Reason for choice:

I've always loved the sculpt, and Twyla is a black character and needed a doll with the right sculpt and resin color. Iplehouse is great for that! I also chose her on the SID body to be a good size next to her travel partner, who is shelled as Dollshe Aramis.

Best Points:

SO. GORGEOUS!! Her sculpt, the resin color, the body, the hands and feet. Just everything about this girl is stunning. Her posing is pretty good too, compared to the older Iplehouse dolls I've owned. The wait time was exceptional too--1.5 months!

Worst Points:

The price. She's the second most expensive doll I've ever owned.

Twyla Ursa Knightley

When my sister and I were coming up with characters for a fantasy roleplay, she has chosen Sunny for her boy and Twyla was on my list of names. Seeing as Sunny is the cheerful, curious type, he is the light to Twyla's dark humor, skeptical side. Ursa after Ursa Major "the Bear" constellation. Knightley is word play on "nightly", but also "knight" as she is strong, determined and will fight til the end.

Twyla is the granddaughter of a mad scientist, Dr. Lewellyn Knightley. As such, she has been the guinea pig for many of his experiments, but the main perk is that she has the ability to travel between times, distances, universes and even into dreams and fairytales, all simply by imagining the setting, and a device implanted in her head links up with a portal opened by a key fob she carries at all times. Twyla has a huge range of friends from every place imaginable. She met her travel partner, Sunny, when she was running from some guys trying to catch her, and he pulled her into a shimmering puddle, and into an underwater world. When she changes settings, she can transform to better blend into the place, whether that's by changing physical form, or just showing up dressed appropriately. She is outgoing, strong willed, tough, adventurous, friendly and smart, but also impatient, easily annoyed, impulsive and a bit of a smartass. There is no telling where this girl might end up next, or for what reason.
