Congrats, annieaday! You must be so happy! How do they basic and giftset Amelia compare? I'd love to see a picture of them next to each other!

Gracie I love your pic of Amelia on her horse and the Pukipuki Mary dress. She is so cute and I just adore her hair that way. I still haven't got the giftset but I've got a wig that might work. Now if only she'd arrive!

annieaday I'm so glad the faceups are good. I think the one on the Doll Reader magazine cover (Cute as a Button) should have been retouched before that issue went out. I can't believe it was allowed to be that way.

acexkeikai, wow! I am impressed. Can't wait to see everything....and congrats on the quick shipping! Yes, PA is Pennsylvania

Congrats annieaday! I, too would like to see pics of the them together. Looking at the dresses I have, I tend to agree with you about the pricing. I'd love to see pics of the outfits, too, if you can.

Doing the happy dance. I found three of the lil' Ty Girls outfits I had and they all fit perfectly for Amelia. The grey cat that came with one of the sets is the perfect size, too. I'll take some pics tomorrow. I feel like it is Christmas now, lol. I even found a dress I made for my Elfdoll tinies that fits.

Gracie, I started to crochet another dress heh... ^^;; and I found a pattern for pants and will try my hand at a felt dress... so I'll be all set if we decide to open a trade and yes we'll need to open a thread in the appropriate section of the forum.

I'm using this pattern for the new dress

Found her a horse that works perfectly and DD made me get her a bathroom set complete with toliet! I'll try to take pics, better ones, soon.

I'm so glad that everyone is so excited about Amelia. I heard talk on another doll board and they were really negative about her. It was really sad how someone can be so negative when they haven't even seen her in person. Glad to come here and she is so loved!
What could they object to?? She is adorable and unique in the BJD world. There are very few non-fairy tinies, and I love how different she is. While I don't have other BJD's to compare her to I think she is fantastic. My only complaint would be that she is probably not as solid a stander as some other tinies I have seen, and I wish I could pull her knees closer to her chest...but I don't have personal experience w/other BJDs esp ones this small.

I have been experimenting with some Petite Blythe patterns and they are fitting very well. I first attempted the sewing machine, then hand sewing, and finally succeeded with a combination of methods- heavy on the fabric glue. It is permanent and seems to be very strong...and is good enough for me. These clothes are so tiny! I have never made doll clothes before, but am enjoying the process very much. Lots of mistakes, lots of learning. Judging by my success so far... she will have a large wardrobe Excited to see everyone's coming home pics!

Faceup question- during one of my photo shoots, Amelia's hand jerked and hit her cheek. Later I found a tiny tiny scratch. I was a little bummed, but it was so small I didn't worry too much. Now the spot has grown a LOT, I am guessing that handling a scratch at all causes it to chip more and more? I am wondering if in the future I will be able to redo her cheek without messing with her eyes/ brows? I love her face up the way it is and the idea of learning how to do this is a little terrifying For now I will live with it!

Ask Tabloach, she does face-up retouch for puki's.

With my larger dolls i just add a little pastel if its missing, cut a hole out of some kitchen paper slightly overlapping the part i retouched and spray with MSC.

Rose414 Before you do anything about the scratch on Amelia's face phone Wilde Imagination and tell them the problem. Tonner has a doll hospital with an excellent reputation and I would check with them first before sending your little one to anyone else.

yes especially if you just received her, it's not normal it should scratch so easily, she may not have been properly sealed.

Hi, Yes I am happy! I just put a link on Linked-in (on??) forum for my Yahoo group. "LittlewondersBJD" I'm so thrilled that I finally own some true tinies. Lo-ooong story.

I think I can post photos better there. As ... I don't know how to here! hugs annie

Very easy. Place photo in the Yahoo group as usual. Right click on photo. A scroll menu appears, use the lowest one. Now you will see some info on the photo, find the URL. looks like http://xa.yimg.com/kq/groups/1428241...ge.jpg?type=sn , Copy URL. Remove all leters after .jpg

Go to doa thread, look at the small row of icons the text square. Find the icon that looks like a tree. Click and a small pop-up appears. paste URL. Post reply.

    Et voila:

I agree. It's very hard to imagine that tiny hand causing a scratch.

The person who used to do the repair at Tonner is extremely professional. I'm not sure she is still there. Good Luck!

After four days of no update, my girl apparently checked in at Vernon, CA today (wherever that is). At least she's now in the state.

At noon, mine also arrived in Vernon California. It's a big warehouse hub south of downtown LA. All my packages I've tracked in the past went through Vernon. Now I just have to wait until tomorrow!
