Thread: Unsatisfactory transaction/Refund with angelofpurity - UNRESOLVED MEMBER MP BANNED

  1. #41
My Mono arrived today in great condition, (though I was very afraid when I saw the box-yikes!). He was well packed inside though. Angelofpurity also sent along an outfit complete with shoes, wig and necklace which was very sweet of her.
So, happily, this is one transaction with her that has ended well!

yay ^_^ Didn't her sales thread specify the dress was included in the sale? Just saying, I think you purchased the dress, it's not an extra.
Also, did you buy EMS shipping?

I'm glad you finally got your doll!

Yes Very happy for you, because the getting the doll is all that counts
(same point though, the outfit was purchased with the doll as specified in the sales thread.)

Maybe one of you can contact Elizabeth? We really would like a reasonale explaination. Also, Elizabeth still owns Ekonsine.

    Sawn20: about her not responding.

No, actually, the outfit wasn't part of the original sale- she mentioned sending along a few little extras after I innititally contacted her, but I didn't pay for them. So, yay for her for sending along some freebies

As for contacting her, I tried last night to let me know my boy had arrived, but she hasn't gotten back with me. I will certainly let you all know if she does get back with me so that maybe it will open up communications again fr the rest of you.

(because definitions mean a lot to me): In almost all her sales, she specifically said she would include clothing and some little things with the doll purchased.

(Thus): Everyone who paid for their doll also paid for those few little extras. It was part of the deal, not freebies that are thrown in to appreciate the buyers.

In worse terms, we not only lost out on our dolls, but also some cool outfits. Which isn't as bad as the doll part. Or the ignorance part.

Still, I really hope Elizabeth will turn up soon and give us some words, however petty.
Yes, please contact Elizabeth if possible, and thanks arrowchild.

I also had a problem with Angelofpurity - I purchased a Dollmore F model body from her, then a few days later I received a refund, with no explanation other than that she couldn't ship the body out for a while. I'm happy that the money I paid wasn't lost, however, I was incredibly disappointed...I was also very confused as to why she hadn't sent me a pm before giving me the refund. I would have been completely fine with waiting for a while before the body was shipped, and I told her so. I have pmed her since then, and have received no response...I'm a little shocked as to how many people also went through the same thing...I guess I'll watch this thread for a while and see if she gets back to anyone.

I still haven't heard from her, and she STILL owes me money or follow through.
Can anyone suggest what I do next?
I've messages her so many times she must be flooded already. >.<

Mods, can you tell us when she was last on?

My paypal account is on hold for her and it needs to be wrapped up before xmas! GAH

November 26... does this mean she's never coming back?
    (to self: wow very negative.)

Ekonsine: how much does Elizabeth own to you?

I'm not entirely sure how much it is at this point.
The email she sent me she said she'd be paying back paypal fees and then giving me extra money for all the time and disapointment.

I'm guessing like 5 dollars in paypal fees? That's really all I can pressure for anyway. I know it's not a large sum of money, but i'm still going to keep fighting for what I believe is right. I mean, I lost a lot of money in preparing for this doll, and money packaging the trade that was supposed to be mailed to her!

Ekonsine: Elizabeth told me that I would get my paypal fees back and some more for my compensation, too. I haven't heard from her since.
I think I am going to just forget about those paypal fees and the compensation $$, and chalk this up to experience or whatever.

You are right to fight for whatever amount is owned to you.
    good luck.

I'm going through a purchase right now for a Stella from someone else, angelofpurity only has so many more days to clear up this transaction with me before it's too late. Regardless, she still owes me money and i'm not stopping until I see it.

Still have had no contact from angelofpurity, despite emailing her here on DOA and her paypal address.

    Hey all...

A VERY long explanation (I realized when reading through before posting, but I feel I needed all those words).

This is the first time I'm on DOA in a very, very long time. Today was the first time I checked my email also. I've been honest with you so far, but I will try to explain some things that I haven't told anyone before as a direct result of your reactions to the way I've handeled the transactions. Yes, you've right. They were managed horribly by me, and I would feel just like you if it was the other way around. So, this is what is is, an explanation of what happened. I know that some of you feel that an excuse from me is not enough, and I respect that. But just know that I knew that I would find this thread about/to me before I logged in.

