That definitely opens up some seriously adorable outfit options. Do you have your eye on any of the nifty KID outfits they have so far? Amendment to the Ken Clothes post:
OLD Ken clothes fit, though letting down the hem will help with length. Shirts fit from old and new ken clothes. But apparently these Fashionista Kens have lost some weight, and thus the waists don't fit anymore.

I also wonder about Action man, the 90/2000's type. They are quite chunky compared to the original version.

My Lonnie has arrived! I really like her proportions - am not yet entirely convinced about the faceup but will wait until I get home and can try wigs on her before getting too worried (I chose faceup A and even on peach gold her eyes look a bit racoon like!). I haven't ordered her actual wig yet - I know what I want but wanted to see the PG skintone in person to make sure it would work.
It's going to be a looooong afternoon waiting to go home!!
Asking Iple to give my Irene black eyelashes instead of the blonde ones her faceup comes with. They did it for my Rexy but for some reason they won't do it for her... makes me sadI asked them again so we'll see what they say... but if not, I guess the blonde ones aren't all that bad...
If they won't swap them you could always ask them not to attach the lashes and apply some yourself when she arrives, at least that way you'll make sure she looks 100% how you'd like. Glueing in lashes is a pain though!

Congrats on your new arrival, I am very envious! Still awaiting shipping notice here. Sorry that the faceup hasn't thrilled you so far, but you know these things often grow on you and all dollies look more charming with their wigs than without! The best part might be that it won't be the end of the world if the faceup chips, but just an excuse to redo it!
jennspeaks, that's annoying that they won't do the lash change for you, especially if they have done it for you before (and considering you are a returning customer as well!) I'd definitely point all that out to them before giving up. Faceup A is really striking and worst case scenario the blonde lashes are different and I think quite lovely if you don't mind keeping her hair color light brown or lighter.

Agreed. I noticed this with the KID "Grand Opening Event", buy two dolls and receive free two sets of underwear. Definitely not enough to tempt me to buy a second doll!
It's possible that this is a very good sign regarding Iplehouses general profit margins. If they always price dolls as affordably as they can, there would be very little left for spending on freebies and giveaways.

I'm just so spoiled by the usual super-fast shipping times that Iplehouse has. *siiigh* Hopefully we'll both get our notices soon! I'm just hoping I get to keep my power during the big impending storm, if I get a notice and can't even get online I'll be sad.

Anyway, here's Siddal. I need to find her a wig this colour in a size that actually fits but I'm pretty happy with her.

OMG Honeythorpe, she is SO BEAUITFUL!!!!! I love that wig on her too! I think Monique wigs in 6-7 should fit generally, and the carrot red looks very close to that red.
I just Q&A'ed them and they said my Lonnie is ready and they're just finishing up the hands. So she'll ship day after tomorrow! I'm so exciiited!

thanks Tatterpunk My friend has a tiny wig in the monique carrot colour and it is a much richer red than the carrot from other companies. Next time she visits I'll have to compare it to this one. And YAY for your (almost) shipping notice. I hope the next few days fly by!

Siddal has an awful lot of sisters (and one brother) to meet over the coming week but for now she's hanging out with Maeve. I never would have thought these two would look good together but they're both so photogenic and have such pretty skin tones and their sizes balance nicely. Somebody here also asked for a comparison with a MinoruWorld Jr which I've added to my flickr.

I've been lurking about this thread for a few days now, while in another tab I've had Iplehouse's site open to the new Milly doll, sighing dreamily. I already have a nYID Bianca (who is gorgeous) so I've ordered from Iple before, but in that instance I paid for it all at once (which was painful and a little scary).
I was thinking this time of doing Layaway. Is it as simple as it sounds? I know they want at least 1/4 up front and you can pay it off over 3 months. I was thinking of simply half now and half in another month (esp since some of the fashions I want won't be available till then). When you want to pay the second installment, do you go to Paypal and send the money, or do you go through Iple's site again? Or are there other instructions you get from Iple later on?
