Sorry that I've not been around much to comment on the lovely photos, I've just been very busy!!

I also wanted to let my "Limhwa To You Sara" friends know that Gem and I are still around and that she is NOT going anywhere.

One of my friends here on DOA and on Flickr (you know who you are, thank you sweetie!), was kind enough to warn me that someone on Facebook is showing photos of Gem and saying that she is his doll, having just "added her" to his dolly family, he even mentions her white wig. Well, it is completely untrue, and I have no intention of selling her now or in the near future. I've sent a message to the person asking him to remove my photos but so far he's not bothered to respond and this morning the photos are still shown on his Facebook wall.

I'm really concerned that this could be the start of a scam, showing the doll as his, then perhaps in a few weeks saying that he's not bonded and she's up for sale. And some poor innocent sending him the money for her adoption. I just hope that I'm wrong about this, but it does worry me when people do this. It also upsets me as I've made Gem 'my own' and no-one likes to see someone else steal their photos and claim them as their own.

Anyway, thanks for listening, Gem will be back soon with some new photos!!! Keep up the lovely spam!

I have tried to do so, Nancy, but not sure they will take any notice as the photo doesn't seem to violate any of their policies, such as to do with privacy or whatever....but I'm really really angry about it as you can imagine.
I did try to comment on the photo but it seems that although the person has the setting set to 'public' I think you have to be a friend of his, and I don't feel in the least bit friendly towards him to do that!!!! I haven't heard back from my message to him either....and the photos remain.

Sharon, at the very least, you could put a public post on your Facebook (if you have one) indicating that the person is using your photos and claiming your doll is his. You don't have to say anything else as that would be speculation. Then continue to monitor his page and if he removes the photos and claims, then you can update your post.

I've seen two pictures of Gem and the words of greeting for new doll of a person on Facebook . So I asked Sharon just to know whether you have sold Gem or not .


After receiving the answer from the Sharon , I think this guy has uses pictures of Gem to illustrate for new Limhwa Sara of him and receive congratulations from his friends for the beauty of Gem and handmade items accompanied her but did not specify the source of the photos . He has inadvertently made people , in cluding me think he is the next owner of Gem .


Sorry if I made you worry so much , Sharon ! Because I was not intimate enough to ask questions directly to him .

However , in some way , the pictures of Gem are just too nice to people always want to use it to illustrate for what they will have . Just respect the copyright to avoid misleading .

( Secret : I have used the picture of Gem as desktop wallpaper for my PC . It helps me relax a lot when working with computers ! )

Thanks Kirahfaye, but what I think I'm going to do is try to ignore it. I only get myself more wound up to be honest! I suppose I should be flattered that someone likes her photo enough to do this!!!!!

LOL, thoaitai, there is no need for you to apologise, you were very kind to bring it to my attention. I agree, the person has inadvertantly made people think that Gem is the actual doll he's getting.....! I was really worried that this would end up being a scam and that people might get the impression that I'm involved in some way....I'm such a worrier like that!!!! I need to be less sensitive and just shrug my shoulders and move on!!

I'm delighted that you love Gem enough to use my photo on your PC desktop, that is really sweet of you! I'm glad that she relaxes you!!! I have to say that she does have a very tranquil look about her, doesn't she!!

I don't think I'll get an answer from him to be honest, but there is not a lot I can do about it, so I will have to live with it and just tell myself that Gem is popular and has a fan club who want to look at her photos!!!

And... today, it's raining day, but i wake up early and... twist braid for my baby, the fur wig is really small and soft. It took me over 2 hours!!! So, i think she looks in my heart!
