Cthulhu, what a sweet story! I have recently had several boxes arrive USPS badly dented. I'm sure the cutbacks have a lot of people doing a lot more jobs at the post office. I'm glad she was okay. The ears on my Polaris make me nervous all the time! But, she's so lovely that, if they chipped, I'm sure I could sand them down and be totally happy with her without the ears. Does Aurora have the glittery stuff on her face? I didn't notice that mine had glitter until I took closeup photos of her. I'm glad you posted on that body swap thread!! That thread has been so much fun to read and see the elfdolls reinterpreted on different bodies.

Cthulhu, I hope you'll post more photos when you get the body she will live on. Have you considered the Elfdoll Pinup Girl body for her?

She may have a little glimmer around her lashes, but no not really...

She does have a smoky blush at the corner of her eyes that's soft enough that I really love it.
I don't tend to be a "drama" or makeup person. So natural faceups are my favorite.

My mailman assures me that marking a box "fragile" will help with how its handled. At least at his end. The problem this time was not enough packing material & a too big box which got tossed & jumbled with all the ordinary freight on its way. (shudder!!) I've learned to use lots of bubble wrap when shipping & even then I think a blessing or magic spell is required to keep the resin safe!

Thank you for the great closeup picture, Cthlulhu!! Her faceup is in great shape!! And, I love the smokey eye shadow. I see a little shimmer around her eyes. I will remember to mark everything 'Fragile' from now on!! I usually just pack things and pad them to a ridiculous degree. But, even then, you worry.

Hi there. :3 I've been hunting the forums all day, and I haven't been able to find pictures of inside the head, her body, and posing. Would anyone recommend where I could get images of the newer dolls and how they work and are put together?

I have a junior delf body and a couple of ED heads, but I don't know if that will be of any help as I know nothing about luts skintones. But if you want I can take a comparison picture

Also, dropping in a quick picture of my Vivien boy since he got new clothes today.

EifersuchtK, I'd be curious to see what anyone else can show you. I was surprised to see how well my NS Sr. Delf body matches my WS Elfdoll head. I have NS elfdoll hands on that body & they are a visible shade darker than the body. So at least my 3 year old Sr. Delf body is closer to Elfdoll WS...
But now that I see what a nice size that body is for Elfdoll heads, I would like one for my NS Ryung as well, if I could find a match!

I'm not sure this question should go here but is elf doll going out of biz ? I have 4 of their dolls and i need to buy some high heel feet for them. but when I go to the site they have been sold out for a few months now. does anyone know what's going on?

ElfDoll have moved back to a scheduled sale of their items.
The last "window" for buying Rainy items (be it clothes, dolls, or doll parts) was 5 March to 15 March.
I'm unsure when the next ordering periods will be, but they are usually posted on their main page, when they are ready.

I finally remembered something I've been wanting to ask for a while

I have my Vivien hybrid who's very nice rather neutral skintone sold to me as normal skin, matching DZ and doll family normal pink skin and so on. I also have a newer Eun-A head, which is very bright pink color, from another dimension entirely than my Vivien head. Does anybody know if Elfdoll's new dolls are all that bright pink color or if there was just a random pink patch that my Eun-A came from? Neither head was bought directly from the company, but as far as I'm aware, ED normal should match DF and DZ like my Vivien does. I'm just curious because I'm planning to get a couple of heads to share my Vivien's body but if they're going to be that pink straight from the company, I have to figure out something else since there is no way I oculd blush them enough to make them match the body :'D

I have come to the conclusion that I have had it with my darling girl's Elfdoll body. I can't stand it, my darling girl deserves something better!

What body would you suggest? My criteria are:

A beautiful sculpt. Nice proportions.
A reasonable poser.
If possible, a somewhat taller body - more 60cm than the usual 58cm.

What isn't important is resin match.

I just got a Spiritdoll proud female body and I must say, I'm loving it. I wanted a thinner body with more model like proportions so I ordered it with the small bust. It's my first double jointed doll and I really am impressed at how much better it works than my Elfdoll body.

Quiet Queen, you might want to look at the Sr. Delf body. I'm liking how Aurora is slightly taller but well proportioned on that body & it's about 60cm. Besides the head, I switched her hands to Elfdoll because they look a little more elegant & feminine to me. Nice body, stands well & poses fine for me... The NS is right in between Elfdoll WS & NS, closer to the WS.
My friends in KS are all happy with the Dollfamily bodies. When I go visit again, I want to see how my NS Ryung looks on one of those. I've resisted so far because I don't think their arms are as pretty. I'm curious to see one in real life.

Ibilintu: I love your boy sooooooo much! I come here to study on skintones just because I'm always dreaming to get a vivien and this wish becomes stronger recently. I'd like to see a comparison if you feel free of it>< thanks in advance...
cthulhu: It's really interesting to know that ED's WS matches senior delf NS so well!! Although I've heard that ED's NS is a bit darker, I have no idea about the WS. WS usually doesn't appeal to me as it looks too pale while I prefer those "fresh skin" - some light tones between NS & WS. Your photos make me curious about ED's WS. It looks nice in the pictures8Dso nice!

I took a quick comparison shot with the Junior Delf body and my Vivien's (ED normal) headcap. The difference is not quite as drastic as in the picture but it's pretty close, though the body is a bit more yellow-toned in reality. I would say it's a possible combo, not ideal but definitely possible, with the ED skintone being a little darker and more peachy than the body.

I bought an old-stock Mir head on the last sale, in white, and there's no way he'd match SDF NS, even an old one. I have an older Bliss head to compare him to, and the Mir is completely neutral pale ivory. No pink tones at all left, or even aged-pink (I.e., now yellowed NS.)
