I have a random question for you all~

If one were to get a France Real Skin Narae and sand it, would the change in resin color be quite drastic in that area to the point it shouldn't be attempted? Thanks~

I started a thread for that awhile back, because I was thinking of getting a french resin doll to modify. I've also seen ftm mods done in french resin, and they had varying results (depending on the age and original yellowing of the doll), so that's why I was curious in the first place.

Thanks~ That helps a good lot. I think my worry is moreso about the color of French Real Skin. I only have a Korean Normal Narae, so to me it looks a tad tan, but at the same time, I'm not sure if it really falls into that category.

French resin tan dolls are tanned through and through, from what I've learned, though since I've never own one myself (I ended up getting my boy in urethane), I wouldn't be one hundred percent sure. The problem with colour changes really depends on yellowing. If you're planning an FTM mod, for example, you might need to do a full body sanding job to even out the colour.

Hey Tsuuba! I saw your PM and figured this may be interesting to other people too, so I'll post it here. Here is a photo of the inside of the faceplate that looks like it has been sanded in some areas as part of the finishing part of making the doll:



As far as Real Skin Korea resin goes, it definitely looks like the sanded areas are noticeably lighter than the unsanded areas. While some of the lightness does seem to be a rough sanding job, the smooth areas that look sanded still are lighter.

I love seeing everyone's Narae's and Narin's so much! I just caved and bought my second Narae, from a lovely DoA member so she should be here pretty soon. So now I find myself looking at all the pretty pictures here and at the other Narae threads to help pass the time until she arrives.
