LOL richila!! They are so adorable and hard to resist!
Love my Dollstown girls!
I landed my mermaid body today, and the first thing I noticed was that the sizing is extremely similar to my 24cm Hujoos. I don't have any Hujoo specific clothing, but I bet looser things would fit. The PD shoulders are broader, so nothing skin tight, but otherwise if you put them back to back they're almost identical in proportions. I can't try the shoes because I have a mermaid and didn't buy her extra legs. :P
For those who might be interested, I did a lineup comparison of my LTF/PDmini hybrids with my other "fees"...

skyeyze All your girls look so wonderful decked out in spampy couture! So cute!
ForeverVirginia You already know how much I love your hybrids! You are the reason I'm even in here! haha!
I was wondering how well the planetdoll bodies pose..?? I'm thinking about making a hybrid using a planetdoll body. Heck, after looking through this thread I might just have to get a planetdoll! :P Also, if anyone has pictures or links to pictures of poseability that would be awesome! Thank you so much!!!![]()

megdalena - the posing - hmm. Compared to your fairyland dolls very badly. My lady can stand well (no hotglueing or wires done), sit very wel in the arms of one of my SDīs - and that looks very nice too, but she holds her knees in only one stand while sitting. She can touch her face without problem, hold her arms straight out to the side (Resinsoul tinies can not do that!) and sit with her hands in her lap. But her arms are either straight or bent in 90 degrees or more. I think that the problem is that she is single jointed: she looks very nice, detailed and fine, really well sculpted, but do not expect much from the posing compared to a double jointed doll. You do get value for the money.
For pictures I would recommend the Flicker group for Planetdoll Minis.
I think I'll try to wire her to improve her posing. Has anyone tried that?
Cyador Thanks for the info! Your girl sounds like she poses just fine to me. I think I'd like to try a single jointed doll. Sometimes I get so frustrated with some of the joints in my girls that I give up on getting them to do certain things. I'm sure there are pros and cons to both bodies. I am willing to sacrifice some poseability for a leaner more mature looking doll. I'm hoping to hybrid my Vampire Rolly head with a planetdoll 27cm girl body. I'm really excited about this concept. But then... looking through everyone's photos here and the planetdoll minis group (thanks for that link!) I think I might want to just get a planetdoll mini too! I love the sculpts! And the petite yet mature bodies.*waaaaaaant* LOL
And yes, has anyone here tried wiring to improve posing? I am curious, too. I've never wired a doll, though I've been thinking about doing that with my daughter's bobobie elfkins....

I find that the planetdolls are strung a little too tight for my taste and that is one reason they can be a little hard to pose. I wired their arms and it's better (simply ran a pipe cleaner through the arm elbow joint) so they aren't so snappy.
I personally dislike double-joints, and end up gluing a lot of them (esp the BBB/RS double joints) so they become single joints. To me- I would rather loose a bit of flexibility and keep the more normal looking knee or elbow. I have some really double-jointed dolls and hate that flat, long joint you get with the double-jointed knee or elbow.
Plus- it seems like double joints are more likely to spin around and disjoint when you are posing them.
MEANWHILE my mini-mermaid is IN TRANSIT!!!! She should arrive here tomorrow...when the post office is closed!!!!!!!

Aw, thanks, megdalena! I glue-suede and wire my kiddos. Otherwise, no - their poseability is not satisfactory to me. But with it they're fine!![]()
I think I'm planning on sanding my girl's arm joints down, the way the ball sticks out gets to me. And her fingers weren't separated so I plan on doing that :P
The way the mermaid tail hooks on with magnets makes her easy to dress- but it also makes her tail pop off quite easily, leaving her looking like creepy amputee doll.
Oh, My Gosh.... Thank you cirquemom for you suggestion of putting a pipecleaner though the legs.
....so simple !! ... and worked so well . It drove me a little crazy how my mini riz's legs were all over the place. She is now in control !
