What did you order?
Merry Doll Round Head (Merry) in fresh skin + Custom Face-up (she also came with tongue and teeth parts)
When did you order?
February 9, 2012 (I was tying to figure out if the head would work before that though, so I probably have a whole list of emails to Merry Doll Round earlier than this.)
How did you order? (Etsy, Facebook...etc?)
I used the email that she gave here on DoA (now she has a website).
How was the communication?
It was ok. I started contacting her once every week or 2 when the head had still not arrived and everyone else on DoA had received theirs. She stopped responding on May 31st and I used a vairtey of communication methods to try to reach her (email, facebook, flickr, comments on blog, DoA, etc.). I also called USPS several times. I finally got a response on June 25th. She said that she would send me a new head if USPS could not find mine.
How easy was it to pay?
Very easy, I used Paypal.
How long did it take to ship?
It did not take that long to ship, but it didn't arrive until June 27. 2012.
Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Yes and no. I love the head and the face-up, but there is a gap between the head cap the actual head of the doll. The inside of the head is not very smooth either (it has many pits). One of the magnets fell out when I opened it as well, so it had to be reglued.
Did the item look like the sales pictures?
Yes, it did.
Were you satisfied with the product?
Yes, except for the head gap (I can live with the pits on the inside of the head).
If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
There is really nothing to be done about the head gap. When the head didn't arrive right away Merry Doll Round did finally contact the post office in May and I did end up receiving it.
