Ah, well that explains why they are so beautiful. Dollflower eyes are amazing, I have one pair in silver that came with my BC Pepe Elf girl. They look incredible in photographs and in person.

Thank you So Much for sharing your experience with changing eyes, I am both incredibly grateful and entirely Intimidated to change little Fivers eyes. He has these little down slanting rabbit like lashes I sooo don't want to mess up, but I can't seem to keep my hands off of him, so they are probably going to end up hugged, cuddled or kissed off soon enough, so maybe I will eventually gather the nerve to change out his eyes.

I really love all my dolls, but so many things about Fiver has me so incredibly entranced. I find his older body sooo cuddly. I really love the tactile feel of him, how solid these Yo's are, and how soft and wonderful the resin feels. I also really like how the head and body scale truly has these looking like little kids. I also really like how they open up the doors to the whole Volks mystique, I can't Wait to visit the NY store. Does anyone know if they do naming ceremonies there, and can one do that for a Volks bought secondary market on MP? I really can't keep my hands off little Fiver, I got him a new outfit and am hoping on some more. I can't seem to figure out how to make a pattern of these little Birkenstocks I made him, but I will keep trying. It was a sort of odd construction idea I am not quite sure how to explain, but I will try to in the crochet thread once I get a little better at how I did his shoes. I am now working on a little cap for him as he is looking rather bedhead with my playing with him so much.

TiGGy is also enjoying playing with Fiver, I think she enjoys finally having a big brother to romp around and adventure with.

GoodbyeKitty I would sooo end up removing eyelashes, I just know it! I seriously adore your Megu! Its so interesting how true it is that the commas can be seen both ways. YeP Fiver is named for his psychic abilities, but he is just so incredibly sweet looking I keep rereading Watership Down and thinking maybe Pipkin for a name, but my hubby likes his name remaining Fiver so thats probably going to stick, will see. I really like your naming stories, LOL I love the one about the guy friend! I will definitely keep an open mind about renaming, as I really love the name Imogene came to - she is so lovely!

AreeElf - Thank you for being so incredibly helpful, and I just had to giggle at your friends "Eunuch" Yo, that is such an adorable idea. I really do love what you did with your Juniha, she looks so much more beautiful than any of the default pictures. Thank you so much for that link to the X-20, I am still finding all these new terms and items overwhelming, so the links help immensely - Thank You! I do use the Macks and swear by it. I found the little bits of Velcro hold on Fivers wig really well, but I have also used Nexus tape both to help create wig holders, and also sometimes to stabilize a wobbly headed doll. Thankfully these Yo's seem to have really sturdy well supported heads. I am wondering though, the Yo hands on Volks still have no order button so I am guessing that the ordering period hasn't actually started, but little Fiver has webbed fingers and the Yo hands shown for sale eventually don't have the webs at all - is this web fingered thing common? I am wondering if anyone has tried removing the webbing, I am afraid I would just break off a finger or something. So for now I am just considering that part of Fiver's rabbityness

The VolksUSA is actually located Torrence, CA . However, Volks has had several Dolpas in NY in collaboration with FDQ. I think they have only had the naming ceremonies at special events in Torrence and at the Japanese stores of course. You could always email VolksUSA and ask them, they are very nice and helpful.

DollZWize As NabeeRain said the only US Volks store is in Torrance, California. It's tiny but packed with SD items on the second floor. They don't allow photos in the store the exception being the photo area. Not sure if they offer omukae for second hand Volks dolls. They used to scheduled them at the Volks mansion but they no longer have the mansion. You can always ask them about it via email if you plan to visit. The store is only open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays. (FAQ on visiting and other stuff)
Some default hands do have extra webbing that make them look webbed. I usually leave them alone unless it 's a big annoying piece. The newer option hands have better finger separation and definition. My Hazen wears the hands that came with Don't be Late Set so it's curved and fingers are all fused. I don't like separating fingers unless really necessary. Sometimes the process weakens the fingers, why risk broken fingers ....

Dollflower eyes are urethane eyes that somewhat track (looks like it follows you even when viewed at different angles) My daughters call them creepy eyes when they feel guilty of having done something wrong. They are hard to come by as it's a small shop in Korea and they don't have international ordering open. So eyes are ordered via group order when they offer ordering periods. The orders usually take more than 6 months. My cheaper and faster to get alternative to dollflowers are ginarolo neo glass eyes. Though I find neo glass eyes picture better outdoors They somewhat track but not as well as dollflowers.

Goodbyekitty173. Imogen looks cute without the commas. Lillie does look like a more mature sculpt but still retains a bit of childishness about it.

OctoberAnna. That explains why your dolls look so striking in the photo. I love Dollflower for indoor shots. I was lucky enough to get Miyako(Mamu), Hazen(WhiteRabbit), and Alyssa(Konomi) a pair for their current defaults.

clochette. I agree Dollflowers look great in photos and in person. Seeing them in person are a treat as I can't capture the shimmery particles in the iris in photos.

