I agree with what has already been said, DanceCat -- it is nice to have you back, and just ignore the idiots in this hobby. They've been getting to me too, recently and I've considered giving it all up but realized I'd miss these dolls. And I think Rosie would scratch my eyes out! LOL!
I think your Catsy should host a welcome back party . . . and you can take the pictures!

It's SO NICE to see you back posting, DanceCat! So sorry to hear of your bad experience! As others have said, unfortunately there are jerks and small-minded people everywhere. They're the ones to be avoided and not your dolls. Anyway, as I said, it's so nice to see you posting here again! Love your pic, too! Your gang looks so cozy and happy in their little home!
Welcome back DanceCat! Actually, there are several threads on DOA that I love; oddly, most of them are for tiny dolls (Secretdoll baby fairies, Tinybear dolls, Catsy, etc.) and the humans who adore them. I don't go to local meetups either. I got tired of being the oldest attendee with the most obscure dolls and also I can't stand drama of any sort. There is a doll convention here every other year which I like, but only because most people who attend are from out of town and if they have drama where they live, they leave it at home.

DanceCat, it's delightful to have you back. I adore your little cat house. You inspire me. I'm so sorry to hear of your sad experience. Ridiculous! I'm of Jewish stock and can't tell you how many times I've left a discussion when it turned nasty over the Jewish issue. I'm also not part of the Jewish community as it doesn't come via my mother, so either way I'm a fish out of water. Argghh!!! But the dolls and these cute kitties draw us close to one another. I've found such joy and delight in this hobby with those whose hearts are still full of love and sharing and caring. Here is a special place... this thread at least.

Given the cold, weird Spring we're having I figured it would be alright to use my autumn tree (only tree I have) for my Spring BBQ scene. I know many of you recognize this set up! This time it's a little crammed in the space I have; but just as fun! I thought I'd never get to use this again, YAY for being wrong!
A wonderful scene, DanceCat! Everyone seems to be enjoying the barbeque. What's on the menu - catfish? (**groan** -- sorry!)

Of course, they would need to smother it it "catsup" (ketchup to us in North America! only the Brits use catsup!). I must stop thinking in this way . . . . or I'll spend the whole day thinking up a cat menu for a Catsy barbeque!

Thanks guys. I completely forgot about the matching gazebo! Actually the reason I bought all the white wire furniture was to match the white wire gazebo my friend bought me for Christmas.

Valli, I "painted" her to be calico. She turned out to be quite a reserved personality, much like Remy, only more mature. Remy (my orange girl) is the kitten of the bunch really.
This is Ivy. I suppose it would make sense to give her green eyes or something, but I don't want to (not now anyway).

For those of you who remember, Ivy's left leg calf is a right leg calf!! I sent Elfdoll a photo and they sent me the correct calf but I have yet to change it! I just keep reflecting back to when I had to restring Chrome's arm - boy was that an adrenaline rush! I haven't worked up the courage.

Ivy looks wonderful, DanceCat -- even with the wrong calf! My last cat was a calico and she didn't have green eyes, so I think you could just keep the wonderful blue/grey eyes Ivy has, if you like!
