New Felix Doll MoMo, Have you seen it?

Don't think I've heard anyone else discussing MoMo, but I'm planning on getting one after I get my Puki Puki Piki, they look kind of similar.

Here's the link: http://www.ajumapamausa.com/FELIX/Br...Momo/Momo.html

Ironically the size isn't posted today, it was yesterday and I saved it to give Carolyn S. for her Tiney Size Chart here on Doa so here that information is:

Made by FelixDoll sold at Ajumapama usa
Comes in White Skin or Normal Skin
-Stature: 11cm
-Head: 9.3cm
-Eyes: 8mm
-Neck: 2.9cm
-Bust: 5.6cm
-Shoulder: 2.6cm
-Waist: 5.7cm
-Hip: 6.8cm
-Foot: ?cm
-Wigs: 3~4

I believe the price was around $290? and it only came in a basic set which included a random wig and eyes (I remember because it said exchange eye program, and I wasn't sure what that was)

Thanks for saving the size info!

Momo's joints look amazing for an 11cm doll! Momo is double-jointed all over the place.

Too many cute tinies this year

fp1989, it's not a new Puki Piki. It's from a total different company.

I do agree Momo looks like Puki. Again also very different :P
I love how the head is attached. No more tiny s-hooks and bleeding fingers.

Edit: My bad, the limbs are clearly not the same as Puki's. The coincidence is remarkable, but must be just that -- a coincidence.

Wow I'm really impressed with the engineering. It's really creative! The posing looks amazing and the way the whole doll is assembled is just fantastic! I love the eye holders, that looks so much easier. I wish all companies had something like that. I'm sick of the putty - it's a pain in the booty.

My first thought was also - hey, that's a Puki!

The limbs do not "look exactly like Puki Puki limbs". The joints are not the same.

Momo has kneecaps that wrap around the side of the limb, double-jointed elbows with obvious elbow cap on the outside of the arm, and a double-jointed torso:
Pick zoom on the top photo here then chose the lowest photoset on the right - the bottom photo of that pair has the limbs straight:
http://www.ajumapamausa.com/FELIX/Br...Momo/Momo.html

Puki Puki has round kneecaps and does not appear to have double-jointed elbows or a double-jointed torso:

I have a Pukipuki right in front of me -- the joints aren't the same at all.

I'd say this doll is heavily "inspired by" Pukipuki, but it's not a copy.

Kind of looks like a Pukipuki and an Orientdoll Vampire got naughty in a shipping container, and this is the result!!

I'm jealous of those hands..

The magnetic neck/head and eye system are very innovative!
I love how poseable these are - the magnetic system on the wrists and ankles seems very fragile.

Same here.

Everyone, please remember that even implied accusations can have a major impact on a company's reputation from which they may never recover. Unless someone has compared these dolls side-by-side, there really is no cause for starting an inflammatory discussion about the fact they "may" have been copied.

The eye holder is really neat - you can still angle the eyes however you want.

The video of Momo head functions: http://www.ajumapamausa.com/FELIX/FELIXFMD-video.html

And just some info - Puki Puki was announced on 10/25/2007. The Momo video is dated 11/15/2007. So it's hard to say whether either was influenced buy the other. They are each amazing.

My first thought were Puki, and they are similar, but looking at them both they are for sure not the same.

Really cute head, i love the ears

Yes my first thought too a puki with an extra body joint. The none falling off wig and the easy change eyes and flex limbs are impressive. The puki faces are to dye for though.

Does anyone see buy buttons for her/him? (not that I am buying)

I do NOT see buttons Karen says the buy buttons are below the videos. I see nothing below.

This is from Karen:
They are $185 no face up, $212 with face up, you can pick white skin or normal and shipping in the USA is Insured Priority $8.00

The Eye Exchange Program is the little eyemech inside the head which holds the eyes in place without putty, and allows for easy adjustment of eye position. It's shown in the first video.

I see "Add to Cart" buttons to the right of the videos.

I don't really feel these are that similar to Puki Puki, other than in size and general use of magnets. I bet we'll be seeing a lot more dolls using a similar sort of magnetic system in the coming year or so. It's quite revolutionary!

I think it's a browser issue. I see them in Firefox but not in IE.

Firefox : yellow add to cart button on right under drop down options

IE: view cart button on left
