Your Hikali is so cute, Wally! I love how you've styled her. I want a Hikali even more now; I have her name and personality and how she's styled all planned out, now I just need the doll. Maybe I can use some tax refund $$ to get her.

I saw my best bjd pal last weekend, and she has a new Hikali at home too. Her Hikali is styled much differently than mine, SO CUTE, but so different looking! Such a versatile sculpt, with so much personality!

I've been looking into Shinydoll bodies and I have a quick question. I see we are upto a Fragille III body. What are the differences between the versions? Any significant differences at all?

Also, I read somewhere that the Fragile body doesn't hold poses quite as well as the Thaasa body. I assume hot glue sueding will help. Has anyone done this on a Fragille body?

Any advice much appreciated!

Oh boy, I'm on a Fragille kick! samson, As always, I love your darling Sato, and renee-chan, your Suzune is darling!
Here's my new Fragille hybrid, a Unoa Sist. I think this is my 4th Sist, and none have stayed. This one might be a keeper! Love her on the Fragille body, so much more functional than a Unoa body!

About differece between Fragille III and II&1.
Sculpt silhouette is almost the same.
But posability of III is much improved from II.
Posability of II & 1 is apparentlly less than Thaasa.
I personally think posability of III has caught up that of Thaasa.
But, because of the smaller-diametered-rubber-string of Fragille,
Fragille III has a little bit of feeling of week posability.

Anyway, it took years to accomplish shinydoll's ideal joint-structure on Fragille body.
Especially hip joint was supper difficult to develop.

Thank you so much for kindly replying to me. I have heard wonderful things about your beautiful bodies and I can only imagine how difficult it was to develop such possibility on the smaller Fragille body. I only have money for one of your beautiful girls so I've been trying to decide which to get! Most of my girls are 1/4 MSD sized but I have been thinking of possibly going for a slightly bigger girl. Argh! How to choose! And I just saw some of Ravendolls gorgeous Shinydoll face-ups and they are all beautiful!

I surely recommend Thaasa. ^^
I feel it's the nicest size to design BJD. ^^

Tatu, the ShinyDoll Thaasa girls are about 56cm and slim, so not too tall. I think they look great with 1/4 sized dolls, like teen aged big sisters . I can take a pic of one of my girls with a 1/4 and 1/6 sized dolls so you can see how they look together, if it will help you decide.

Tatu, I am crazy over the Fragille girls, and having a wonderful time with them, but as renee-chan and Shin-san have said, the "SD" Thaasa girls are a wonderful size! Slender SD girls, ridiculously poseable, and one of my favorite things about them is the ability they have to wear some SD and some MSD clothes and shoes. They hybrid wonderfully, as well! The bodies just can't be beat!

Thank you everyone for the advice. I've decided to go with the Thaasa body but I am undecided about which head sculpt to go for. I really like Hikali's beautiful head. But I suppose she'd look weird on the Thaasa body though. I guess I should stick to the Thaasa heads or I might do a Unoa Zero hybrid if Buff gets the Zero Head backs as planned.

Now if the money I am waiting for would just arrive already I would be all set to go! : )

If you like Hikali in the Fragille size, then Akali is her in the Thaasa size, so you're in luck!!

I love how versatile Hikali is!! After parting with my Shinydoll Kanagi for size/space issues, I sorely missed the presence of one of Doi Shin's masterpieces... The stars aligned just right and I was able to bring the Hikali I've always wanted home. She's still nameless and her style is still forming, but here she is...
