The idea teased me so I asked Iple and they said yes, "we are planning to release Elemental Guardians as a YID dolls." No idea of when or what gender, though if they follow the pattern there should be at least one female and male. Just start saving.

I figure they actually want to launch the new boy body first, so I'm hoping the EG YID is sometime next year.

I'd be surprised if they carried the EG line that far out. Although I'd love to be proven wrong, I suspect it will run its course this year.

HEY! I was just at the Iple House site mooning over the old discontinued YID boys, and I noticed that Soo-Ri, Barron, and Ryushin are back up for sale again!!! WT?

Is it a mistake? I wonder what the deal is? Gosh, I wish Mars and Gentle Soo-Ri would come back up for sale!

Where ya been?

We're guessing those were cancelled orders. One of the girls was sold out again within minutes.

Fwiw, Noctarcana Circus took about 2.5 years with 24 dolls and the early ones were released by limted number instead of order period. EG started Dec 1, 2010; Dec 1, 2011 was Barahan's release. So far the EG pattern is two boys, two girls. We're short two girls in the SIDs and a girl and two boys in the JIDs and now add four YIDs. Average 4 week order periods for each one (it varies from 3 to 5 roughly). That's 36 weeks and this is almost April, plus there's often at least a couple of weeks in between. Add in another stop to launch the YID boys (they've stopped to launch the girls; Isar's period ended in Feb) which I think will be launched before any YID EG's come out and suddenly it's spring 2013.

Even if they zag the pattern and, say, only do two JIDs and two YIDs that'd hit the winter events in Jan. Assuming no other pauses for some other launch (KIDs are still MIA). I counted from the first week of April for sake of argument, but, of course, they haven't restarted yet.

All ths is guesstimating obviously. They could change their m.o, but it's not an unlikely scenario. My bank account certainly hopes it isn't. I see so many pitfalls in that schedule.

I was really hoping for one of each gender in every size category. I guess that isn't likely to happen. I'd love to get a Wind YID girl.

MicroDNA: I'm just tickled there will be YIDs in the EG at all. Back before they closed the old sculpts, they said it wasn't happening.

Ugggh, I was visiting the Iple site the other day and saw some of the clothes they have out for the YID girls. So pretty~! x3 I definitely appreciate the new girls a bit more after seeing them in some more modern/casual-ish wear. I kinda want one of the new girls now... = 3= nuuuuuu~ looks like that Souldoll Star might have competition later this year for next full doll purchase.

Anywho~! I finally started working on Siere's body this week and am soooo happy that I did! Her resin is so smooth now from sanding, she can actually move her torso and once I reshape her hips tomorrow she'll be able to properly sit.

Thanks! I also want to give her a swiveling thigh joint, but I'm too scared to. xD; I might just end up eventually sending her to a more experienced modder for that addition.

But yuh, I'm so much happier with her body now. There have been too many moments where I just wanted to sell her or hybrid her because her body drove me batty. x 3x
