Loongsoul Doll 1/4 doll discussion

MrsD, Thank you so much! ^^ Hmm... I think that it was 2010 yer pre-order from Dollheart when they had Alice in the Wonderland theme? I'm not sure, I got my first BJD last year (About this time : D Whoa, I've been doll owner for a whole year!) : D

I had my Momo in Small bust (the kid bust, it was only one which looked "natural" to me which was very important for the character) it was her default bust too.

Her name is Yae, Yae Hayamizu and I've had her character ready, since my GF has her Daddy : D
(MoC also has Momo in stock : D just noticed~ But yay, more Loongsoul girls here - PLEASE! I love their adults posing abilities~)

If it makes you feel better, the camera makes all the work : D I'm not technically any photographer, but I have a VERY good camera (well, my girlfriend has : D I have a shitty camera myself xD) 'tho thanks to this good camera I've gotten better at photographing : ) So I take decent pics in my camera too! \o

Yeah, New resin does smell - always but this smell is just horrid :'D I've never had a doll that smells this much, normally they hardly smell at all - Water does not damage your doll : ) But if the elastic strings get wet, they'll loosen up and might get so weak that they snap ... and ofcourse, your dolls make up will not like water too much either.

What I'm trying to say is, that you can take cotton pads, pour some water on them (that they're moist, not dripping water) and wipe your doll's body without any problems at all - just don't drop her in to the pool of water (like bathtub or swimming pool) 'coz then her elastic strings would get wet. : )

My Yae had some resindust on her when she came and I wiped it off instantly with cotton pads : ) (Water temperature was mild, not too hot, not too cold - that it is nice for me to work with (so my fingers would burn or freeze) allthought I don't think that the temperature really matters :'D) I suggest you do the same. Sorry if my explanation was hard x'D ahaha, I forgot so many words I was about to use that I don't know if you can understand any of this...

And I've never used eyelashes on my dolls :'D 'coz they're so hard to use x'D I cant wait to see daylight pictures of Veronica : 3 (love the pic here, her shoes are so CUTE! <3)

MrsDiablo I agree with you I saw a pair of really cool eyelashes on Volks. I may buy a pair when I order my dollfie dream head. If I don't decided to order a Iplehouse Jerome 1st. I so love that sculpt He is my dream doll

I'm planning to get some outdoor pictures as soon as the weather gets better. I live in the desert so in winter is very dusty and lots of wind.

OMG! Your girl looks so DARK skinned compared to mine who is pale as paper O_O I wonder if I've gotten wrong skin tone... If I remember correctly, your Veronica was Normal Pink Skin, right? Does she always seem fairly pale to you or does she seem sometimes as dark in that pic? (p.s. Those are some nice lashes! : O You attached them so well, I'm so jealous! <3)

You live in desert? THAT must be the COOLEST place EVER to live (well, okay, maybe rainforest would be even more cool...)! I live in the city and in the north so we have this HORRIBLE amount of snow here : D ... Tho I guess it's kinda same, whether it's sand or snow, but I've never seen desert so it seems so very exotic... (in sand I think you have to be very careful, that you don't get sand in her joints so the sand wouldn't scratch her - in the snow we have to be super careful when we take the doll back inside - for temperature shock is huge when there is outside temperature of -30 and inside is +20... You'll have to get your doll inside in scarfs and let her heat up without touching her so she wouldn't crack)

Ah, I just got this image in my head! Where Veronica would lay down in "Ali Baba/Aladdin" (sorry, don't know any better word for it : D) styled tent, full of colorful pillows, foods and gold - she'd wear something that a belly dancer would use and she sits/lays down in the middle of the tent, just chilling - almost like a queen or something (and you'd see the desert behind her - from the open "wall" of the tent)

About elastic strings, (just reminded me) which do people prefer here - little bit tighter or looser? : D I personally love more loosened up dolls, since they seem a lot more lively, even if they wouldn't pose as nice as if they were tighter.
("Okay, now nice dollie, stand up so you don't fall down to the fountain--- WAIT DON'T YOU DARE TO FALL!!! ... Okay you fell... now I have to re-string you and HOPE your strings didn't get wet before I managed to pull you out! 'coz I don't have spares! >: C")

And same thing about sueding? I think I'm gonna suede Yae's ankles, at least - she would prefer to walk tiptoe. 'tho I think I prefer sueding only 'coz I want my dolls to be loose... they have to be able to stand anyway, right? : D
("Yae, you're not THAT good poser yet that you could be like a ballerina! Stop it or you're gonna break your nose!" haha, yeah, I talk to my dolls when I'm bored x'D)



Oh yeah, here is a pic I took when I noticed that I really believe that I might have a white skin doll : / next to her is her twin, Chisato (FL - Miyu S - NS) I really thought that their normal skin would have been darker - 'tho I love Yae anyway x)

I have a FL El ws and Rena in ns and I notice the ns in FL is a little darker than my other normal skin dolls. Fl ns is more pink to me. If I get the chance, I'll try to post a pic of them together with my ws YingYing to compare, later today.