Bagoas belongs to Dodona he's a Eunuch and loves to lounge. He's such a cutey in Harem pants. He has white wings.

Both of them are just too cute! And I find Bagoas so funny and cute at the same time XD hehehe. I really like the position he's in LOL very relaxed indeed! XD Thanks for showing me such a cute picture!

Oh, and also Rosemonde says hi. Rosebud looks confused with (yet another) younger sibling.

nurie: I think I would like to "add a few hairs" to the eyebrows, as well.

Because of the very almond shape of Lillie's eyes I wanted to use as small an eye as was possible without seeing "holes" near the edges of the socket. Ahhhh AreeElf - Now I understand why I keep hearing about Dolpa events in NYC but never could find the store there... This "Sato" "Sumiko" "Dolpa" Volks lingo is all so new to me. I live much nearer NYC and get there far more often than I get out to the West Coast, and its been several years and pre BJD that I was in Japan, so I have no idea when I might get out to either of those places, but Thank You so Much for explaining. I absolutely adore your Miyako and Hazen. I really am utterly entranced by my little Fiver, and have been scouring everywhere looking to see if I might find that "Don't Be Late" set - did it come with the option hands or just the outfit? I was really only looking for the outfit, but like ezechiel and Hane I am sooo wanting some of the option hands. Still haven't heard anything from Volks USA...am trying to work up my nerve to write them and ask if I should wait for order buttons or will they notify us when they might come available. Its hard coz now I want two sets of Everything!

I did keyword Megu on Volks USA and apparently the Megu Towel is enroute along with that adorable Volks Hikoboshi outfit for Fiver - should go nicely with Yo Megu's default kimono

It's really hard to find, I've just one YSD-H02 set, one fist hand, one V and a pair of joined hands but I really need more of YSD-H02 because I don't really like yosd default hands :/ I hope you will have good news from Volks USA, it will be great if they can sell hands !!

GoodbyeKitty I so LoVe how you think! I really like the idea of enjoying their pristine newness and then as they get loved on and live a bit, then to remake them into ones truly Own doll. I had to giggle over your idea about the newspaper cap because I sooo intended to make one out of actual newspaper for TiGGy to sail off in with Fiver looking on - I got too excited to wait to do that photoshoot but it's such a cool idea I definitely will.

YoSD hands are sato only. Otherwise you can try to get them through normal second hand way of buying things such as marketplace, Y!J, or eBay. If you need help with those methods there's a sub-forum for that.

I somewhat lucked out in loosing YoSD Megu lottery. Because I lost the lottery I can finally have a Neon. I had to pass up on Kanon/Neon when it was originally released but I could never find the right one. The right one came along after I lost. I had a floating head Kasumi since last year, that I wanted to make a green headed boy. I got a tenshi body for him a few months back. I may end up with tenshified Neon and Kasumi boy if resin matches work out. Dolly serendipity works in mysterious ways.

I tried something about those hands of Yo.
I changed my Momi her horrible shovel-like hands on Pudi's extra hands from Pipos
I got them last year (16th of April) with Pudi (Dreaming MAri PO11 from Pipos)
and they were laying in box for whole the time.
Pipos resin is a little bit in yellow color, so "pinkish" volks one is not a perfect match,
but still looks great!!! I will say like 90% match Little blush will do the thing
And the size is perfect too, so it was a good choice

hane, lol shovel-like is a great description for the default yo hands, and I've always felt they're too big. The Pipos hands look lovely and delicate on Momi.

hane interesting the Pipos hands give Momiji similar look to sei-tenshi with those hands. One of the reasons I have a weakness for Seis are their under sized hands. I like yosd option hands 3-8 they are more delicate looking than the default. Option 2 gives even more oversized than the default. It's good for doing Kewpie pose or playing paper on rock, paper, scissors.

Also I like Momiji's new faceup. Great job it looks more harmonious. Seeing before and after shows how the old faceup makes her look like child playing dress up with mom's bright lipgloss. Love the subtle shading you did with her lips she looks even cuter.

I love option hands for the Yos, but I never seem to use them when I get them. Sorry for being so out of the loop, but do I remember reading about option hands for Yo megu? I won through the international lottery, so I was not sure if they would be available or not (or if I am just imaging it??).

I don't like the default hands but not for the size but for the shape >.< I love the optional hands but, yup, they are only available to Sato. This is one of the reasons why I do feel a bit ignored as an european owner by Volks (believe me, I love my YOSD, and I think Volks is a great company, especially when it comes to quality). I was supposed to get some SQLab hands this february but I ended up spending the money in outfits and other dolls... Oh well, maybe this september!

Areelf, no wonder your kids always looks amazing in photos, I've only heard good things on dollflower eyes! (BTW so it was an Iv outfit after all :P I've got a good eye because I am collecting the MD outfits, and Iv/Eliv is the only one I am missing!)
