    So I'm curious.

I've noticed quite a few people mentioning that they'd like to order Lot, or have already ordered him, I'm not too sure about that, but my point is: Did anyone actually order him? I've been trawling through the waiting room and then close to the entire forum but it seems that noone actually put in a real order!

But if someone did order him.... Pics please! I want to actually see owner pictures if they exist before making the great leap!

I almost ordered him....almost. However, I've been asking soudoll for sculpt pics for months and they've yet to produce them. And I haven't found any actual owner pics either. So, I have not ordered. Their photos are so edited that i'm too wary of what I can't see. We really need pics of this boy and googling his name is a nightmare.

Eeeek. Don't tell me I'll be the lab rat since I'm almost set on ordering him on December! And the Souldoll Summer Event that's coming is really making me waver on ordering him now instead of waiting for the end of the year!

'Take one for the team'... Arrow through the heart! /wipes imaginary tear

But seriously, this needs more thinking on since this sudden event (WITH DISCOUNTS!! Oh Souldoll I love and hate you now) messes up my plans quite abit. I still need to finish setting up Paypal and recounting my budget so that if I do order him during the event, he doesn't come home just to end up naked and bald. Is it bad that I'm hoping that Soul will stick to their very delayed schedule?

    And disappointment is thy name....

    WAIT.

Souldoll edited their Summer Event notice. All discounts now have the word 'points' in them. (I have also updated the post in the news forum)

Example: Saving 7% points. Saving 10% points.

...WHY DO I HAVE A BAD FEELING ABOUT THIS. (Just chucked a question onto their Q&A)

    EDIT:

I just got my reply from Souldoll!!

    Hello?

    Sorry for confused you.

If you purchase Lot during event period, we will offer a free default make up service and 7% of your purchasing price into your account.
However, the point can't be used for the order.
You can use the point for next order.

And, you will get the point only about the cost paid really if you place an 2nd order during event period and pay the cost with point you got.

We will update the details of summer event again.
    Thank you.

Quit dancing all over my shrooms!!!

But seriously, they have now reedited the notice and included a very specific example to go along as an explanation. Somehow that tickles my sense of humor.

hee hee hee! No, I'm dancing with the shrooms!

Well, that was pretty confusing. I was pretty excited about getting 7% off the price. Points aren't bad, but... poo. I had already pulled up the calculator and figured out how much Mr Tan would be... Made for a really nice discount! Ah well. It's not as if we're not getting the tan for free already.

...I keep staring at your av, alta. So preeetyyyy!

You and me both aernath. I was looking forward to saving over $100! Alas it was too good to be true. Buuut, I was looking to get some eyes anyway, so maybe I'll separate the orders and use the points from the doll for the eyes? $42.70 is better than nothing, and I've seen people saying that as long as the first order hasn't been shipped out it's possible to combine shipping?

And thankee~ It's so nice and shiny~ But I can't take credit for the pic I'm afraid

Maybe wait for the Christmas and New Year Event if there's one? Though I'm not sure how good it'll be if there's already an event now, and Souldoll isn't exactly the most event-happy company is it?

Since I have a feeling I'll be redirected back here if I open a new thread elsewhere

Now that I'm contemplating putting in an order for the event which is far, far sooner than I expected, I need some help from you guys to answer some questions!

Eyes: 16mm or 14mm? From what I've seen most people seem to prefer 14mm but does anyone have a comparison pic of the same doll wearing both sizes? And what if it's Souldoll eyes? I know that their eyes are a bit smaller than the market size and I'd like to know what size to order.

Wigs: Souldoll why your heads so small? Just a confirmation, better 8-9 then 9-10 right? Does that count for both fur and heat-resistant fiber? And to use or not to use wig caps?

Jointed hands: Do your boys have jointed hands? Which company are they from? How are the proportions compared to the rest of the body? (Because we all know Souldoll boys have humongous hands and feet.)

Resin yellowing: How does the NS and WS yellow? Do they turn yellow, or red, or any other weird colour such as green or blue? How fast is the yellowing rate?

You're going for Lot, right? His eyes look a little more open than my Bertrand, but SD also lists Bertrand's eyes as 16mm. Which is just flat wrong. The eyes they sent with my boy are only 14mm across the flat back, and more the size of regular 12mm eyes' irises. So I would go 14mm, with the expectation to need 12mm. I'm thinking of trying 10mm in my guy. His eyes are tiny.

Wigs, definitely 8-9. Tiny head. Actual size on my Bertrand is about 8 1/4inches.

Jointed hands - pass. No idea.

Resin yellowing: So far, my white Bertrand has not faded or yellowed. He's nine months old, had a few outdoor shoots, and I can't detect any change in his resin yet. For comparison, my Doll Chateau WS Colin is only six months old, and had less sun exposure, and is already yellowed on hands and... elbow peanuts. O_o
So, so far, the white SD resin seems to be holding up quite well.

Eyes - depends on the doll, but 16mm was too big for Chiron. 14 worked much better.

Jointed hands - my husband's Chiron's hands were replaced with Soom Super Gem hands (cause he liked the smaller scale). The WS matches pretty well with Soom, so their jointed hands would fit.

Resin Yellowing - he's had him for two years now and the WS has yellowed to a nice ivory colour. It isn't a huge difference, tends to be noticeable when you put him next to a new WS doll.

aernath & kawaii_mon: Thanks! So for eyes order 14mm first and if things don't work out go for 12mm and wigs are definitely 8-9. Has no one ordered the Souldoll NS? White seems too white for my tastes, but I've heard that their pink is pink!

For anyone down below I'd like to see more answers

I don't own a full Zenith since I'm not fond of the body but I do own a discontinued head if that might help?

My Chu wears 11mm Eyeco silicon eyes; perfect fit, I was shocked because I had him wearing 13mm
DTS eyes and they left gaps. I have tried 8-9 wigs on him they are a bit loose depending on the cap, to me
the smaller the better they'll stay on him. I got him back in October of 2011, he is white and I haven't seen
any discoloration/yellowing. However, I do keep all of my resin dolls/heads in my very cold and dark closet inside their boxes.
    I hope that helps. (:

Enzyme: Yes that does thank you! And that sounds strange, are the 13mms smaller than the 11mms? And do you use a wig cap?