......I prefer to have my dolls tightly strung.

Yes, she is Normal Pink Skin and her skin looks darker in the pictures. In person her body seems the same color as your girl Yae. Also the face-up make her face look darker because she have a very dark pink blushing on her cheeks and ears. I took a picture of her in daylight but my room still to dark. I will try to take one outside next week or during the weekend so you see how she really look.



I don't live in that kind of desert I will be so lucky if the desert I live was similar to that. I live in New Mexico USA. The desert where I live is very similar to this http://images.fineartamerica.com/ima...pherson-jr.jpg as you can see not cool at all

Would Loongsoul White match Dollmore White? I'm desperate to get my girl a new, curiver body to fit her new character better. Since I don't have a Dollmore doll, I really can't compare, but I had mentioned before that I thought it match FL beauty white, It doesn't I went outside and they don't. FL has more yellow in their white. I know it's not as paperwhite as RS. I have a dollzone flower fairy, which DDE said is ws but I don't think so, it looks like ns. LoongSoul's white is creamy not paperwhite, like a sheet of paper. The other white skin dolls I have are paperwhite. I have to tell you though, I really really love Loongsoul's body.

I thought so, that the make up makes her face look darker - but she really looked like "human" normal skin in your pic last time I mentioned it, right? : D That's why I was so confused. I just didn't know that it made THAT much of a difference : D
And I can't wait to see outdoor pics of her : 3

Gothic-Diurnal-Hime, I asked my partner (who has a whole lot more experience in dollcompanies etc.) and she thinks that loongsoul's body would probably be very good for your Dollmore girl's head (in neck fitting, etc) and comparing to this NS Pink I have, I think that color match would also be good : ) 'tho we don't have Loongsoul white so I can't make any comments that would be certain.

So I want to get a loongsoul body for my AE Yara Jr. Head. I wanted to go for the medium bust. Does the medium bust have the same poke your eye out nipples as the large bust? Also since the AE neck is 6.9 cm and the loongsoul neck is 7 cm how much sanding will I need to do to get the head to fit?

MrsD, Thanks for the pic! Now I know that I can buy Loongsoul body to my WS Minifée head : D... If I ever buy one... (by the way, just tried MNF head for my Loongsoul body - not too bad - it fit's pretty well, but it really needs the "neck piece")

cosmosprincess, I'm not sure, if I found the right head (since you didn't give any links), but what comes to sanding - I don't think that you need to sand too much - barely at all, since the difference is so small (if you need, you need like 0,1cm sanding, which basically means, that you wipe your dolls neck once or twice and that's probably it...)
If you don't sand her neck, she's probably just "tighter" to move her neck (which is not always a bad thing - I take it as a positive thing in fact...)

I don't think that we have any medium bust's here in this thread yet, so I can not go on and be sure but I think that it's not as "poke your eyes" as Large Bust...
Wait, I just figured out - Wasn't the pics on the Loongsoul's own page (http://www.loongsouldoll.com/Product_Show.asp?id=261) in medium bust?

(In this pic they don't seem so "poky" as the Large Bust...)

elika77, that's a VERY hard question about the breasts! Probably easiest clothes are elastic and loose clothes - she's about the same size as minifee (exept for the breasts), so they can wear pretty much the same clothes : )
and YES, it is large, MrFjmg2003, here has Large Bust Momo, and it's seems so huge compared to my Momo's Small Bust (small bust fits to Unoa/MNF sized clothes, as far as I've tried them out...) :'D

A_R_G_H_! My Yae is still with no face-up! I tried to make her face-up yesterday - BOOM! Explosion on her face (not literally -but you know - face up went horribly wrong - no documentation on that matter) and I just cleaned her up and coated her with Army Painter's Anti-Shine Matt Varnish... soon I can start my holy mission again... and cry my eyes out :'D

Gosh, she's so pink that my "comfort zone" colors just don MATCH her at all O_O I really need to do so much more pink colors... :'D (I've never had so pink, rosy and princess -like dolls in my LIFE not even as a KID!) and other thing - first BLACK eyebrows I've EVER done! : D Haha, she looked like Rock Lee when I tried to do her face yesterday x'D Maybe I don't giggle so much today when I try to make her face again...

I haven't bought any clothes made for BJDs yet for Veronica. The dress I bought her was from a store on ebay and was made for a Robert Tonner doll DeeAnna Denton. The dress fit her bust because it is made of a stretchy material. I'm planing to buy her some clothes from Iplehouse JID may be like in 3 months from now because I'm currently saving to buy a Dollfie Dream. But I been looking and Iplehouse large bust option is almost the same size as loongsoul L bust option. But iplehouse have bigger waist size and hips. But as soon as I can I will risk it.
