That's a very nice family portrait, phanuel! I love the dress on your Catsy on the left (sorry I cannot remember her name!).
And that is interesting about Elfdoll's lack of response . . . maybe I'll email them too. Rosie needs a buddy.

I think you can still get the little sundresses from The Red Lion:

I finally heard back from them today. Oka said Rainman is currently working on a Rainy sculpt that will be available in about 2 weeks and she said they don't know when they'll be open for new Tiny doll orders. Looks like there may be a long wait involved before they offer them again.![]()
Just noticed, Elfdoll website says Lovely and Tiny doll ordering is from April 27 to May 15.

Thanks for posting this, linakauno! Boy, talk about them doing a 180 - they just told be on the 26th that they didn't know when they'd offer them again and the very next day they did - lol!
Well, looks like it's not a long open ordering period this time, so if anyone is looking to order a Catsy, better get your order in!![]()
Decided to get one more sundress from Jill (The Red Lion) and she included the polkadot one for free! She hasn't updated her site in years, but she still fills orders.

Those are great dresses! I especially love the polka dot one!
Can't wait to get my Catsy!![]()
Another great picture, phanuel! I'm glad you posted it -- not just because it is a wonderful picture -- but because I looked at that site and wondered if she would still take orders. I saw it hadn't been up dated and I thought that might mean the end of possible dolly dresses for Rosie! I shall return and order. . .
Thanks guys and, yes, Jill is still filling orders! She actually showed me pics of some other fabrics she could use for the sundress so if you'd like a wider choice, you might ask her before you order.
Can anyone tell me how the layaway option works for Elfdoll?
How much do you have to put as a deposit?
Purchase must be for $250 or more, 30% down payment, then up to 12 months to pay, plan is up to you. Details here: http://elfdollshop.com/board/sview.p...now=1&CB=&ID=1

Wow! That's a very generous of Elfdoll to give up to twelve months! I wouldn't be able to wait that long of course!
Thank you so much for the information Linakauno!![]()
Those dresses are wonderful, phanuel! I'd have a tough time choosing between them - they're both so pretty!
From your posts, it sounds like you'll be ordering a Catsy soon, Indigo - congratulations! Which one will you be getting?![]()
I think the last time I was here we were on about the 2nd or 3rd page?!! I'd say I have quite a bit of catching up to do!
It's nice to see you all. I've basically left the BJD hobby because I'd had one too many poor experiences with the people; one lady I met through meet ups reneged her friendship because I married someone ethnic. It was the final straw for me. And trust me, she's in no position to judge!
But I shouldn't take it out on my dolls or my love for them. And this thread has been the only one that NEVER let me down. You are all so wonderful here. Bless you all.
Here is my current cat house. I never did get that last wall papered.![]()
I was cleaning my room and rearranging it yesterday and had to DUST OFF all my BJDs!!! It made me realize how much I miss them. I have 8 faces waiting to be finished (mostly Fairyland tinies I got in several months ago).
My large dollhouse remains idle. It just became too much of a money pit for me in my circumstances. I've actually pondered dismantling it and putting it out but I just can't bring myself. I'd like to think that I might ever get back to work and be able to finish it. Why is it that money and time are so averse to one another - you can never have a happy medium with them, you either have time and no money or money and no time!
So, anyway. I decided to "lurk" around, but I just couldn't keep myself inmode! I'll have to back-track a few pages and see what I've been missing.

DanceCat is having a Cow!
DanceCat I completely understand how you are feeling.
I left the hobby for a while and even went so far as to sell every single one of the dolls that I had.
One day found myself wandering through the pages here in DOA and looking at people's blogs and I realized that I missed 'playing'.
I think that it is important to always keep in touch with one's inner child so that we don't go mad!
I stopped going to meets because they were far too cliquish for me and there were always nasty and rude comments and arguments going on. I just didn't want to be a part of that.
I recommend many hours of playing to soothe and calm you. After all it is therapeutic. Be happy my friend.
I send you a Big Smile and a Hug!
P.S. I LOVE your little doll rooms and your little resin ones are adorable!
It's nice to see you back DanceCat! There are jerks in every aspect of life and you just can't let them ruin your enjoyment of the things you love. But I do know how you feel, even though I haven't had any terrible experiences in the doll world as yet.
Wonderful to get a look at your kitty family again. It looks as if they have been busy--so many little ones!
Indigo, thank you; you are right about the meet ups, it's true about the forums in general too. The Catsy thread is the only one where none of that happens! The company in here is very dependable and always sincere.
Phanuel, thank you, it's good to be back actually. I spent some time in denial and didn't allow myself to feel how much I missed it all. I was too busy licking my wounds and forcing myself to move on to something else. I love my new hobby, but I miss this one; I miss it a lot!
