Sneaking in to share a bit of my Shaun! He FINALLY got a faceup yesterday.



He'll hopefully be getting his proper clothes this week. I'm thinking of investing in a can of purity seal since MSC really does nothing for keeping his resin that really pretty tan >< Plus the gloss on this faceup decided it wanted to go EVERYWHERE and ruined part of the faceup under his eye, making it look really odd -sob-

I can't choose which eyes I want to use on her... I like the pretty brown but the purple makes her come to life more somehow... what would you pick..?

]alogue[/URL]: Aww, good luck with that then. I haven't tried doing face-ups myself, but I've heard horror stories of MSC on tanned skin from friends. And I'm not sure if we have purity seal here."orz This is making me reconsider Shaun in SB skin but...guuuh no. That skin is too delicious!xD

Yeah MSC likes to cloud the tan resin and make it a few shades paler then the actual color. I've heard nothing but good remarks about purity seal, which is made in the USA and easy to obtain for the most part from most specialty hobby stores and such. (It's used more commonly on warhammer figures) And from what I hear there is no clouding over the resin so tan stays nice and tan hehe
Don't let that deter you though, the sandy brown skin is sooooooo nice <3



Another picture of Ira, he's at home waiting patiently for me to come home with his new clothes! I ordered a few things from IH, I imagine the pants are going to be rather short in the leg but I'm hoping they'll fit around his waist. I got him a shirt too that is a bit dark, but I'm hoping with the vest I got him it will all tie in together

Does SD NS match Dollzone Pink NS: No. Souldoll is severely more pink where as Dollzone pink NS is more melony. Does that make sense? LOL Souldoll is closer in tone to Doll Family Pink NS. Out of all of my NS dolls Souldoll is the most pink.

Sorry to intrude on the thread, but does anyone know why on the description for Diammah they have a caution about Sandy Brown skin? That's not listed as a color option, and the other pages I've looked at for the new dolls don't mention it. Her skin looks to be a bit purple to me in some of the pictures, but maybe that's just my monitor settings? I think she's beautiful, and I'm so glad none of their new dolls are limiteds!

EmbracedLight: Aww ... that's too bad!!! If I ever get a Soulkid head it will have to have the default face up, so I guess blushing won't work, but I'm optimistic Thanks a bunch for the info though!! ^_^

kanis04 - Oh you don't need to enable. I'm putting the saving up for HC Crichton on the back-burner and going all ahead full for Diammah. I'm hoping to do layaway so it doesn't hurt too bad initially.

The DZ thing. As far as I know, my SD resin is from 2012 and my DollZone resin is 2011 and it's not matching at all. Maybe with current resin??? SD is like petal pink, DZ while still pink normal is more like melony pink. It's too yellow.

FrigidDamsel - Lazy webpage master is what that is. The person who establishes their website just took the code from one page and put it up on another. Maybe they're going to offer it later and wanted to put up something about the option. The purple you're seeing is SD and their gosh darned photoshop.

EmbracedLight: Thanks for explaining that! It's too bad that the real color of the doll won't look like that - I liked the faint purplish tinge. It's strange that they photoshopped her to look like that, but not the other dolls in the series.

FrigidDamsel: No problem! Souldoll on occasion will darken down it's photos or in this case saturate them a little purple. She does look cute in that soft purple shade but the lower pictures you can see she's really white. I'd love a purply doll. That'd be fun!

EmbracedLight: I think if the purple was really subtle, I'd love it. She seemed almost like she was glowing in those pictures. Regardless, she's still a pretty doll! I'd like to see pictures when you get her.

FrigidDamsel: Souldoll sometimes releases dolls in special skin (like Lev in yummyyyy apricot) but only as LEs. I can def see what you mean about the pics being slightly purplish though.xD

Hypercurve: If Souldoll doesn't offer a free head event this Xmas, I'll have to go with a DZ Mo-head for my friend and I can definitely take some comparison pics for you. Otherwise, it will just have to be a comparison between Souldoll and Fdoll, sorry.^^;

Here is some Amy (Yewon) spam that I said I would post! I had her dressed as Red Riding Hood for so long it was time for a change, plus the ribbon from her cape left a stain. Thankfully the magic eraser took that out! My summer vacation is quickly running out, I was hoping to find time to make her some new clothes...for now she's in a dress that barely fits...
