derilan85: I'm sorry to hear about your head. I had heads five heads come from both Dollfair & Bimong in the wrong color and had to sell them all. I think it's just the nature of it. If you don't buy everything at once, there is no guarantee it will match :/

Giggy, here's the N402 fp painted... I do think yours IS sightly lopsided.. But maybe a faceup can hide it or you can ask D-storic for an exchange...

Giggy, It seems like the issue is that the lip comes up a little too high on one side, right? That's easily fixed with a folded piece of fine-grit sandpaper passed into her lip opening -- be careful and check your work often, but you can get both sides of the lip to be even with very little work (or send her to a customizer who does modifications, if you're worried about doing it yourself.)

I think it's less of a casting flaw than a cleanup flaw -- every doll with open eyes or parted lips has a little thin skin of resin sanded out of the openings, because that's the way they come out of the mold. And then the dollmaker cleans out that little shell (except Unoas, which Alchemic Labo considers more of a "kit," so they're sent out with that skin of resin still there, and in pieces to be assembled.)

I know it's frustrating for your dream doll not to be perfect on arrival, but I do think that with a few minutes' work, you can get her mouth opening to be symmetrical

Ashbet, I came to the solution that it looks like a casting flaw when you look at the head from different angles, because it's slightly missing resin in some places. I do customizations myself, but I'd rather own a sculpt from d-storic that wasn't flawed from the start, that is what I expect to get when I order something of this value. But I guess it's too late to complain anyway (I already emailed them about missing body and they sent it to me right away :'D) and I've already gotten used to the situation so don't any of you worry about this. I'll get my girl fixed up soon and do her faceup so she's ready to take pictures of!

I'm a little bit of a mad hybrider and was wondering after seeing a few of the Narae DollChateau hybrids if anyone knew what the match was like between the KR Ivory and DC's NY or White? Also if anyone has pictures of the 43cm body D-storic is offering next to the DC kid (perferably the girl)?

I'm thinking of taking the limbs off the Doll Chateau and putting them on the other body if the ratio is right. The match isn't as important as the sizing ratio. ^.^

Yay, now my girl's finished. Alluka's finally ready after having her lip modded to symmetrical and having her faceup done. I put on some glitter but I don't think it's very visible in the photo. :'D My fiance said I should put some freckles on her cheeks, I think she looks lovely with them.

Post a question on their Q&A board. I'm having the same problem -- I've tried to place an order twice, and there's something wrong with their checkout system.

Good luck, and if you hear anything back, please post it here?

(I think it's just a website bug in referring/connecting the checkout to PayPal, but it needs to be addressed or else nobody can buy from them!)

Edit: 4237, this isn't just an issue of not getting a confirmation e-mail -- when my order went through checkout, this is the "confirmation" page that I got:



When I looked, the items I'd been trying to buy were still in my shopping cart. I waited a week or so and then tried again, and I'm still getting the same message. I posted on their Q&A board again today, to let them know that there is a problem.

i had the same problem when i placed my order. your order number should be in the order status link. i also had the items i was buying still in my shopping cart, but the order number was in mypage and order status.

i went and paid on paypal with the paypal address they have on the d-storic site and put my order number in the message subject and in the message body with my payment, then went on the q&a saying i paid and gave my paypal address. they confirmed it that way, sending me a confirmation after replying to my post on the q&a.

i was curious, does anyone here have a narae on the large bust body? i am very curious to see it, and far too impatient to wait for my own. |D
