I would like to see some more posing pictures, too. It doesn't look like it can possibly do more than stand with that huge tail behind it, but maybe it's more flexible and less heavy than it looks. At least it appears to be one doll that you would never have to worry about falling. But I do like the fact that this one is more human than the baby dragons. They're cute, but how much can you really do with them, pose-wise? They have no legs. That's also why I would never get a mermaid doll. No matter how cute/beautiful, I like having dolls I can pose without the need of a stand holding it up in photos. That's just my personal preference, though. I can see the attraction, they're just not for me.

and if you think about mermaids - how many mermaids can actually stand once on land? 1 - ariel the little mermaid. there's a few mermaid dolls that can at least sit up and swing their tales about. (I should know - i'm trying to make one and he's as posable as i can get)


But man - I'm with the majority vote - MOON is gorgeous XD
maybe i should buy him and make him the baby to my soom epidos merman >_<

I don't dislike Star, it's just that I prefer Moon. I really love the flower decal on their foreheads.

I'm really curious as to what a custom faceup would do for Star. I think with some eyebrows, it (he? she?) could have a lot more expression! Right now, the bare shape of Star's eyes and lips make it look kind of angry. I like the broader smile of Moon.

Their dragon bodies make me think of a T-rex. An adorable chibi t-rex. xD So I guess I know what my harebrained scheme for them is if they move high enough on my sliding scale of "Ohh cool" to "Will complete my life."

MysNiin: Yay another Star fan. He needs more love. Of course I'm the type that will go to the pet store and pick out the animal that no one else wants cuz it's too plain looking or the other animals were picking on it and it's missing a bit of fur/feathers/whatever. I had a rat with one red eye and one black that used to rock in place when it got startled. But I do really like the aesthetic of Star. There's just something about his face that attracts me a little more than Moon.

I ordered my little Star today! I'm very excited to be getting him/her (can't decide worth beans right now). Ah, impulse buys. I'm pretty sure it was the ridiculous dragon legs and tail that did me in.

ookami-chan, I'm the same way with pets. I have the saddest looking little dog missing half an ear and all scraggly. Hubby swears that's why I married him cause he is a misfit. I'm always wanting the outcast and it was so pathetic when I worked at the pet shop because I just kept bringing sad animals home with me.

So are these little guys going to be limited? My oldest son really wants one and if they are going to be limited I will work on making sure I have the money to buy it for him (my other little misfit). If not I will let him work on saving the money himself.

I would think that, since they have a separate price tag to just buy the doll, that they're not going to be limited, but I suppose all that really means is that they're not limited to the event. If it doesn't say anywhere on the site and you don't want to risk missing him just in case, I would email the company and ask them.

Edit: I think it's safe to say that they're not LE. They aren't in the LE section. They're in the regular BB section. So it's safe to have your son save up his money for his first out-of-pocket doll. It'll probably mean that much more to him if he has to pay for it himself.

Aww Annabell is so cute. Really nice face-up. Must be challenging on such a small head. And I love her hat and her little dress. they're just precious.

I know what you mean about standing the deer being a challenge when they're loose. I actually prefer Juniper being loose, and he's a solid little stander once I have him balanced, but sometimes he'll lean over awkwardly or his head will just flop every which way while I'm working on him so it can be a challenge balancing him just right in a natural looking pose.

At least right now it says that bodies aren't available separately. If there's enough interest though, I guess they might change their minds.

I ordered a fullset Moon from Featherfall because I love the turquoise and purple! I prefer the Moon face, too. And I would love to have the Moon head on a BB body - those ears are so awesome!

My little deers are pretty tight. They are very kicky and don't like keeping their heads up. I'd actually rather that than loose, but it's of course purely preference. I'm going to use hot glue to make them stand better... though they stand pretty great as it is, I don't have to fiddle much to get them to stand.

I want a Moon headdddddddd... Maybe I can find a split but I doubt it... and it sucks 'cause I can't start one since I only want the head. Boo on the rules.

EDIT: Wait... they show the head on a human body... I wonder if we can buy them with just a human body! I'm going to email them.

The giant fat tail is odd looking but there is something sooo cute about them too! I can't really decide if I like them or not... But they are super cool! And I'm glad they aren't limited!
