Hihi! I would like to know what your thoughts are on the dollfie dream sister. Im debating wether to get her next year or not of course she isnt cheap but im saving up.
I also had some questions about her body and height.
First question, would a resin head fit a dds body?? If so what size? Dont get me wrong i love the dd heads but it doesnt go along with my character im working on.
Second question, how tall is 50cm? I would like to see a comparasin if possible.

I have two LE DDS girls, and DD sister body is my most favourite of all DD bodies. It's a bit stockier than the regular DDII and DDIII bodies, the thighs and legs are a little thicker. I don't know if you are familiar with other DD base bodies but the height difference between DDII and DDS is not too much, it's barely noticeable. The pose ability is like the new and improved DDIII body, it's simply amazing!!! DDS body looks gorgeous, poses beautifully, and is suitable for a young/teenage girl character.
I'm not sure about its compatibility with resin heads from other companies, but SQ labs make SD size resin heads to go with the DD base bodies. Hope that helps, good luck!

I understand they don't sell them separately yet -- so any bodies would have to come from LE dolls... but I guess my concern is certain DDS dolls when they do a split might put too much of the cost on the body, when the body is usually the most generic of the LE.
I really want one now to make the companion character for my MDD - but b/c of the body shortage I'm not sure how much is reasonable.. Really against paying way more than what it's worth (of course any item is really worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it... but yknow what i mean! ^^
mangaemi you can get the parts from the volks store it well cost you around 350.00 or more depending on shipping ect. If you want to get a body from the MP you are going to pay 400.00 and up for a DDS body.
I have 2 DDS girls and l love them also they have two size's of bust. My frist girl is the M bust body and the other one is the small bust body.

From my calculations buying DDS in pieces it will be around $330 without shipping being included i dont know how much Volks charges for shipping now days. I really do hope they start selling her all assembled soon lol im sure it would probably save us some money.
Here is Moka (she from rose+vampire) in her coolcat bodysuit. I'm still looking for the right wig for her.
I just went on the Volks site and they're out of the internal frame and the arms --- d'oh! Shipping with volks usually for me is like 20$ for UPS slow-as-all-get-out service.. but I live on the opposite side of the US and I try to make sure I get enough items to make the most of their shipping charge.
If only some of the new Sendai dolls (Especially the Sakura Wars one) was a DDS... then I could justify plunking down some serious cash for her and get the body, a win win... but alas... ~__~
I dont think that volks will make the DDS body available by them self's for quite a while. At least not until next year. The best bet in getting one is getting a body off the Market Place.

Well hopefully they do by next year i can probably wait lol gives me time to save up and draw more ideas out for her character too. I can never seem to find a DD or DDS on the market place on here.

I usually check mandarake, yahoo japan auctions, and dollfiedreams.com for items I'm looking for. I'm trying to find a way to do a split to get the body, that's always an option too : )

Mz. Spade l'm not sure on the on those typ of heads if they well fit on the DDS body. The DDS hands are hard and you have to pull them off.

yea like if you see a full set doll on Mandarake or Yahoo Japan auctions if you know enough people (obviously there has to be strong trust here ;D) you go on the doll as a group and everything is pieced out, like the body, head, eyes, clothes, shoes, etc. usually it's off a percentage : )Ooh so theres a possibility i can find a whole?

Mz. Spade the only resin head that l know of that fit the DDS body is the SQ Lab heads due to l have one. I'v head that there could be some prombles with cracking but l'v had not ran into these prombles has of yet.
