Oh... I did forget it! You've got a good memory, Risou!
Mmmm. What a nice back. I'd love to know if Crocus was still working on it or not.

Alewife - You actually managed to find a Shakespearean theme for the coral? ... You are Queen of the Shakespeare. Heehee.

Sanity...? What is this word of which you speak?

    English Lit major.

I'd forgotten that picture too. Nice back! I don't really have a need for MSD size... but never say never, where Granado is concerned.

When I saw that part, I thing it's a flower piece. But they said its a coral structure... so I think they picked the story "Tempest" too. Alewife, you read a lot Shakespeare, isn't it?^^

That doll back is very slim, I like it!

Sorry I don't know. But I think it's a boy, you can see his hips are small.

just notice they have updated weibo today!!

    From Google translate:
Do you remember this head? (Red circle) recently finally finished makeup will go HKDP for display! In fact, the first end, I changed a lot of places, and now in-kind look completely different and the old plan.

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!! Seems the surprising thing is this head. That lips are killing me! I wanna go that event so much, now!
    Love. Love. Love. My Adam!

oh wow. The lips remind me a lot of LLT Edria, and I LOVE that sculpt because of the lips.

Those three heads are so different! I love right one the best. Looking forward to see it!

I think that head in the red circle is quite lovely at the first time when I saw it. Even though they only show the lips and nose, I can still see the super cute head.
It reminds me Fayette but after she has face up, I like this one more. Are they noticed another in webog?

  18. #658
That is Davon isn't it? Love what I see.
    My Doll Blog
    Waiting: Granado Charles, V-05(head), Guilem(head)

Hmmm I do not see any news updated in their weibo, they are very silent in the near few weeks.

In this picture, the left one is Davon, middle is Chaka and the right one(with the red circle) is an un-named head.
I think they are changed a lot. Just can't wait to see her full face!

Rosslyn, can't wait to see your archer photoshoot! I have seen doll-size bows cut out of wood, in the bent shape. Or could you make the bow in three pieces? The grip as a solid piece, and the two arms out of something bendy?
    Lol, you're right!
The type of bow I mean to make for him doesn't have the modern recurve shape of Riser+Limbs. It's an English longbow, which I'll be modeling after my own: http://www.3riversarchery.com/bows+p...X_product.html It's more or less a "stick and string" construction, tillered and nocked but still fairly simple in shape. Because he won't actually be firing it, I can make two versions of it out of something inflexible. One version will be slack, the other at full draw, so he has two "poses" of it to use for pictures. I may go ahead and make a third version at half draw.

Lucky that you already had some stuff that fit him. Especially getting boots over those calves! ^^ Given that they appear to be so large and thick though, Granado boys turn out to be surprisingly lean, don't they? I was quite surprised at the amount of stuff they fit into.
The pants were made by PamSD and I think they're meant to be roughly SD17 size. The thing about his boots is that they're Medieval boots- contrary to Hollywood, you almost never saw calf high boots until the 1500s or so, Tudor into Early Renaissance- so these boots are ankle boots. I made them for a 60cm doll, but this Granado boy has such teeny wee feets, and good thing too. Being a forester, he needs boots more than Mathonwy does, so I've given the boots to him and promised Math some nice indoor-worker shoes. Mathonwy remains skeptical but is agreeing that being a scribe doesn't call for boots anyhow. : D

Older wood doesn't bend that easily (even with steaming) and some types of wood are more brittle than others. My high school woodworking teacher advocated shaping your wood on the same day it was cut. Hehe. He then had us trying to shape wood that had likely been stored in the tech room for the past ten years!
Whatever you decide to use for it, I can't wait to see your guy drawing back his bow! Like everyone else, I'm really looking forward to your photoshoot.
Yeah, I think it was the wood, and even soaking it, it was just not bendy enough, and I don't have access to or time for the work it'd take to do this right with wood. I'll be using the Apoxie and wire technique and making various versions of the bow for different poses.
Thanks! I'm starting to think I might need to make him a deer or at least some wild geese to shoot at and carry home.
