I ordered a YUMI head and received DAMI head instead!!!!!
Has anyone heard of them changing the resin color? (it's not matching old ver. YUMI body)
Also, has anyone had done an exchange with them?

Meike! You have such bad luck with faceplates! I really hope your Dami's face turns up very soon.....but I do think you need to console yourself with a Soah, it only makes sense! And once Dami turns up.....she'll need a sister to share her 'experience' with!

I know! I hope so too. In the meantime, Soah is looking more tempting every time I look at her... BUT I've got two girls coming in already. Can I justify buying another one? Granted, one of the two is "just" a faceplate that I'll be pairing up with a spare body, but still...

Yup, she was in the same package as my LTF Ante faceplates. Ugh. Gosh I do need a Soah don't I.

I haven't been on this thread before, as my Elfdolls are the big ones - Sooah and Hazy. But --- I did order Lovely Soah in the first ordering period - I can hardly wait! I have long thought that the minis were so cute and haven't been able to decide which one I wanted, but when they came out with Soah I had to have her, because she's been gone so long in the SD size and I always wanted her.

I wonder what size wig to use for her - do your dolls take 6/7?

BTW, I'm drooling over all your beautiful dolls!!! They are so gorgeous! I think Soah will have to get a new friend eventually - LOL.

I have at the moment a 7-8 wig how is still a bit big even with a head cap, and just bought a new wig from ebay how is 6-7 size. It fits my girl perfect without a wigcap.
I planning for the next wig that i will buy also be a 6-7, and if it doesn't fit my Yumi i can always use it for my unoa girl

LOL yes you read right Elnuyn85! I have two new Chihuahua puppies joined our family...we now have 5 dogs...and they are keeping me very busy! (You can see photos in my Flickr).

I use a 6/7 wig on my Dami and it fits really well. I think the 7/8 are generally too big.

And congratulations on your order! I'm so curious to see a Soah from some owner's pics. Did you get her with default face up or blank?
About wigs, I can tell myself that my Em can wear both 6/7 and 7/8 wigs x-x
so i'm not too much of help, lol XD
(p.s. the wigs I tried on her are both crobidoll. but maybe the size I think is 6/7 is 7/8 too.. ? Dunno but they both fits her greatly :S)

I have received my Yumi head yesterday. She'll have to wait a long time for her body.

This morning I also received a few wigs from coolcat, the 6-7 fits nicely even if I would have to shorten the bang, the 7-8 fits too with a silicon cap.

She is really lovely... even eyeless and hairless...

Thanks for the welcome, everyone, and thanks for the info on the wigs, too! I have wigs in both sizes for other dolls, so she'll at least have something to start with while she's figuring out what she likes.

Elnuyn85, I ordered the default faceup for her. I'm in the process of boxing everything in my house so that I can sell it and move. I expect that I won't be able to do anything "crafty" until later this summer, and I wanted to be able to enjoy her in the meantime. I do like to do my own faceups generally, but haven't attempted one on either of my other Elfdolls, for some reason. --- Poor Em, hopefully she can get her own mature body soon?

I got lucky one day and found a beautiful faceplate then a body with a backplate the same day... unfortunately, body parts were chewed by a puppy at her prior home. I love her anyway...

I practice my face up skills this weekend on my open eyes face plate. The tutorial i used sad to gloss the eyebrows, i did but i don't like the result. Maybe will put in some fake eyelash for her, but for now i think its okay. I don't like it yet and its not at all what i had in mind for her, but i think its a okey for a third face up

Not bad at all for a third faceup Yuuki! I've never glossed the eyebrows myself, I do put a bit on the lids and the lower lashes but generally a semi-matt gloss.

I remember seeing this body for sale in the marketplace Mixi Michi! And you got lucky with the faceplate, she is seriously beautiful! Were the chewed bits very bad? Only I've heard that if you heat the resin with a hairdryer some of the dents come out. Someone here on DOA wrote about it once when their cat got another doll.....another Elfdoll funnily enough, but if I remember rightly it was one of the tiny ones.

Not bad at all for a third faceup Yuuki! I've never glossed the eyebrows myself, I do put a bit on the lids and the lower lashes but generally a semi-matt gloss.

Thank you so much, i did that too! It looks great on here eyelids and on her lashes it looks normal to, but her eyebrows it just looks strange. Maybe i will re-spray her once again with matt spray and gloss her eyes and lips again.

I was just wondering that if I found a Twiggy body.....then ordered a faceplate from Elfdoll now.....if she would look the same (other than face-
up, of course!) as they did when
the Twiggy girls were released, you know what I mean?

I am new to lovelydoll,not an elfdoll expert.But I think I am able to answer your question.Yumi and Dami on lovelydoll and twiggy are all the same mold with different skintone.Yumi is WS,Dami is NS and Twiggy Yumi/Dami is realskin.Therefore I don't think a faceplate ordered from elfdoll will match a twiggy body.

I just got a new fur wig and a new dress so it was time for a little photo shoot






I love this picture i think that her candy floss like hair and blue eyes are a kawaii combination. I think that this wig also fit better with her face up.
