I got my Amelia today She's SO amazing! Now I just need to wait for her to tell me her name. I'm thinking of getting her a different wig. What size does she wear?

My Avery liked a wig I could only buy in a size four. It's too large but using two silicone wig caps under it (crazy solution) keeps the wig on just fine. A 3-4 or a 3 is her actual size.

Thank you She's so amazing! I'll be getting pictures of her today.

Izzy is home! "We are Family"[IMG][/IMG]

Oooh They are all super cute!

Here's Amber. I'm glad she told me her name so fast! I made her a wig and attempted (failed) at making her clothes. I was making her clothes out of ribbon which is a really bad idea as the ribbon kept unraveling where I cut it.

Jean, I love your 'family' they are so cute together! Your Amelia gals are so cute and I like the different colors of eyes.

Clarinetplayer I rather like Amber's 'steed' and the color is great with her. Nice wig, too.

I was away playing with a friend who has an Amelia, too. She showed my how to crochet a dress for her, and gave me some dresses and other clothes, too. I had my big girl there, too and put both of the Amelias in her lap and we took pics of them. I hope she sends me the pic soon. They are so adorable in Goldie's lap. My Amelia sits in her lap a lot but it was cute to see two of them. So I hope to have a pic to share soon. I'll take pics of her in the new outfits, too. Oh, and I just ordered her a little bedroom cottage, too. Sorry, I don't have pics to share yet. I just got back home again.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Jean, what an adorable family! They look great together.

Clarinetplayer, the wig you made is really cute. LOVE seeing her on the fab blue bjd dragon you made. Your artistry is SUPER!

Is anyone here considering attending the Tonner sponsored "Wilde Weekend", in KY, the first weekend in October? Registration for it won't open until late May but would be great fun to have DOA-Amelia representation there. Missouri to Louisville is a great drive so it's going on my calendar for sure.

Jean ! your family is so very cute!

    ClarinetplayerOoooh She is lovely!
Just an idea, to stop the ribbon fraying you could use some fraycheck with a tiny brush or a toothpick on the edge. Or if it is synthetic pas the cut edge very rapidly through a flame.

I was just at the National Doll Collectors gala, and Wilde and Robert Tonner were there. I was able to pre-order Hamish!!! As cute as Izzy is, I was more interested in a different sculpt. They said he will be available in a month or two.

Here is my Amelia in a new wig and getting into my gala dinner:

Oh thank you, I didn't think of that. I'll have to try that.

moonbeam your kids are just adorable! I love the eyes you have in them, especially Heidi's green ones. I have bought two pairs now that just aren't quite right. Do you mind sharing what eyes and what size you are using? I cant wait to see Izzy snuggled in with the other three!

    Red face

Moonbeam, your dolls are so incredibly sweet! I love the way you set their eyes. I love the way you softened and added to their face-ups. Jasper and Suki's wigs are fabulous. And the little sock/maryjanes give me the vapors. Where would I get the socks and the wigs?
I won't get my dolls till August, but in the meantime I am getting their houses sorted!

Moonbeam your Suki is adorable! Love her hair! Looks like yarn, did you make it? So cute! Love the eyes you put in her(them), too. Did you find it hard to get them out and the new ones in? I just see how full her head is and haven't really tried changing them. But thanks for the size info! I would like some blue eyes for an Amelia. If the new one I am comtemplating doesn't come with blue eyes, I will try changing them. I like the new Amelia in the layered skirt. Such cutie pies you have.

    Have a great day!
