x3Ashley, thank you so much for your sweet comment. I really like the wig on her, it is a Monique and their colors are just absolutely beautiful, the only downfall is that I find it hard to manage. The eyes on the other hand are mine, I feel that the 14mm eyes that ddoll has provided for her is too big on her small eyes. It is 10mm btw. 14mm should be fine with Lia I think. Ooh I love Unoa and Mnf's...Lia would definitely be a great addition to your doll family. I would love to see them together.

Chococandy, yes Lia is adorable...I love her eye make up too. I think she will be a great big sissy to Airi.

Mirrin, yes I love Jpop monique, there are actually a handful that I am considering getting for her but this one I won on ebay for 6 bucks...no one can beat that right?

Hi Seiorai, yes the other girl is a Lati LE vampire...she's growing on me but it was hard at first because I got so used to the lovely and simple Airi. Btw, Hyuna is wearing a Dollheart dress, a Tonner sweater and I just used a ribbon for her belt to give her a finish look. I'm happy you like it.

EmbracedLight, omg I want Soulkid Arina...she was in my wishlist but my hubby doesn't approve her much so now I'm leaning more towards Asen! I love Lia's bright personality, I think you will be happy with her. I like her a lot too but I already have Airi and I just want to have one with the teeth showing. I totally dig your sister story, I agree completely..that's what I feel about the two as well.

I'm not sure if you guys watch Tsubasa Chronicle (or anime in general ) But Lia's face reminds me of that common anime smile that girls do when they say "I'm so glad!" with their eyes half open, smiling. Blushing is optional.

Today is my only day off this week, so it was my only opportunity for dollie pictures in the daylight. I'm going to invest in some lighting some day soon. In fact, I was going to check out the local camera shop today.

I put comparisons, as well did a few others of the folks that own DDolls only a few pages back, if you want to see it. As I said there, Withdoll's the best match out of all of mine. It's a bit too pink, but there's a similar quality. I think you could intentionally yellow the pink tone out of it pretty easily to make it a better match.

Oh man, I love all this talk about Lia. I like that everyone sees her as someone that could go many ways for personality. I've decided to get her instead of Souldoll Arina. (Well, for right now that is) I feel Lia's personality a little more. She really is

I'm going to do sisters with Lia and Airi. I think Airi is the shy quiet one that keeps secrets and has a nurturing soul. I think Lia is the outgoing spunky one that says exactly what's on her mind but has a soft heart. I think I'm going to structure them that way. Airi sticking with soft colors and girly fabrics. Lia with deep colors and stronger designs.

I think I have a vague idea of what you mean, though not much into anime haha...It's somewhat similar I guess but I think Lia's has more life to it than Sakura's hehe

Until you can invest in lighting, maybe Photoshop can help out? Not sure but I think you haven't used it on Viv's pics so far?

Hmm..have you tried the Image-->Adjustments-->Shadow/Highlight command? It works wonders for dark images and you can use a layer mask to delete the over-exposed part from the adjusted photo layer (not sure if you know xD) Also a Curves filter or using the gradient tool with Radial/Foreground-to-Transparent settings on a layer over the photo (which you can set on Screen or Linear Dodge) would also help adjust original photo light

Edit 2: Also, have you tried Actions?

Yes, I've used actions for pictures I've posted here, more than just a few.. and generally speaking, I do use the aforementioned controls.. Truthfully, that particular one may not have been my best picture, but I have a fairly decent grasp of photoshop and do use it on all of my pictures.

I have 3 things to share today, hope you guys would find it helpful.

I was taking photos of Hyuna today and I noticed her eyes were teary, literally! I looked closer and saw water in the corner of her eyes. I immediately has taken off her putty (I used the one that came with her, from ddoll) and this is what I found:

It's melting! Not sure if this is a reaction to the plastic as it only appears around the eye. I used several putty in the past on my Pullips but I never had a reaction. Is this normal and anyone had the similar situation? Btw, sorry for the dog hair eek.

I also wanted to share my find for the heel pair of feet.

They are a pair of Tonner 22" American Model Doll. Aside from the pointed style, I think it fits her well and...

...she can stand on it!

So if you'd like to make use of these heels, this kind is something to consider. There's a lot of them in ebay. I'd like to add that the dress was made by me. I am happy how it turned out as I didn't use any pattern for it.

Anyways, my doll still hasn‘t been shipped. There has been a delay cause of the Chinese New Year. The anticipation is really killing me. I‘ve been wanting to meet my Airi since I purchased her. Oh well, guess that I‘ll just have to wait.

deliziahck8, I've heard of the eye melting happening many times before with acrylic eyes and eye putty. I've never come across it myself because I use silicone ear plug putty and glass eyes. I don't know what to tell you other than.. yes, it happens and you're not alone. You might want to try silicone ear plugs in the future, unless you're using silicone eyes because they don't mix well, because it's harmless to acrylic and glass eyes.

A lot of companies eye putty have had the issue with acrylic eyes. I mean, it's not an issue if you use the glass eyes and eye putty, but if you use something other than the default glass ones or other glass ones, you'll have the problem. I'd recommend no one ever use anything other than silicone ear plugs if you're going to use acrylic eyes. It's the safest thing for your doll and your doll's eyes.

And yah. Totally love DDoll for staying on top of things. Since you guys don't sell acrylic eyes, I can understand why it would never come up as an issue... until now when people use other types of eyes.. It's just one of those things that happen, I guess.

Mirrin - Yeah, the earplug putty is ok with glass. Just not with Eyeco Soft glass/silicone eyes. There's a whole thread about the problems that causes.
