Pandy: I love his faceup! It's too cute!

Momo and Nono don't get nearly enough love - they seem so unpopular! I wonder if it's because they look kind of strange blank. But with a faceup they can be the cutest things! o3o love love love.

How well do they pose?

I agree that it might be the blank faces. Mine came along as a freebie, and I admit I considered getting rid of her before I did the faceup.

Mine poses okay. She can stand on her own, but tends to favor more baby-ish poses. She certainly won't pose as well as a Puki. I tend to just let mine be carried around by her parents, and she seems to be happy with that.

Yay another nono!! I actually think they are really cute without face up they have such cute noses!! and I want to try different eyes in Nina as they all have. Blue!! As for posing maybe it's just mine but she's really tight and doesn't like to stand a lot! But they are so sweet there's currently a Nono in the MP for $55

I just ordered a deer boy for Christmas from a seller in Delaware in the MP. I can't wait to get my invoice so I can pay for him and get him home. He's so cute! I love all the deer spam here. How does he pose once he loosens up a bit? Has anyone restrung him or just played with him enough to loosen him up?

Is it possible to get his hooves off without unstringing him? I've never taken any of my dolls apart and I'm terrified of not being able to get him back together, but I want to paint his hooves and blush his ankle fluff.

I don't think you could get his hooves off without restringing, but they look fairly simple to restring, not too many parts. I find they pose fairly well considering they have hooves but I think they could do with some sueding. I'm going to hot glue mine when I have time.

Thanks for the info. I thought maybe I could unhook the bottom hoof part and paint the actual hoof and then worry about how to go about bushing the fur, but if I can't then looks like I'm gonna have an adventure restringing the little guy. Hopefully I'm able to get him back together. Guess I had to pop my restringing cherry some time. I've only been in the hobby for... 3 years now?

Oh well actually their hooves are on a hook... so you could unhook them and hold'em down. I guess then you could just take off their lower legs and hold the elastic in their knee. I just looked at them haha Though they still could do with being taken apart and hot glue sueded.

Hmm maybe I'll do that, then. Though it might be less trouble to just take him apart entirely. I guess I'll figure it out when he gets here.

I plan on sueding my boy when I have time, but not this week. He is tight, and I haven't been brave enough to pull his hooves out far enough to see his s-hook yet, he is so tight! I am debating if I should keep his current string or to try something thicker. I wonder if he can take thicker string?

My two are pretty loose so I'll probably get them bigger elastic and restring and suede when I do their blushing... after the holidays. I'm so swamped right now haha

Aww she's adorable, Esperanza! I love her face-up/blushing. The lines on her head petals are a really nice touch. I usually don't care for those little flower dolls, but she's pretty. You'll have to spam her more.

I have a bunch of thin round elastic that I think of as "tiny elastic" so if he needs loosening I'll probably use that. I bought it when I needed to take off my bunny's ears to blush them and there was no way I'd be able to use the tiny, tightly knotted string that was between his ears. I had to cut it to remove them! Anyway, that thinner elastic is the only gauge of round elastic my Hobby Lobby had, so it worked out. Not sure if they'd order something thicker for me if I had to restring one of my bigger boys or if I'd have to order it from a doll site or elsewhere online. But for my deer boy I think it'll be fine. And like I said, I have lots cuz I just used a little piece to put my DS Jax's ears back on.
