Hey all! Joining this discussion because I have a Fir boy incoming So many lovelies in this discussion! Its definitely been one of my favorites to lurk in! A question, since someone mentioned Dale Rae shoes in the Rosette clothing database, do Rosettes have feet the same size as a minifee? I'm guessing shoes will be tricky, so that would be wonderful if they are the same size!

I recently had a mini-meet with someone who has a minifee. I tried the shoes that I have for Livi which are Teen Trends on her because I have a minifee body on layaway. And I was pleased to find that the new minifee body and Livi can indeed wear the same shoes.

So long story short, Rosettes can wear minifee shoes.

Yay! Thanks a88_angel! That means I can order some from Deb's Adorables! I'm glad they dont have super odd shaped feet like Doll Chateau. Shoes for those guys are impossible to find!

If you are desperate for shoes and aren't going for -too- realistic of a look, however. I find most MSD shoes can fit if you tuck a little bubblewrap into the toe. The ones I got were a whopping 6.7 CM long (!!), but my roommate has a Impldoll MSD, who has pretty much the exact same size of foot as a Rosette, so we tried them on him. With that tad bit of wrap, it secures the shoe and the width doesn't seem to be a problem. ^_^

It gives a slightly Kingdom Hearts-ish look (the massive cartoony feet), but that could be the shoes I have also.

And also welcome, GoroChaggi! So many Rosette boys are coming with this event...I can't wait to see them all post-modding. Gonna be gorgeous.

Yes, Minifee shoes definitely work on a Rosette. ^_^
I've been to a tiny meet on Sunday (with the wonderful elisa_maza and her equally as lovely friend Brightstar1008!) and they have a very similar feet size.
They are also very similar in built (though obviously Rosette girls are way longer), so some clothing might fit, too.

Rosettes can wear LittleFee clothes XD

That's funny – does anyone have photos of the type of YoSD and MNF clothing that's fitting? All the stuff I've tried that's not tailored directly to Rosettes is either too big (MNF) or too small (YoSD) and definitely too short across the board.

In other fit news, I was super excited to find out from a friend who brought them to a meet up that the shoes from Little MissMatched fashion dolls fit our girls! (At least the Mary Janes, I haven't tried any of the others.) I picked up a set at Toys R Us as back up shoes until I find a good pair for my incoming Vela.

HoneyDelf panties fit Rosettes reeally well! My Delilah is wearing some lovely frilly ones.
Most YoSd things are a bit hit and miss... Sleeves and pants being too short or to tight and such~
I've had better luck with stretchy 1/6 (or 12-inch) action figure shirts as they seem to be made a bit bigger than the standard "Yo" (and also have proportionate buttons yay!) :3

These are photos from Azuria on Flickr. I asked her about the clothes they are wearing:

So, on the pictures Ayah & Laska wear TTYA yo-sd sized overalls, some Unoa/MNF sized clothes and we also tried Pullip clothes, for instance the long dresses look like tunic on Rosette body (however, it depends of the clothes and it fits only with the Rosette small bust body).

Actually the TTYA pants they wear are yo-sd sized but TTYA clothes are loose (on a yo-sd, the pants look really really loose), but I think it's depend of the clothes, so I can just advise you to try :/

I had also tried Dollmore Narsha clothes and it fits pretty well.
Lywann put a Nine9style yo-sd sized dress on Laska and it was ok, I don't have photo unfortunately.

Sorry again for the late of my answer,

    Thanks,

    Azuria
Do note that their Rosettes are on Girl body.

    Thistle!

It's an overcast day here in WA, which is good for white-skinned dolls. I have trouble taking pictures of them because they get so overexposed.

At home: Thistle (Soom Rosette Extra-Curricular Camellia), Myrtle (Luts Kid Delf Litchi), Poppy (iMda Doll Modigli), Azami (BlueFairy PF Yoko), Kiku (Soom Choice Sakura)
    Waiting for: BlueFairy SF Hana

Look who finally got some camera time, too!
Also, I have changed her name. Wink is not Wink anymore - she is now Daphne.

So let me ask you all a question about eyes. My choice Sakura will be coming without eyes, so I'm looking around for some for her. But I want her to have brown eyes, and Soom doesn't have brown on their Rosette site.

My BJD experience is pretty limited, but it's my understanding that Rosette eyes are unique to their line. Am I mistaken? Is there somewhere that I can find brown eyes that Azami will be able to wear? Wigs is no problem...

Jane, while they have a poor choice of eyes on Rosette site, all Soom eyes will fit and you can order cross-site (provided in same currency) and I am sure there are brown eyes in The Gem section (Soom Eyes: http://dollsoom.com/eng/shop/list.php?ca_id=1060).
You'd have to make sure which size though.
If she hasn't shipped yet, you can probably combine orders if you decide to go with that.

Yes, Rosettes have "bumps" in their eye wells which are meant to hold silicone eyes without putty and any hard eyes will not fit well unless you remove the bumps.
This is easily done with sand paper. While itsefl irreversible, it's no problem since even if you want to use silicones again, you just use putty as with normal doll.

  15. #35
I knew I could sand off the bumps, but I was afraid I'd be unable to use the original silicone eyes again. I totally forgot about the putty, duh! I feel like a dork but I'm glad I asked.

    Thanks Sethrea and Malaryrush!

I've heard the new Rosettes are shipped without the eye nubs anyway, *Jane*. So it might not be an issue at all. ^_^ Without the eye nubs you can use any eye (provided the right size), any material, and it should fit just fine.

Which ones ? Those ones from 'free choice' event ?
I own a Delilah from 'Pure Delilah' batch and she still has got those stupid 'nubs' in her head, so that I had to sent her for modification .
But it would be great if this is true, that new Rosettes are now free from those 'nubs'. Maybe in future I'll buy one more Rosette and will have no problems with eye fitting ^^

Man, I really hope they got rid of the nubs. I'd rather not have to have my girl modded when I'm finally able to get her, and I'm a little nervous about silicone eyes.

I received my Vela without the nubs. Hopefully, all future Rosettes will come without them because they are very annoying!

    Idemo: Hopefully the 'free choice' event ones, yes. ^_^ I heard some of the Vela and Delilah orders did not come with nubs, aye, but I'm not sure which ones. I'm going to post a question to SOOM on the 23rd (as Victoria requested) to ask if they will include them, and if so if they can go ahead and sand them off there...sometimes companies will do requests like that. -shrug- I've never personally ordered from SOOM, but it's worth a shot. I don't trust myself to do ANYTHING of the sort, however simple, and frankly I don't want to pay for such a small 'mod' on such a simple thing. But, if I have to...^^;
