well, the doll arrived today from Anneke, who shipped it promptly and was really easy to communicate with! now that I've seen the original packaging, it's pretty obvious why it got shipped to Anneke and not to me. The shipping label has Anneke's address on it, and there's a little sticker near the top of my package that has my address on it. I have no idea what the excuse is for this :/
as for the body, I really love MNF so I'm thrilled to have it, but it's really not as advertised. There's a chip in the upper leg that wasn't advertised, and the blushing is very damaged in a lot of spots. there are tiny scratches all over the doll, and it is COVERED in black dirt and smudges to the point that it is sticky to the touch. I'm going to buy a magic eraser today to see what can be done, but the condition of the body... well, it's not "perfect" as described by the seller. I'm not sure what to do at this point, since this transaction has been so unpleasant up until now and I kind of just want it to be over.

The label with my address on it was the customs form, and the label with your address on it was the actual address label. I think it just happened to be that the customs form was HUGE so it took priority in terms of the post office's handling of it. Either way, I'm glad it at least arrived by now to the rightful owner!
My own update: I have still not received my reimbursement from Saira for the postage. The last PM I have from her was on 25March12.
I don't understand how the body could have smudges on it? :s I always took care of it.. also for the sipping label, I checked and the PO checked prior to sending it out.. so thats my reason :/

It's unfortunate that the doll came to her damaged, but I took very clear photos of the doll prior to selling her. I'd personally like for her to take some photos of this damage. As far as I know Anneke received her package in the condition that was described and many people know me on the forum and you can clearly see in all of my photos of the doll body that it was NEVER in that sort of condition and I would never treat my dolls that way. I sent out Anneke's and hers at the same time and I don't see how one item was clean and in the condition as described and one was not.. I know what I sent out and I sent out what was shown in the photos.
As for the shipping I posted earlier was Anneke said, she told me that both of the addresses were on it, the PO puts the stickers on the packages so clearly that was a problem with the PO..
All I am saying is that Anneke's got there fine and in good condition, I really don't believe that I'd take care of one doll item I own so well, than the other so poorly..
I feel bad that it is in the apparent condition it's in, but I saw it before I sent it and the only way it could ever be in that bad of condition, would be if I treated my stuff like garbage, which I don't.

Also to add, I looked back at the thread and as for the blushing I said this in the thread when selling it "he body does have blushing and her nails are painted but I can take it all off if you would like me to (Since people have asked I blushed her myself :P)
I never claimed to be a professional at blushing, I even said I could take it all of prior to sending it out because I did do it myself.
As for everything else, like I said I'd really like to see some photos of the damage

Here are a couple of pictures:
I only have an iphone, but you can see the dirt and scratches okay in these pictures. Her back is covered in sticky dark... stuff, and she has little scratches all over. After spending more time looking her over, the body will have to be unstrung and each piece scrubbed down. I was really surprised to have her arrive in this condition, since your dolls always look so lovely in pictures. Maybe it's because you shipped her curled in a ball wrapped in dish towels? A negative reaction with the MSC to the fibers, or the position got her all scratched up like this?
Those are chips in the blushing ,most likely from being shipped or when clothes was put on her (since all of those areas are at the joints and blush there can wear easily. I can tell it's chipped blushing not scratches in the body itself. I said I did the blushing myself and I didn't package her curled up in a ball, customs could have opened it up for all I know. I can't really say what happens after it leaves my home, they already messed up the addresses (was not me,clearly since there was proof it was them)
Looking at the photos it looks like the blushing was worn in some areas, which happens and like I said before it was purchased,I blushed the body myself, I offered to take it off considering it was my first time blushing.

when clothes were put on her* That's why I offered taking the blushing off, since it was my first time blushing her. From what I can see those are all marks from blushing fading. I guarantee if it's wiped of with brush cleaner or any other safe method 100 percent of those spots would be gone. I didn't see those when I sent her out, but all of it is for sure blushing.

I see, so the chips in her legs are just blushing scratches, and you aren't accountable for how it was shipped, because customs might have opened it. It WAS your fault that it got shipped to the wrong place, because for some reason you wrote Anneke's address on the gigantic customs form on MY package. In all honesty this transaction has been awful and exhausting and I would just like to be done with it. If you refund Anneke her money for shipping, I will consider this miserable business finished.
Also, customs didn't wrap her up in dish towels and shove her into a box half her size. You chose to ship her curled into a ball in a small box, wrapped in materials that could scratch her, in a position that got her leg joints all banged up. I am so TIRED of the bad excuses.
It is a FACT that they wrote the customs form,not me. Why would I write two different adresses when I just wanted it to be sent to you already. If you don't want the body,don't keep it. I don't really know what you want from me. I totally understand why you'd be upset over it not being shipped on time, especially when after the fact it got sent to Anneke, but it being sent to her wasn't even my fault.

And yes, those marks around her joints are blushing being worn off because I put sealant all over her body when I had blushed it and because it wasn't msc it needed many multiple coats. I know the sealant was starting to fade in some areas as it does near joints. If you want some sort of compensation, just say so.. I could see why you would be impatient over the shipping time and I never disputed that as it was perfectly understandable. The money should be in the balance by tomorrow, if not I'll buy a prepaid credit card because I agree that I want this done and over with.

You didn't fill out any of the labels on this packaging? Because the customs form and the shipping address are all done by the same handwriting. I don't know how things work in Canada, but in the states, the sender fills out all the forms on their own so I'm not quite buying your story. Well, maybe your post office messed up filling out the forms for you, or even you made an honest mistake. I'm sorry if I'm being unreasonable but I'm very, VERY annoyed with your behavior as a seller. I've never had any trouble with sellers in any of my collections until now.
- You went on vacation, I can understand not communicating for a week or so.
- Your sister lied to you about shipping, that's not your fault.
- You then got sick for several weeks and stopped communicating altogether, well, nobody can control their health so that's understandable.
- I posted this paging thread and a few hours later, you return to the forum. I can understand that it was just a coincidence.
What I don't understand is that after coming back to the internet, and seeing how distressed Anneke and I were about our packages and the lack of communication for weeks on end, you decided the best course of action was to continue with the shoddy communication, to promise dates of shipping and then to ignore those dates, and to package my body so badly that it apparently got damaged during the shipping process, and not when it was in your possession. The marks on her joints aren't blushing being worn off, which I know because I had to strip the body down today and clean every piece, and the scratches are still there on her back and legs. And you know, even if it wasn't scratched straight through the MSC, you told me you were selling me a doll in "perfect condition" and boy oh boy that is not what I received.
Honestly, this whole ordeal has been miserable and dealing with this further isn't worth the frustration. I do want a partial refund but the headache of getting it, based on how this has gone so far, is definitely not worth it. I hope that this... process, encourages you to be a better seller in the future. Once Anneke's been paid back and confirms it, I will consider this resolved.
Please insure that there is a link to this thread in the seller's feedback thread.
