Thank you everyone for the wonderful compliments on little willow in her angel outfit. She had a blast at the doll meet today and she came home with a new friend i got for my little girl to love and cherish.

My Momo is finally on the move! I ordered her late on the 24th, so she got to the post office that day but didn't move at all on thanksgiving or the weekend But she's in LA right now and I've got my fingers crossed that she'll take a plane up here-ish. This is my first time getting a NEW doll (although she probably won't come in a box or anything) and I'm so excited! I kind of wanted to get a deer too but I can't just throw ALL My money into getting dolls.

I love the B face-up because it's more natural, but I love the freckles in the A. And the pics from the seller of his deer I bought didn't look as dark as the promo shots, so I think the A face-up will work out nicely for me. I just love the little smattering of freckles across the nose and cheekbones. I might add eyebrows to it, though. We'll see what it looks like once he has a wig. I'm a little hesitant to try to add anything to the company face-up. I'm worried that somehow my sealer will react with theirs and I'll end up having to wipe the whole thing and redo it, and I know I won't be able to get the freckles right and I really like them so I'll probably just leave it alone til I feel like completely redoing it anyway.

I can't wait to see pictures, though. I can't get enough deer boy spam lately.

Is anyone getting a DZ DongDong, I just fell in love with her little innocent face. I'm assuming she'll be about the same size as the Luna/Leo event dolls from a few years back. If it's the same body they had then I know she'll be kicky but that face with those pouty lips is just so cute!

I like the dragonfly girl, Lankui, best out of their limited girls, though. I wouldn't get her, myself (I'd always be afraid of her wings breaking), but she's definitely a cutie and I'm really looking forward to seeing her around. My group feels finished now. I don't think I'll be tempted by any more dolls. But that doesn't mean I don't like to look at them, still.

I like all three, they're really cute. But none of them really tempt me. The little deer still do, but I'd rather spend my money on larger dolls - I have a whole army of tinies already.

I wish I could spam my deer but they are still totally unfinished. Christmas is such a busy time for me. I don't like spending a lot of money on gifts so I make them all... which is a feat considering I do my family and my husband's... can't trust a man to do the xmas thing right. lol jk, but I can't trust mine. lol

Haha bakayaro. I was wondering if/when someone would do something like that. I was considering it, but I couldn't think of a name I really liked. I'm still not 100% sure about his name yet. Nothing's really clicked yet. He's giving me the most trouble of any of my other dolls in naming.

For those with a momo/nono do you find them to be really kicky? It feels like Nina is strung too tight, but than again if she was loosened up she probably wouldnt be able to stand or hold a pose. She's my first dolly so I dont know what the norm is. I'm just finding her posability to be very limited /:

if you have her sueded it will help a lot with that. its pretty normal in a lot of dolls. most of mine did it b4 sueding either in the arms or legs but i found it more common in there arms for me.

I think it's a bit of a tiny thing. Their limbs don't have the weight to put as much resistance on the elastic as the bigger dolls do. I always loosen mine up the natural way, with a lot of play so the elastic itself loosens a little. I've rationalized it as having more good posing time.

leaving it kicky= kicky>a little tight but poses well>perfect>a little loose but poses well>elastic is shot/floppy doll syndrome

restringing= perfect>little loose but still good>floppy doll

But that's just me. I'm a little overprotective of my possessions and don't like the idea of hot glue sueding after spending so much on something. Personally, I'd rather leave it the way it is. The only thing I ever change is the face-up. I know it doesn't ruin the doll and that it's common practice for better posability, but I just can't bring myself to do it, myself.

Could someone please link me to a description of what sueding is? I've seen lots of talk about it but i don't know what it is.
Also I just wanted to share a crappy little photo of Nina in the crappy little dress I made lol. Man it's hard making such tiny clothes!!

I think the dress is cute, craftymommy. It's really hard to make these tiny clothes. When I got Momo and Nono I thought it was going to be easy, because before BJDs I had dolls' house dolls - but those never got dresses that needed to be taken off again...
Sewing this small is a real pain. I love Yarrow and Patch, but I already told myself I was not going to get more in that size.
