Congratulations to all who are going to get dolls during this white skin choice event!!

Finally, I decided to wait and see if BF will do a choice for tanned dolls or another limited tan with a head that I want.

I have been popping in to see everyone’s lovelies now and then and enjoying the eye candy immensely.

Mavis, “baked” May V is still my only BF TF and she decided she wants darker eyebrows and finer lower eyelashes so she is off to a spa the end of this month for a makeover.

She will come visiting here when she returns home again.

I am considering buying her some more shoes as a welcome home gift.
Does anyone own a pair of the flat shoes to know how they look on a doll and perhaps a picture of them being worn that I can see?

Does anyone own a pair of the lace-up heeled boots to know how they look on a doll and perhaps a picture of them being worn that I can see? It could be the angle of the photo on the seated doll that is making them look so bulky and throwing me off.

Does anyone own a pair of the Walker boots to know how they look on a girl doll and perhaps a picture of them being worn that I can see? Are the Walker boots the same size with the same sole length as the Laceup boots with just shorter boot shafts?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light on my questioning.

Oh, hello new thread! Have some Finnegan spam to get things rolling!

I only just saw about the WS event - that's quite exciting! I won't be getting anything this time around, but I can't wait to see everybody else's pretty new kids when they arrive!

Waiting for: Soom Sueve/Adamelli, AD Lapis, LUTS KDF Lolly
For Sale: Lots of eyes, a wig and BJD-sized hardcover books!

Keeping with the Tommy spam for the new thread, here is Sebastian!

From the previous thread: Loki's Mom, contact Bluefairy via their Q&A board, not email. I had the same problem once with the Paygate saying my card was the wrong number and the order didn't go through. We clarified the issue and I had to resubmit the order.

Babyelf, I love the default Bluefairy face-ups because they are so subtle and I prefer that look (all but one of mine have the BF default), but they also look great with other kinds of face-ups! Check around on the Gallery database and on Flickr, there are some great Tiny Fairies out there with non-default face-ups!

passionasfashion, I have a pair of the Walker boots--don't think they are in any of my pictures. If I have time today, I'll try to get a shot of them. The one thing I did not like about them is that they are difficult to put on the doll's feet, though. I also have a pair of the flat shoes--again, I'll try to take some pics.

Very envious of all the WS Tiny Fairies being ordered--I can't swing it as we have some other bills coming up. (Real life can be so pesky!!) Looking forward to seeing the pictures!

Just got them uploaded, but here's a pic of Kaida's new kimono!
It's a commission I got from DraconicMaiden at Anime Boston.

Sorry for the sloppy pic, I'm still very amateur when it comes to this :3

Here's an older photo of Eden and Harley to kick things off. I can't believe I got the last post in the last thread! Go me!

navci, I have to say, you have a very unique-looking Tommy. I think it's the size of her eyes--she almost doesn't look like a Tommy at all!

I must confess, my favourite part of a thread is the welcome-spam at the beginning. ;D

breathless waltz by rainwaltz, on Flickr

    I haven't taken any photos of Miu for a while, because I've been way distracted by my SDs. XD;;

angelcallie Love Finn's little hounds-tooth vest! I do so adore a dapper boy~

Reynardine The blue shirt Sebastian is wearing brings out the blue in his eyes! *is sucker for eyes matching clothes*

Durgaaz Dolls in traditional Chinese/Korean/Japanese outfits always look so well, and Kaida is no exception!

navci Theo seems to take very well to Tomato, despite his shyness. XD Must be the BFBFF magic.

Shannon M. Eden's little autumn-y outfit is so adorable! I really love the pairing of the nordic leggings and turtleneck sweater.

Oh boy, I love Tommy spam! Here's my contribution to keep it alive. Also, he has a custom faceup for anyone curious about how that looks. I think it suits him, Tinyfairies look great default but they have so much potential to be other kinds of styles as well. Punk wouldn't look right with the gentle look of the default faceup.

Rainwaltz I especially wanted to tell you that you have one of the most beautiful dolls I've ever seen. You singlehandedly made me want a Whiteskin May. Your photos always turn out wonderfully, do you have any tips for shooting Tinyfairies?

You singlehandedly made my jaw drop with this comment! ♥ I really appreciate that you enjoy my photos. :3 Also I am super-biased, but I think everyone should have a May, her expression is just so cute and the little teeth are my favourite! *squee*

For TFs -- I can't say too much on them, because I've only had Miu for a few months and I'm sure people with more experience like navci (I love her photos too!) will have better advice than I do. I will say that getting the correct eye size and position definitely helps, because TFs have large round eyes and it can be hard to find eyes that fit well and don't look stare-y. For May, putting her eyes looking straight ahead makes her look very crossed-eyed, because of her eye shape, so having her glance sideways instead looks much better.

Also I think using the atmosphere of a photo to bring across your doll's personality makes for a more interesting shot because it helps them seem more "alive". I do think you've achieved that with Mickey - he sure looks like a mischievous boy! The pose of the doll also really helps with bringing across a message. I am quite bad with posing dolls but I'm trying to improve on that and make them look as if they're in motion or moving.

hush'd heav'n by rainwaltz, on Flickr

On the other hand Miu is more of a elegant young lady. :P

And of course having good lighting is definitely a bonus! On the days that I don't get enough light inside my house, I either head outside or set up some additional lamps or just wait for a brighter day to take photos. >w<

Katou_Kei Heehee, love Leica's name. ;D For reasons. *is camera dork*

New thread! Awesome. So much awesome spam to get things kicked off.

I've been so busy I haven't taken doll pictures in a while, especially with me deciding to revamp most of my collection. I am going to a nice doll meet this weekend, so hopefully I'll get some new shots taken.

Contributing to the discussion of how BF dolls really look great repainted, here's one of Natsume from an older shoot I never shared before. Sometimes, he looks like a total creeper.

As for those who ordered someone new in WS, what are your plans for them?

My incoming Niky girl is going to be the new MSD reshelling of my old Volks Bianka, Sayuri. Thus, the most spoiled, most rotten pretty pretty princess in the world.
Bluefairy - Kurenai, Natsume, Lati - Loki
Esthy - Keigo, Fairyland - Rex, Sif, Loki, and Loki
    DIM - Creepy Tom
