On 14th July, I sent Saminc a total of $365, as agreed, to purchase both a minifee head and a-line body (with shipping).
As I understood, the head was being shipped within the UK, but the body was being shipped from New Zealand, with the help of Saminc's mother.
I received the head within a matter of days and was very happy - Saminc had included some eyes for free and the head was well-packaged etc...
However, I'm still waiting for the body and now I seem to have lost touch with Saminc. At the time of sending the payment, she gave me her personal email address, so we sent a few emails back and forth:
On the 27th July, I emailed Saminc to find out if the body had been shipped. She explained that her mother was having trouble accessing the funds from PayPal and that she'd had to make several trips to the bank to work it out, but that it would be sorted...
I emailed again on the 31st July and Saminc replied that there was still a problem, but that she would revert to using Western Union instead, to transfer the shipping funds to her mum in New Zealand. She told me this would take 3 business days.
I haven't heard from her since. The last email I sent on 7th August (asking for an update) has gotten no response, as yet.
It's almost a month since I sent the payment. It's understandable that sometimes problems arise, but I think it's only fair that I should be kept informed. So far, I've had to be the one chasing Saminc for news. At this time, I'm really worried that I've lost the money for the body and shipping (about $300). I (naively) sent the money as a Personal Payment, so I can't raise a dispute via PayPal. It will be an expensive lesson-learned.
But I still have a little hope that Saminc will do the right thing. And I hope this thread might help her do that.
I can't afford to lose that money ;_;
