Thread: Iplehouse B.I.D.s tiny discussion part 4

  1. #41
Awwww..... shaynicolesmom, your little ones are so sweet in their Easter finery ! I don't feel quite as bad about neglecting my Fees since you've confessed your similar 'transgression'. The realism of the BID sculpts just wins me over, though I'll always have a place in my heart for a couple of Fee sculpts, too.

I should have things in my newly remodeled sewing/dolly studio wrapped up within the next few days ! Hooray ! I have developed an even keener fondness for these wonderful BIDs since my "leave of absence" for almost 6 weeks now. In this case, absence really does make the heart grow fonder.

Thank you, Denise and Valentinegirl, for your interest in my new studio! It will not be fancy at all; just much better organized, and thus more inspiring for creativity purposes. I'll share photos of it (via a Flickr link) when it's finally complete.

I know we've had some discussion about this, but I sure wish we could find a saddle type stand for our BIDs. Brook thought she had found some at Dollspart, but the lady she talked to there gave her the wrong measurement information. Meanwhile, I just got some old fashioned Kaiser stands from DDE, and will make do with them. Thank you again, Brook, for your fine investigative skills !

I am using the Dan Beren Froggy Duds stands; they are saddle stands but I know you were looking for something in a bulk pricing considering the size of the Kindergarten. I have them for my one SD doll, my MSDs and now the BIDs... When Aki gets back from the spa..I will need to get some more!!

And thank you everyone for the comments on my girls and their wardrobe. I am really trying to raise the bar on my dolling...as I see such wonderful things and it really inspires you to reach beyond. Zuli's dress was inspired by the some felting work I saw from a very talented lady in Australia but her pieces are much more ethereal. I married that with some more traditional Boneka and that is what emerged. Sadly I like it so much...Zuli has not had a change of clothes all winter...luckily she lives in Florida. Maybe I will make her a sweater for this year...so she can weather the winter....

I don't know how you've been able to hold out so long. There are some gorgeous Elins here!!! Mine is white skin and has the boy default faceup.

DancingBee Your Elin is so pretty. I like her face up. I will have to remember to look at the boy face paint. She looks like and antique doll.

    Auntbear - Thank you

I was afraid the rain would get here before I was able to take the photos, plus the spring flowers are nearly spent with the above avg. temps. Their poor petals laying on the ground under the children's feet.

    It was fun taking them.

I hope it works out for you to get your outdoor photos soon.

Another photo (from the photo story) from the garden adventure...
