Thread: Wilde Imagination Amelia Thimble discussion part 1

  1. #41
I posted some pictures on the first page of Amelia with my Elfdoll tinies. They are taller and thinner than Amelia. Amelia is more the size of Real Pukis. Elfdolls look like big sisters to Amelia.

I've got all the lil ty outfits. They were too short for my Elfdoll tinies and when I tried then for a RealPuki swap last Christmas, they didn't fit well so I'll have to try them on Amelia. At least someone will get to use them!

For shoes, Amelia can wear the little Kelly shoes, the same ones I use for my Elfdoll tinies, but they are quite large. Sandals work better, but they can slip off.

Julie I'm in Florida, too. Have you seen any at local Toys 'R Us? If so I'll have to check them out. Congrats on your Amelia!

cattwo Your Amelia looks so cute!

Gracie Unfortunately I do not have a ToysRUs close to me. I ordered three petite blythe/littlest pet shops sets from the online site.

O my, im so bad at working with non-metric measurements. I have a pair of shoes i thought might fit, but now i think they may be too small

Chraurelius, do you mean this set of childrens shoes?
    http://www.heidiott.co.uk/pairschild...miniature.html
    or this set:
    http://www.heidiott.co.uk/pairs-chil...miniature.html

They are bot the childsize, but look quite different. Quite like the one with the different types.

Hmmm- I think the 5 pair one is mislabeled... they look more adult and the description says
5 pairs of childrens dolls house dolls shoes to fit Heidi Ott teenagers.
Assorted colours and styles, including the shoe boxes.
High quality dolls house miniature from Heidi Ott, Switzerland
Brand new to ALL of this, pardon the stupid questions!

Hi everybody, Well, on the eve of my anniversary, with the next day devoted to putting up a fence ... I looked on ebay and thought I was hallucinating ... to make this short ... I bought my Amelia Thimble gift set for 310.00. I had looked at all the past auctions and I think the price was fair. (at this point in time)

I'm one happy camper. I told hubby I'd found a little gift.

Someplace in this thread there is mention of the Japanese doll books. Are there any recent "Doll foundation recipe books" with tiny Blythe. The eBay listings are kinda vague.

I'm going to start looking for tiny clothes in TRU and our last Kmart. Photos here are great! (((hugs)))

annieaday: I'm really happy for you. Every now and then I check eBay for her and also check the completed listings. I saw a set had gone up and sold within 2 hours. I'm so glad you got it. Must have been your lucky day!

Hi Merci, Thank you. I was so excited that I didn't even look at the time or the seller's feedback.

Only 2 hours! I was truly lucky. Someone here wrote that the gift sets should show up because the amelias are becoming available. It makes sense. I'm guessing there were 200 made, possibly 250/ 300.

I have 1" scale stuff plus a RGT Victorian Manor in the box. DH's winter project. lol!

I bought the kit when I first read the Doll People. (Our B&N has the large PB version for 7.99) exactly like the original, nice drawings. I LOVE that book. My grands say "i'll bet grammy wants that house!" yeah!

I hope you get the next set!!! (((hugs)))

That second set is definitely an adult set....I have them for my Elfdoll tinys, and they fit them like a glove. They have 19mm feet. 5/8" would be about 16-17mm, which is relatively close to old style Lati White. Some of the smaller Kelly shoes should work okay, and Naripon shoes should fit her fine. I use the harder ballet flats for my LW. I know Juju's has one 17mm style.

This pattern is a PDF and has 9 different patterns for petite Blythe. I think it is very reasonably priced.

I don't know if these are the shoes you want but I found Heidi Ott Children's shoes at Motts Mini Shop in California. They're on sale:

Those are nice patterns although I do have to warn people, these were lifted from Doll magazines. Just be aware of that when you purchase. some are sold out some are still availlable but still it's cheaper than buying the entire mook that has just a couple of patterns

Aahhh, thanks richila! That is an awesome price for all the patterns. Are we positively certain that petite Blythe will fit Amelia? I love the possibilities with the patterns.

Congrats annieday! I knew you could find one. When you think about it, it may have been $100 more than the original cost, but it is still a great deal considering how much the latest WI offerings are and it was still less than what some gift sets have gone for. Also, you could have spent a lot on the stuff on the website and still not been happy because you really wanted the giftset (yes, I have had a lot of years of justifing the cost of things to DH, lol.) I know you will love her and I look forward to seeing your pictures of her.

The only problem with the Japanese books is that the instructions are usually in Japanese. I think there might be ome translations on DoA. I have a few around here for the larger BJDs and the pictures are good enough that I can use them. If someone isn't experienced with sewing, though, they might not be able to figure them out.

true I am used to reading patterns so I can figure them out and I got a webpage somewhere for commonly used terms in sewing magazine to help an english speaker.

Thanks for the heads up acexkeikai. I hate when people try to make money off of others. If the patterns are still in books that are copyrighted, the website doesn't have the legal right to sell the patterns.

Thank you everyone , Re Wilde Imagination shipping... I got a shipping notice this afternoon. My order went in 9-26. I am hoping my Thimble sisters arrive together. WI used UPS. The gift set is comiing USPS priority. I usually have to go to the PO and get them to dig in their bins. They seem to keep mail an extra over-night now. (((hugs)))

About these patterns, they are petite blythe, not little petshop blythe and i dont think these two Blythes are identical.
