Known Bugs

Hi guys,

As usual, nothing ever quite goes the same as it did in testing... so there are a few bugs that we are working to fix after our upgrade.

These are the known bugs* that we are troubleshooting:

All reported functional bugs fixed.

Fixed Bugs:

• Subforum search returns search results for the whole forum.
  Workaround: If you need results from a specific subforum, try using the advanced search.

• Edits to posts will not save.
  Workaround: If you need to edit a post, click "Edit" then "Go Advanced."

We know that extra steps are inconvenient, but hopefully we will be able to get these fixed within the next week.

Hi Mods, I am not sure if this has been mentioned yet but I have DoA bookmarked and now when I go to that book mark it takes me to the site but says I do not have permission to view the site, all I do then is click on the top and it goes back to normal.
It isnt really an issue for me but you might now know about it.

^^ Echoing Tsuki and wniny, I also have the "bookmarked link returns 'you do not have permission' error but clicking the top banner fixes it" issue. Not a major problem, but I wanted to note it.

The bookmark issue is due to the fact that the forum address has changed, so it's not really a bug. New address is: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/forum.php.

The old address was http://www.denofangels.com/forums/index.php, which is why you will encounter the permission problem if your bookmark is still the old address.

unfortunately for me when I click on the little house button to get back to the main page I get the 'you do not have permission to veiw this page" error as well. I never did change my book mark when we switched over so I don't have any problems getting here it's just my handy little house is broken.

We'll look into seeing if we can make the little "handy house" icon (I like that) point to the main forum page. The reason it isn't that way right now is because the forum will soon have a default splash page (with some cool stuff on it!)... but it hasn't been configured yet. We had intended to do it yesterday, but the upgrade itself took a lot longer than it should have and we didn't want to be down more than 5 hours.

I am not sure if this is an issue or not but when I go to search a particular forum, like the MP section for a specific doll it searches the whole DoA forum not just the section forum.

It may just be cruddy internet or my laptop, but I seem to be having an issue with updating the OP of my meet up thread. I click on 'save' and it just kind of sits there and does nothing other than the little loading circle going round and round by the save button... even with nothing else going on in regards to my computer, it was like that for an hour before I gave up.

It was posted above that you cannot edit your thread unless you choose Advanced then save. I had the same problem last night I tried the Advance way and it worked just fine.

Edit: Thanks Armelia, I caught my first issue but not the second. I personally appreciate all the hard work you mods put in. Thanks!

Please read the opening post of this thread before reporting any bugs - several people have reported things that we have stated are known bugs that we are already working on.

I'm having probs clicking on posted links to other thread...gives me the no permission page. I've had to find the thread link # in the URL address of the link and do a search on the thread # to get to it.

The "search forum" tool / window in the marketplace (you know, the tiny little one that pops right up right underneath the title on the right hand side next to "forum tools") is now hidden behind the box "thread display options" and you can't enter anything.

Also, the options like the numbers of the pages and the buttons "Want To Buy+" "for Sale+" and "For Trade+" are not displayed correctly on the bottom of the page - for me, there are floating around somewhere on the right and I'd have to scroll to the right to click on them. The top ones are working just fine though!^^
