Thanks! She does look a lot different then she does with the factory face up, but I think I like her better this way. She has such a sweet face and an adorable little pout. I'm waffling between Anya and Anika for names, but it's gonna take a wig and eye change before I'm sure.

Hello! I am saving up for a WS Donut right now. I was going to save up for my bigger guy first but I found the perfect little box to use as a carrier at the goodwill and things sort of spiraled out of control from there. Her name will be Aenerys, and she will have violet blue eyes, white blonde hair and really pretty sparkly blue sheep horns.

Actually, I'm here to ask for the one measurement that I will need to complete the box. What is the actual width of the doll at the widest point? If I have that measurement I will know wheter or not I will be able to add an extra little compartment to the side of the box for wigs and stuff. The box itself will be stained a red mahogany on the outside, have a purple and gold beaded handle and the inside will be padded and lined with whatever cute fabric I find when I get home.

snow072291 Our lovely dollies fit into Pukifee and Lati Yellow clothes quite nicely. There are plenty of sellers on etsy as well as people here on DoA like Spampy. If you can knit, crochet or sew you will find plenty of patterns that you can customize and make your own one of a kind!

I just got a full time job for the summer so I am going to put my Donut on layaway as soon as I get my first paycheck. This way I can have her delivered to my new apartment my first week of school and I will have time to get her stuff before she arrives. Well I might see if they will send her to a faceup artist first, I hope they will.

I don't know of any dealer that will send a doll to a faceup artist before sending it to the customer, but you could always get the default faceup when you place your layaway if you don't want to do it yourself or send her away to a faceup artist after she arrives. The AE default faceups are pretty nice, and not terribly expensive. Miela's faceup is the default. Here's a better picture of it!

I doubted they would anyways. I probably will add on the default faceup anyways as I prefer getting their actual faceups after I've had them for a while. Right now I'm searching for her coming home clothes, I know how to crochet but I won't have time to make anything this summer as I will be working full time at a theme park. Once I get back to school I should be able to make her some stuff.

It has been sunny outside today, so I had the opportunity to get some good photos of the dollies. Since my mum accused me of neglecting Miela (because she was sulking - she wants her brother to come home), I made sure she got some one on one photo time! I realized in the process I have far fewer doll clothes than I thought I did, so I'm going to be doing a lot of sewing this summer.

Thanks for the pictures Lubelle. I think I might end up putting both a white skin dconut and a normal skin Donut when I get my first paycheck at the end of May (I'm assuming Peppermint will sadly be gone by then). About how long do they take for preorders?

It'll be nice to see a comparison between the white skin and normal skin!
My Donut was in stock at MoC when I got her, but from what I have heard, the wait times for AE are pretty long. MoC can only place preorders once the last order has arrived (and that's usually every 3-4 months). I think they used to have the average listed as 12-15 weeks. I think the next preorder date is June 13, so the end of May is probably a good time to place an order. I'm planning on ordering a Chocolate around that time.
As for Peppermint, the only one left in stock right now is a blank white skin, so unless they've got more coming in the last order batch (which I doubt - I think they have already received the last order), once she goes that's it.

white skin and normal skin are actually pretty close. the whiteskin is comparable to slightly yellowed dollzone white/brand new normal yellow, and the normal pink is dollzone np match too. <3

Umm... It looks like a WS Peppermint will be greeting me at my new apartment in late August. I could not resist like I thought I could and I just put her on layaway along with a pair of point and fist hands. I knew I would end up regretting it in the long run if I did not snatch her up and hopefully I will be able to come up with a name and character for her before she comes home.

After a bit of though I've decided that Peppermint works perfectly for the youngest incarnation of one of my characters, Anri. Also, if all goes well her Daddy (a NS male Lemon) will be coming home too. Now I just need to find her a nice sandy brown wig and a good pair of bright green eyes.

Miela wears a Monique Gold Collection wig, and they come in just about every style and colour. It fits her very well, and is excellent quality. Denver Doll Emporium sells a few styles, but there is a wider selection at Facets by Marcia.

I'll look into that as I will be needing one for her older brother Liam as well (it is surprisingly hard to find good boyish styles in size 5/6). Do 10 mm eyes fit by the way? I like my dolls to have a bit more white showing.

Edit: After checking out facets I think I will get Anri a honey blonde Navajo wig and I will eventually get a light peach blonde Paris wig for Aenerys. Still trying to find Anri's eyes, though Aenerys's photo eyes will likely be 11mm starlit blue Eyeco eyes. I seem to have become much more picky with eyes of late.

Navajo and Paris are both lovely wigs! Just be aware they will be quite a bit longer on the AE's than on the dolls in the pictures.
As for eyes, AE's defaults are lovely. I believe they are 12mm, and there is very little white showing, so 10mm should fit just fine. All of my dolls wear their default eyes, so I don't know much about shopping for eyes, but I hope you find the perfect ones for Anri.
