    Obitsu...

So Iīm a bit confused...Iīve uploadet some pictures of my 27 cm obitsu boy in the net, under the category BJD because nothing else has fitted...

Now someone said to me my doll is not a real BJD so it has NOTHING to do with BJDīs and itīs just a "cheap plastic doll like barbie" ... Iīm still way confused...I thoughed my doll is something differend than an ordinary barbie doll...he meens a lot to me, so I canīt understand this person...

Iīve opened this thread for asking you on DoA if a Obitsu is just another way of barbie because itīs not stringed inside?

It's Off Topic for this forum, dolls must be made of resin.
    (if I am correct)
There are other forums where they can be discussed.

This thread has a good explanation of dolls that are off topic and has a couple of alternate sites where they are allowed for discussion.

IMO your doll is not a "cheap plastic doll", it just is off topic here.

Hi, I know that many are confused with these things. In this forum there are some rules which dolls are allowed to take part in this forum, and main thing is, are they cast in resin and be ball jointed with string. Obitsu body is made of plastic and the joints are made in different way.

For sure itīs not nicely said that obitsu isnīt "real" or good enough, and for sure theyīre expensive too, at least the bigger ones, and they havenīt much in common with Barbie dolls. I think youīd find a good place to discuss and share pics of your doll in Pullip forums or other similar dolls forum - at least my Pullip dolls have 27cm Obitsu body and itīs very common to use with those dolls.

Iīm sure your boy is lovely, but in this forum your doll unfortunately is off-topic. To comfort you, I can tell not even all ball jointed dolls are accepted in here, if they donīt fit in the forum profile. Please read the rules thread in main site, if you want to know better.

Also in Flickr site thereīs a great way to post pics of your doll, and there would probably be a group for Obitsuīs too.

Here are some links for you to Obitsu groups in Flickr:

Iīm sure people in there can tell you if thereīs a forum to take part of.

This is the thread that explains the off topic dolls and links you to Junky Spot who has a forum for Obitsu. The large Obitsu are allowed, purely as they had a history of being allowed before the forum decided vinyl dolls were off topic. Obitsu are lovely dolls, certainly not cheap and you should just ignore the rude person who attacked you about your doll!! Plenty of people collect vinyl/plastic dolls (I have several). There are plenty of places exist to share and enjoy your doll. Hope that helps

ps the mods will lock this topic so don't worry about deleting the thread
