Planetdoll Dolls

I came across these dolls today and was surprised to see that there was no mention of them on here. So I thought I'd see what everyone thought.

I think the site pictures are unappealing at best but after looking around a bit I saw that these dolls have tons of potential!

I've seen only one or two planetdoll dolls uphere I really like the mold esp Riz she looks great with a good face up, its a pity the dolls on the website have a "not so good" face up and thats an understatement !

Oh yes, they are resin. The resin has a nice weight and feel to it, with a lovely creamy beige color. Mine aren't shiny at all, they are nice and matte and the seamlines are very minimal. Really very nice dolls, I am happy with her, and hope to order a body for the gift head.
The only thing that I don't like is the waist joint, when I stand the doll straight upright there is a gap at the joint, but of course, when clothed it can't be seen, so a minor point.

So glad there is interest in these girls! Shipment from order to receiving was about 12 days. DAYS, mind you, not months, such a nice surprise. They also fit easily into MSD clothes, shoes, and wigs and I squeezed my girl into Unoa sized clothes--not the best fit, but she can wear them. And I am anxiously checking the Planetdoll site for news of the Mini-Riz release, they told me she would be available sometime in January. I too am hoping the mini will have lots of friends in the future. She looks like my long wished for tiny girl come true!

I'm also really excited about mini riz! ...I think she will make the perfect doll for my sd girl!

and did you see the mermaid .WOW ...I do a mermaid and OMG ..There is no way I would attempt to make them this size ..its amazing ..and a very unique twist

the more I look at these ..the more I like them

I do have a couple of large dolls Im selling ..and I can see these taking their place , Love THE 41 inch
she would look lovely with my Tae and Unoa2
and that tiny ..a must
and ...great price too

Oi! Just when I'd decided on a puki for my next doll I have to find this thread, lol. Riz is such a sweetheart! I definitely think she's a girl to add to the family.

What's PlanetDoll like, as far as ordering goes? Like shipping & such...

Well, it seems that turn around time is really fast... like 10-15 days between ordering the doll, and the doll being sent out! (I ordered on Dec. 21, and received my shipping notice on Jan. 2... she'll probably be delivered tomorrow or tues - a total wait of about 15 days!!)

Shipping for one doll is $48, and the shipping was the same including an event head... I don't know about multiple dolls though!

When I asked questions on the Q&A board, the response was always quick and friendly

Just discovered these and I just love them. I can't wait to see more owner pics. Seems like all the ones I've seen are of Riz who I love but I'd love to see the others as well. All the face sculpts look gorgeous.

It seems people have been getting Riz. Has anyone gotten a Roseanne? And has anyone seen the new sculpt head Tara? She looks sad....but cute.

I confess I have a Riz too. I love my Riz. She's fantastic. I stumbled upon her on ebay last year while looking for some deals. She was a real steal because no one knew about the company yet. Now people are starting to get into Planetdoll. The coolest thing is her hands. They are so well sculpted. One thing, though, is that she is 43cm and most MSDs are more in the 40cm range. She looks a little big boned next to my other MSDs. I still love her to pieces, though.

Oh Toydogz, they are both so beautiful. You must be thrilled with them. I don't know which I like better. Congrats on getting two such amazing girls.

eeks.. a friend and enabler just sent me this thread.. that tiny 27 cm one is TDF

can't wait to see them in person as the bodies look similar to Dollstown even down to the thicker ankles..
