Bobobie Eric comes home ...comparison Naked boys

I said I would take photos of Bobobie when he arrived and my honest opinion
so here is is

I have a Wishel ...love my Wishel ...and would buy more if I could pay by PayPal
I love her size , her delicate sculpt , she has IMO a more balanced realistic face

and I love my new Bobobie
I contacted Dennis of Bobbobie and told him I would be writing up my findings here
I would have contacted Leroi ...but I didnt think she would like my results

but I honestly think the tiny market is large enough for everyone

Now the images are large ...and nakie
and as clear as I can get them ,...there is a bit of shine , light here today is terrible
and I had to get out my spotlights

Firstly the resin quality is lovely ...finished off superbly
he came in a very sturdy file box and a soft padded case
he is a good inch , inch and a half taller than Wishel
he is heavier , and resin in more like my Yo than my Wishel

he stands very well
Wishel dosnt like to stand up much ...poor baby . must get around to restringing her

my fist impression was , that the Bobbobie is a more refind sculpt
the hands and feet have fine detailing





the classic front and back shots
the torso of Wishel has a hole belly button ...similar to Orientdoll and pocketfairy
Bobobie has more detail and more definition at the belly and hips
has a propper little belly button
the photo of the back ...
Hip joints and back of knees are differnt
the buttocks on the Bobobie are more defined
hips joints fit better on the Bobobie

Crotch is wider and shallower on the Wishel

Bobobie hand ...excuse the mohair ...the first few shots I took wernt clear enough
the hand is larger , but finer the fingers are open and have fingernails
it also fits into the arm better

Bobobie foot is larger the joint is a better fit into the lower leg
the lower leg has more shape than the Wishel ...
detailing on the Upper foot ...Bobobie foot has more shape and detailing
the foot also has a slight arch
the Wishel foot you can see the joint more ,the bobobie is in the leg

Profile shots
Bobobie nose is longer and narrower ..and he has less chin ,although slightly deeper and more upper lip
Wishel has more of a smile , wider nose , and a more gentle face sculpt
Wishels eyes are closer togeather , her head is narrower
and the head cap fits on differently

Ear placement is totally diffferent
also the Wishel ear is much cruder
Bobobie ear ...eekkk yellow blob ...not earwax honest !

My over all impression is they are not the same doll
my first impression when I got him out the box was
Different dolls
Bobbobie is not the same as Wishel
there is a simialarity
as there is a similarity between the Wishel , Orrientdoll and PocketFairy

Im pretty sure when other Wishel/Bobobie owners get their dolls they would agree
..but I am the first ...so there you go

IMO
Faults ...head cap falls off , its held on with a little wax
...the yellow in Harrys ear
so I after I put my eyes in I dabbed a little PVA glue on
he is strung a little loosely
but he stands and sits very well so havent found a problem

he is stung normally ...so no falling off of hands and feet

Dennis said 8mm eyes ...he may be better in 9 or 10
the eyes I have are 8mm german glass ...for a more innocent baby like look I would go for 10mm

Bobbobie
service was grreat , fast and friendly ,communication .. goods came well wrapped
...Ok I did a Sqweeeeee ..it was wrapped up in pretty paper ..
Bobobie is a well sculpted tiny ,finished off well , detailed face-up , has weight
poses well , and I would reccomend them to anyone who asked

now I need Erin

Wow this is great, Now I am sure I am going to buy my twins at Bobobie. I want Eric and Erin together as twins, and I was waiting for owner pics.
He is such a lovely boy, but I think I would redo the face up by the eyes.

Oh, i have seen Bobobie... i think it isn't a copy (i don't like the copy honnestly) !i don't like this kind face (but it is really original) but it is more finished doll... (it is only my opinion )

Thanks so much for these pictures, Carrie! They're really helpful, and Eric is so different to Wishel it's laughable. I'm really happy to see the resin, the one thing I never liked about Wishel was their dark resin colour, so I'm happy to see Eric's natural colour ^^

Bobobie's photos don't do their dolls justice, sadly. I would love to get one each of their dolls and take bright, clear pictures with outfits and props and let people see their true quality. (Hint hint, Dennis ^_- *grin*)

tinybear: btw I also had to clean up the ankle joint to get my Wishel to stand up properly. Not sure if yours has the same issue as mine did. The socket of the ankle joint was not cleanly molded. I really like Bobobie's hidden ball joint sytem.

It looks like Bobobie was molded with great tolerances I love the clean ankle,wrist, and elbows

Honestly, this has turned me off of Mythdoll now that they accused Dennis of copying! Clearly there is a huge difference and I think it looks very unprofessional of Mythdoll to shout pirate when he doesn't have the facts

Are you serious? They are accusing Dennis? That's just wrong! These dolls look nothing like the wishels, and the only reason most people had the confidence to buy a wishel was because of Dennis's customer service.
