Unfortunately that doesn't terribly surprise me, Awtan. I suspect the FBI tends to concentrate their resources on the big/organized scammers that are taking large quantities people for tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars, or dealing in identify theft, not individuals who have flaked on ~$2000 of private transactions.

Well, my dad is a licensed private investigator, and I did ask him to pull a background check just to confirm that the address we got from Evenstar1 was correct and up-to-date (it is). If she was dead it would have shown up in the background check, so I know she's at least alive. Now, if she's just horribly ill or hospitalized or something, that wouldn't show up, so it's still a possibility.

Hm, I hadn't thought of a private investigator. I would imagine the cost of hiring one for something like this would probably greatly exceed the money lost in this transaction, though. Of course, I'm just speculating on that. I don't know what P.I.s charge for their services.

Ok, I suppose I should add one more drop of dirt to her name.
I payed for her Coquina (which she claimes she has in her profile). On 9th of June 2012 I made a final payment, on 13th gave her my adress and no word from her since that time. I thought that everything was lost, but today I saw that she appeared on forum. Last Activity Yesterday 03:28 PM.
But there's one more thing: her inbox is full (I believe I know why), and I cannot send her a pm. That is why I'm writing here, probably she'll see this.
