    Tiny Oasis for Nabiyette

Yay, am I the first one to post a pic here? Here's my tiny oasis. I made the tiny kitty cat from sculpey clay, and poked in pieces of fishing lines for whiskers. The other tiny items are from ebay mostly.

I used rice paper for covering the wooden walls. It gives it the Asian feel all around the room.

So much work, but I'm happy with it now. Just need the fireplace to arrive and I can finish the bedroom and put in the lights, then connect them all and take some night shots. I'll show more of the outside then too. It's all been crackeglazed and moss added.

Thanks for looking after this thread, Sher. It's wonderful eye candy.

Those doors are so creative! What did you use to make the doors? I like the plaque and vines too. It makes me want to create a woodsey elf home, but it does look like a big project.

Thank you. The doors are just painted to create this effect. I had the plaque, mouth, skulls and 'Go Away' sign made and they are perfect. The Cottage Kitty on Etsy is the artist. She's wonderful to work with. This wasn't such a big project really. I would encourage you to start that Woodsey Elf Home. Just do a little every week and it will soon be finished. NyXy'z Nook took me 4 weeks.

I'm looking forward to completing it now and seeing it lit up, too. I may have to do some alterations to the bedroom to fit the fireplace, but NyXy finally found one she wanted and so I had to get it for her regardless of whether or not it fitted.

Thanks to everyone for commenting and enjoying the Nook.

To the person who wanted to know what to use for a carpet in their doll house, look at fabric with hardly any nap on it. I agree that terry is probably too thick a pile for tinies. Some short pile naps are untrasuede, peachskin, and some velours. There are some fabrics that say that they a brushed that would work also. Have fun in a fabric store. Also you can use fabric in small prints for wall paper too. Just be careful with the glue, you might have to just glue the edges.

DH shared this site with me, knowing how I feel about my tiny ABJD's.

    The Hunter's Haven in particular.

Most are 1::18 to HO scale, but these are PDF format, so they can be scaled to suit.
I am not affiliated with this site in anyway, other than printing and building some of the free stuff. I am seriously thinking of getting the Buildings Collection DVD.

I have seen some really cool toys and stuff in these awesome houses and rooms. I have some re-ment stuff that works for toys and the baby Calico Critter animals. The keychain board games and the etch a sketch.

Where do you find all the very cute, very miniature stuff like the Disney toys? I saw some small Disney princesses in one house awhile ago. I'm sorry I don't remember who it was but that last thread was HUGE!

I've found a bunch of tiny stuff (Princesses, Winnie the Pooh, etc) from those candy/toy machines in the mall, wal-mart, etc. You know, those machines that you put in a dollar and turn the crank and it dispenses a plastic bubble with "junk" (ie: tiny treasure!) inside.
My daughter just turned four, she has "toy radar" right now, so we never miss those machines.

I just finished making a gourd house for my Realpukis twins, Thistle and Thorn. Fortunately the gourd was already cut when I bought it. Although gourds are not real thick, they're strong and would take tools and a lot of effort to cut.

I made the floors out of popsickle sticks and the ladder out of twigs. I also made the table and acorn chairs. The rest of the furniture was purchased.

What a cute little pumpkin house!!

As I said in the previous thread, I've kind of given up on finding furniture to buy, so I'm making a room box/diorama!

Making a diorama for my Pukifee! by 101i74, on Flickr

These are the supplies~ i have some birch wood, a cute little cabinet I found at Michael's for $1, a tri-fold foam posterboard I found at walgreens for about $6.50, and I got an xacto knife to cut the wood, since i don't already have one, and some glue.

I also bought some cardstock, it was on sale 6 sheets for $1 :3 which will be used as wallpaper. I forgot to take a pic, but I bought this bathroom/door floor mat at a dollar store too, for carpet, gonna have to cut it down....not sure how I'm gonna go about sealing the cut edges (hopefully it won't fray all over the place!).

So far I've painted the cabinet white, and am making a bed using the birch wood! Currently waiting for the glue to stick~

I finally found my dollhouse from when I was a child. I still remember how happy I was when I received it from Santa, and I was nearly that happy when I found it again some time ago. I'm planning on modifying it a bit, but not too much Just adding some wallpaper, floor and maybe a room (because that little space near the bedroom doesn't have floor I want to make a little bathroom in there)
    More photos to come soon

I keep posting in here with ideas and saying I'm going to do them but I honestly haven't started anything I mentioned LOL

    But that's going to change~

I changed my pukifee from a demon boy to a fairy girl, which stirred up a nice pot of inspiration stew, so I finally started making a tiny home~

This is the general idea of the front and top:

    Inside:
    http://i1189.photobucket.com/albums/...ff/house03.jpg

Its only big enough for a bed, a few toys, possibly 2 beanbag chairs and a rug, but the bed will probably some sort of bunkbed for my pukifee and BBB Elfkin to share.

I've progressed a little further than this, currently painting the styrofoam for the patio, and the little fences.

I bought some pink and white striped scrapbook paper for wallpaper and matching pink felt for the carpet, I figured I'd make the outside look fairy-like (or like they're using a flower pot for their home), while the inside is like a girl's dream room.

Hi everyone! I love seeing everyone's creative ideas

I'm new to DoA and just found this thread. I'm so happy I found you! My absolute favorite thing to do is make houses and furniture for my tiny dolls. So far, I have a new Nabiyette and I've ordered Soso and Tyni. Here's a pic of one of my fairy houses and Nabiyette dressed up for a springtime bunny party.

PoeticSoul: Love her room, it's perfect for a genie =)

    I've got an update!

Roombox/diorama Update! by 101i74, on Flickr

So the bed is finished--I didn't really focus much on painting the body of the bed since it'll be covered.

The "wallpaper" is glued, and I thought I had a photo showing the carpet but I don't =(

I am in the process of cutting it down.

Originally I was going to make the "floor" longer, and was going to use the tri-fold posterboard as it was, but then the length of the room would be too short.

So it's going to be the size as in the photo, but of course I will add side-walls. I can't make the floor longer because I intend on putting this roombox on my windowsill which is slightly longer than the "floor".

Regarding the bed: It looks huge--it's about a full or queen-sized bed, if we're talking scale, so when my pukifee lays in it there is a full inch above her head and below her feet, however once I add pillows it will look a bit shorter.

and well, I guess I subconsciously made it wide enough for her to share with a sister....*cough*

101i74, hey, that's looking good already! You've made excellent progress.

Mehi, a wine cellar! How brilliant is that? Wow, the creativity in this thread is truly amazing. It looks gorgeous.

And speaking of gorgeous, torisaur, your little girl certainly looks lovely sitting in front of her marvelous home.

littlegreycoconut , Sparrow's Fairy House is so cute...those butterflies on the roof are such a wonderful touch!

    ~...it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...~
