skitterbug: Sorry to hear about the Testors mix-up. That must have sucked. I ran out of Dullcote when I was putting the last coat on Juniper's last leg so I had to run out and get more. But I had to get more, anyway, when my last doll comes in, so it wasn't so bad.

I got the wig from DDE - it's a goodreau wig that I tried to comb the curls out of, failed, and ended up trimming a bit, haha

I'm gonna work on the faceup now, I think - I'm trying with a larger doll and her eyelid creases sucked up all the pastel and I'm just having trouble with her, so I'm gonna work on the little one now that I've got the dullcote o3o

edit: My first faceup o3o a terrible photo though, I need a better camera than my phone :T

omg I didn't realize how tiny she was til I saw the size of her head compared to your thumbnail! I guess I pictured the sleigh a little bigger cuz I've seen sleighs like that that are almost a foot long. Just kinda struck me all at once how itty bitty she is.

Nice face-up. I like how her nose looks like she's been out in the cold for awhile. I don't think I could do a face-up that small. The eyebrows would drive me nuts. I already have the hardest time making them match, but if I had to make them really tiny AND matching, I'd go insane. Another reason that my deer-boy's face up is staying as is. It was different with my 16cm DS Jax cuz he has a bunny head and didn't need eyebrows or really anything symmetrical. I don't think I could do a tiny human face-up. And I just know I'd screw up his freckles. which I love and so his character will always have cuz they're so adorable.

Yeah, she's about the same size as the pukipuki I played with at a meetup. (i've got kind of big hands but she's still a weeny little thing!) Here's another picture of her all put back together, though her wig is riding a little high.



She's got blushing around the sides of her node under her eyes too, it shows up a little better in this photo I think?

I'm still impressed she came out as well as she did - first faceup and on somthing so TINY.

Say hello to my new little albino deer Isis, she is my limited event dollzone deer girl.


i recieved her today and just could not help myself but gave her a face up. But i am not 100% happy with it, i may change her lips at a later date. she is the second doll a gave a face up too. Isis is my smallest doll she is only 17cm tall omg she is soooooooo cute XxX i am soooo happy with her. sorry for the rubbish photo but i am quite ill at the mo

She's really cute! Normally I don't care for how big her ears are, but they don't look as huge with the fur wig you have on her. I love her face-up, too. Very nice. Congrats on getting her. How do you get her ears to stay on with the wig? Did you put a pair of magnets under the wig, or are there holes cut in it? Just wondering cuz I ordered a wig for my deer boy that should be in sometimes next week or early the week after, and I was going to try to put magnets under the wig for his antlers to stick to and was wondering if that works. I definitely won't be cutting holes in it, for fear of ruining something I paid for. If it doesn't work then he'll just have to go without antlers with his wig on, which wouldn't be ideal, as I love his antlers.

Goldendiomonds: she is AMAZING! I was planning a similar look for my white deer boy (who's going to be a girl). Holidays have taken over my life though and I haven't had time to play with my deers yet. *sniff*

ookami-chan03 thank you very much my Isis wig only cost me £3 so i am happy it looks decent to keep her ears on i placed a wig cap over her head and placed strong magnets on top the magnets already built in her head. Then i placed the wig and ears on top. i hope that makes sense?


Thank you so much Call Me Stephanie i have also bought a deer boy which i was planning to make into a little girl aswell. when i finally get him/her i will add photos. but i still have not decided on the face up yet hopefully it will come to me the first time i see her. i know her name will be Ivory though

golden: Yeah that makes perfect sense. It was about what I was thinking, just without the wig cap cuz I don't use them. Out of curiosity, what size is the wig? I've ordered a 4-5 for my boy, but tirsden has a 4-5 wig that's too tight, so she modified a 5-6 wig to fit her deer. But I know that different brands run a little bigger or a little smaller, so I'm hoping the one I ordered will fit. One annoying thing about this hobby; it's really hard to order accessories without being able to try them on first. It's always a "cross your fingers" situation.
