Humm, the scammer may be someone who knows personally Celyne or who can keep in touch with some of her friends. She indeed has a baby but for several months already.

I just talked to paypal they say if she took the funds out of her account then we won't get our money. I am so fed up of scammers.

Well if she took the funds out of her account it had to go somewhere and I'm sure that has to be trace.
I'm not letting this go easy, thats all I'm saying. Like I said my bank is on top of it also.

hi this is angel dolls hubby here, i have read this post with interest and cant help feel this could have happened to my wife very easily. identity theft is a big problem now i have recently had to remove two key-loggers from my mother inlaws laptop but we need to make attempts to protect ourselves as a community.

as a keen photographer i am all to aware of the value of good quality photos and the scammers main tool is leeching photos from other people and offering the items for sale falsely. the best way to protect everyone and ourselves is to add a watermark to any photos you intend to publish in the public domain, that tie that photo to your user account, be it ebay or den of angels. i have researched a free tool to help every one add watermarks to all their photos.

    this program is totally free
    http://www.picture-shark.com/download.htm

if people think its a good idea and would like instructions on how to use this software i will try and post it as a new thread. let me know if this is required / acceptable.

i have also included a watermarked picture as an example however the file size limit has meant the photo lacks detail but i hope its good enough for you to get the idea. the water mark can be as transparent as you like and can not be removed without destroying the image.

i hope those people directly involved get sorted out as quickly and satisfactorily as possible

    Alan

Bank is on it? can you tell me more about that? I am under the impression it has to be a business your dealing with to get your money back via the bank.

This is definatly going to put me off buying from other countries, if she was in the Usa I would get the police involved, I hope we can anyway. Is anyone from france who was scammed?

I hope this miracle happens because I really don't know how much money the other sent but I sent a lot.

If you had your bank info., on Paypal and paid through Paypal then your bank should look at it like a credit card charge. Your bank will get a hold of Paypal to get there money back because all this happen with Paypal.
I paid most of it with my bank cash and the rest with paypal cash I had.
They said they will let me know in 10 days, the bank will take a little longer.
I here you about buying from other countries but I have bought from all over the world with this never happening to me.
I would like my money in full but if I get the Bank half I'll be a little cool.

Well, as far as we know, no one from France has been scammed. If the thief is French, I bet it would have been discovered quickly as our community is still quite small next to the english-speaking community. Indeed international (false) transactions is way easier and safer for any scammer. However I do really hope everyone will get back at least a part of what was lost.

Just pay with a credit card when using paypal from now on. That way you know that in the event of another scam you can always file a chargeback with the credit card company. Credit card companys will always get your money back for you.

You really have to quickly call the police and doing it collectively may be better. By our side, the persons whom pictures were stolen to commit an infraction can do it as well. Hopefully it will be quickly sorted out.

    Good Luck to you....and all.
about 2 weeks ago, i called in because i filed a case for about $600 payment through my bank. Then i asked if i can contact my bank since the guy on Paypal's end said he can't give out any info to help me. He then said that if i dare to contact my bank, whatever money is in my account will be gone plus i will be in negative......Aren't they lovely.

But if you pay with your cc, go right ahead and file a charge back. the longer you wait, your cc comp might not cover the fraud.

Also according to paypal, the scammer's account with the amount in question "should" be on hold until cases are resolved, and he/she cannot close the account at all.

I hope they will be more help to you since you have more than one persons filing for the same reason...

    x.

GUYS! She almost got me too! This is her original message to me when I posted a WTB BW Luts body in the marketplace.

    Re: BW body
i'm so sorry, i leave in spain, i take only paypal
but payment in 2 times it's possible if you want!

    pics for you :

sorry i have not other pics because my camera is break!!
he's in very good condition, no damaged ,no scratchs.
( head of el is not inclued )
tell me what do you think!
That's the same El she promised to sell somebody else! Very sneaky. She swooped down on WTB threads and contacted us through PMs so nobody could catch her.

Only by sheer luck of being busy did I not end up sending her money.
