Hi JCee and Emily! Emily looks so cute! I think I saw that outfit on Etsy and admired it. I looked for it and it was gone because you had it!!! Good for you! I hope there are more sellers who will sew and knit for her. I'm waiting for maisiedoats to come up with her mid-month fashions.

Did anyone get the W.I. Amelia bed set or the chairs and table set? I was wondering if I should get them or look around in the dollhouse miniatures section of eBay for something similar? Or, maybe I should save my money and wait for a possible souvenir doll from IDEX at the end of January? Please give me your opinion. Thanks!

Merci: Hi! I bought all of my Amelia's furniture on eBay or at Hobby Lobby. The WI furniture for her is really cute, but a little pricey. I am actually going to make a bed similar to the WI bed for her. I started it--like everything else!--but didn't get to finish it yet. They always seem to have her furniture in stock, though, so you may want to wait and see what turns up at IDEX. It's only a couple of weeks away, right? I hope you have a blast! Be sure to take some pics for us! I can't wait to see what's in store for Amelia, even though I know it will probably be a while before her new items come out. I am going to try and take some pics of my Amelia's house in the next few days. When I do, I will be sure and post a couple here.

Merci, you can only get the souvenir dolls if you go to one of the events at idex. I strongly, strongly recommend attending them. not only is it a fun event with nice foods and a nice social gathering (I so miss RL doll collectors). If you visit the event you will always leave with a great free souvenir doll or outfit and have the possibility to buy tickets for if i recall correctly 1 dollar a piece to win even more great dolls and items.

O, and do go to the mixer and meetup.

merci, I can guarantee there will be no special IDEX Amelia. The only special doll there, will be the Ellowyne from the Tea. She will be given to attendees for the cost of the tea event ($160). If there are any of the Ellowyne's left, they might sell her at the Tea, but otherwise you can only get them by attending the Tea. They will not have Amelia at the Tea. Tonner has a NuDoll from their breakfast. Outside those two events, there is never a special IDEX doll from WI or Tonner. IDEX is handled differently than the conventions so there are no tickets, etc.

At IDEX. we will get to see what is coming out in the spring, but we can only pre-order it. It will still ship the same time all the other orders are shipped and we do not get an IDEX discount.

There is a raffle that IDEX holds each year. The items are donated from all the vendors of IDEX so there are other dolls and items besides Tonner or WI. You can buy tickets at $1 for this raffle. There is a separate BJD mixer which also has a raffle, but again, they won't have any WI items. The items there are BJD items donated by BJD artists.

Just an FYI regarding WI event dolls - they almost always have leftover dolls that they put up on their site after the event. Usually within a week to 10 days. That's how I got both the first Ameila giftset, which was an exclusive from the Tonner Convention, and also the Sweet Treats set, which was from the Tonner Halloween Convention. While there is no doubt you'll get a doll if you attend one of these events (and have a lot of fun, too!), it is not without hope that you can get one of these exclusive dolls for the regular retail asking price. Ebay is always an option, but generally a bit pricey. So it's one of those things that, if you keep your eyes on WI's facebook page or website after an event, you can get lucky getting one.
