Landlocked Mermaid: that's greattt i'm thinking to get rita with #1 face up too... and Yuan head.. regarding pose ability, anyone can review it? up to now i just don't have a good luck with doll pose-ability i'm thinking to put it in my granado body. but if the pose-ability is great i'm thinking to buy the elfdoll body too..

Same here, ordered her end of may, still no shipping note. Mine will be realskin on Pin up body.

I got a few suggestions about resin matching for the new resin color at comic-con.

The Iplehouse Peach Gold skin seems promising, but without a comparison its hard to know for sure.

I posted a request here, and hopefully someone replies.

I also may attempt to yellow my headcap to see if it brings it any closer to a normal tone from any other company.

[EDIT] I was poking around more and saw that maybe the Dollzone normal pink would be something to consider... but I'm not totally sure. Something to look into I guess.

Well I'm not a huge fan of their posing - the bodies are beautiful but unfortunately all three of mine are the worst posers in my clan (DZ and Souldoll being the best) ... mine are all on the pinup (double jointed) body but I did have a rainy (single joint) body and that was even worse. It doesn't put me off ED at all though - their sculpts are stunning, some of my favourites, but I'll just be buying heads from now on ... on the upside next time they open orders I can afford to get all the heads I want in one go since I won't be buying bodies/full dolls

The Elfdoll bodies need to be restrung the normal way in order to pose well. Once you do that, the pin-up body is a champion poser.

normal way? I've only ever restrung a DiM and an ED ....

Oh sorry, I should have explained better. My pinup body came strung so that only one loop went up to the neck, and the other loop went across the crotch. She wouldn't sit or stand properly. I restrung her so both loops went up to the neck, like most other dolls I have.

yeah mine are strung like that - so stringing them the other way improves the posing ... think I shall need some more elastic ... *runs off to order*

Oh they DO! I've been joking about the "dating game" ... and now I'm definitely saving up for a Soah so Makoto won't be herding the kids all by himself.

    XD trinlayk!
Ever since someone ID'd my avi pic as an Elfdoll Soah, I've wanted one. I envy you! Yours looks lovely.
She is the first bjd that I saw and wanted years ago, though at the time I didn't know about bjds. I just saw her as a clothes model on China Cart and thought she was beautiful.

Something about Soah's calm demeanor really calls to me. While waiting for one I can afford, I've bought both a Sooah & an Aurora. And still wish for a Soah!
Dirili, the headress in your avi photo is awesome. That's the kind of thing I'd like to find for a project this winter. That or a really traditional looking dark wig for a couple of the ED girls...

Think sometime soon I'm going to buy a Soah head from Elf Doll. With my luck, if I want too long they will stop selling them. I wish all doll sellers sold separate heads and bodies!

cthulhu, hehe yeah I was browsing a site called China Cart and for some of their outfits and headdresses, they make them doll sized for the product pics. I guess because it's cheaper for them material-wise...

Before someone ID'd my avi pic as Soah though, I had written to China Cart and asked them if the doll was available or if they would tell me where I could find it. They wouldn't do either :/, but they did tell me that they would make any of their clothes and accessories in doll sizes, but it would still cost the same as the full size stuff since doll size is harder to work with. They have the most amazing stuff there!

They are VERY expensive, but also very accomodating. If you wanted to buy just the headdress off an outfit, they will do that for you. Just have to ask them. This is the page where I first encountered Soah: http://www.china-cart.com/d.asp?a=Ta...stumes&d=19125

Soah was the first SD sized doll I bought and I still love her dearly.
