Ringdoll Teens, tell me about 'em!

Really? I've been very curious about their military uniforms and contemplating getting one. Of course, I just find the notion of a dollie army adorable.

Yeah..are awesome..expecially the dark blue one,that is sold out actually,i've got two..but if i can i would love to add another ^^

Random question: How heavy are RingDoll Teenager bodies in comparison to other SDs? I admit, I don't have a lot of experience with SDs (only have access to a Crobidoll and DollFamily owned by friends and a Doll Love and AOD SD that aren't technically mine), but I know some can be really heavy while some aren't too bad. Essentially, would two RingDoll teens be too heavy to possibly carry around a convention, even if they're in a backpack styled carrier?

I carry mine in the crook of my elbow. I would guess he is about 6 or 7 lbs.

lol...I don't know about ringdoll...but I highly doubt they actaully are 6 or 7 pounds...they just feel that way when you carry them around a con. XD I wouldn't suggest the crook of the elbow thing for all day. I hear slings work really well, or you could try backpacks or front baby carriers I've seen too. We weighed a delf doll at the post office and he was just under 3 pounds I think...and delf is one of the heavier ones. Volks being the heaviest. I met a Wagashi at Ohayocon and she didn't seem that bad...normal weight for an SD I guess.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did weigh 6 or 7 lbs. Crobidoll SDs weigh around 8 lbs according to their own site ( or atleast they charge you to ship 4000g (4kg) if you order a blank SD.)

Does anyone have a Ringdoll Ran? Or the new RingTeen 2nd body? It seems a bit more muscular than the first one. I'd really love to get some more conversation in here, I'm hoping to get a RD Ran as my first SD! :3

I have the 2nd body and it is much more muscular than the 1st version. But muscular is a relative term with RD.

I carry Darius around in his dollie bag because I'm too lazy to pick him up half the time lol : P

honestly the dolls arn't heavy just tall, and thus the legs are a bit of a pain unless you got a firm grip or hold it by the torso...

you can get the bags for cheap off ebay only paid around 35 for the bag then 15 for shipping >< I need to get another one though as,

Nomnom. Dolly tummy. I love how RD sculpts their tummy's and bellybuttons, for some reason it's just stunning to me.

MoC has stopped all their preorders until Ringdoll fulfills the ones from last October to Recent. :/ I heard they had to move workshops because there were injuries? That really sucks, I hope nothing else happens, I think they are a wonderful company.

Slowly gathering monies for my future Ran. I think he'd look so pretty in DZ Floy outfit too, I think it was Cyranstar up there who had their RD Teen in the Floy outfit and it was awesome!

Hey! Random question, do we know if any of the jointed hands (Dika/Illusion/DZ?-etc) will be a resin match for them?

TQV- I have done some research on that random question of yours and...resin match is not an issue as much as wrist size...ringdoll Teen's wrists are tiny! They don't fit any that I know of...and I've done my research. I'm waiting on ringdoll making their own (they said this year...but...) or you could get the mechanical arm).
Also, I think the injuries happened during the move, not the move happening b/c of it.

ringdoll already stated they will be giving out their jointed hands to the people who had to wait on their order during the incident :3 so I guess they are making them now?

They are handing out regular hands for the Grown dolls. No jointed hands at this time.

I have seen pics of RD's dolls with jointed hands but it was not stated what brand they were.

Teseya; thanks for that. I wasn't sure what was going on. I read over it and then I went to sleep and my brain frumbled it up. ^^;

Regular hands for the grown? Drat, I do wish RD would make some jointed hands, I like the mechanical arm, but it just doesn't suit the boy at all. Maybe for special and random occasions but for day to day wear the arm just doesn't work his 'look'.
If they do come out with jointed hands I hope the Teens get them first. ^~ Just so I can see how they look.

I think I've seen shots with RD's with jointed hands too, Cyranstar. I do wonder what brand they were. It was on the sale pictures, yes? From one of the ebay sellers? I can't remember. @@

Oh those! I remember...it was on a pic that was posted in the discussion...but we didn't know whose doll it was...but I think we found that the wrists were still big on his body...the sleeves just covered it.

There have been problems with delays and such with RD lately, which mods have expressed they do not want discussed outside of the feedback forum.

I can't remember if Peter was available for immediate order, since he had the half price special on him for a month or two.