Yes, I have been ill. More than anyone knew. That's almost all the explaination, but not the whole. What I didn't see myself at that point is that I should just have put the dolls away until I was well enough to actually get them sent. What happened was that I actually was so desperate to give them new homes, due to circumstances awoking a lot of trauma (yes, I've had a doctor's appointment and he helped me find someone to talk to, professionally, about those circumstances, and it's silly and no excuse, again, just an explanation, but I was given the diagnosis (you're free to laugh) post-traumatic stress disorder) I reacted too sudden (not like me) and then I became really ill and got worse right after I've put up the sales ad. I never thought it should prevent me from going to the post office in reasonable time, though.

I love all those dolls, that's why I wanted to re home them for such low prices. And send "their" stuff with them. When it comes to shipping and EMS, I'm really glad those of you I shipped to wrote that they wasn't actually shipped by EMS. I'm as puzzled as you are. I was explained that what the Norwegian postal services call the service "cash on carry". I myself find that name strange and wondered why they just couldn't call it "EMS". They explained it on several different occations, because I'm kinda paranoid using pay pal and selling things because I was tried being scammed before in a way no one should think anyone could do, and go through such lengths just to get dolls.

Those were dolls sold through ebay. I finally got positive feedback from everybody, but I struggled for several weeks resending "proof" that the dolls were shipped and received and had to make screenshots from usp.com - track and trace, that showed that the dolls had been signed for when they arrived. It began with someone wanting a doll so badly that I sold her -$200. It sound stupid, but I did, she said she was a student and could not pay more, and that her sister wanted the doll so badly, that I offered her the doll. Then when I had sent the doll and emailed her the tracking, then suddenly she wanted to cancel the transaction because her sister suddenly had an experience which led to her being scared just seeing that kind of doll. You can't cancel a transaction once you've pushed "buy" at ebay. At least that what they say. And the doll was shipped in a few days after the purchase.
But what was strange was that at almost the same moment another, then to me I thought unrelated buyer to the other one, filed a complaint against me through pay pal. I'd sold her two dolls. She had "heard" (from the other one) that she had reasons to believe that I would not ship them at all, even if I would have received punishment from ebay and that meant I wouldn't be able to sell anymore, and she able to, and free to give me bad feedback which she didn't in the end.
I didn't understand anything because due to pay pal rules and ebay you have to ship the items within one week and send tracking in order to get the seller protection. And ship registered, that means the way I've shipped every single item I've ever sold and that I was told was EMS, btw. Since I sold many dolls at once I was really aware of that and did everything I could to get the seller protection.

With a friend who helped me investigate, we found out that initially through a forum for these dolls and eventually flickr and other places, we found that almost every buyer (almost 10 around the world) was eachother friends and contacts and actually had a flickr group making it some kind of game to get hold of at least a doll per week and then reselling it more expensive on ebay. I found pictures of my dolls. They didn't care about the extras, they just posted pictures of those as a nice "catches" and cheered eachother, like in a competition. Ok, this is about the Blythe doll. I had a collection, long put away, and when I discovered bjd's I wanted to sell them to start with those instead, as you can understand.

But that whole experience made me overly aware of the dangers pay pal can do, even if you've done everything according to the "rules".

So I was terrified when I needed (emotionally) to sell my bjd's and stressed with putting up the sales thread.

To Ekonsine, to who I've now refunded her rightful money, I want to say that I at that time was terrified when she paid and her name didn't show up with an address. According to pay pal you need to ship to that pay pal address in order to get the seller protection. So even if I trusted her, I had that previous experience what could happen... To Ekonsine: I feel terrible for not having the courage then to tell you that I hesitated to sell Stella for that reason only, and not telling.
I felt ridiculous then about the reason, but that's why. I was afraid to sell the "wrong" way, according to pay pal, and some one claiming that the item didn't arrive no matter what the tracking said and loose a lot of money. In fact, that stupid, ridiculous feeling followed me whenever someone wanted to buy a doll.
I now realize that if I felt that way I should not sell my dolls at that time, just get them out of sight. That is really what should have realized before I put in the ad, and then came my illness which would have not had even even been a question.

But I did put up the ad. I never realized how ill I would become. The thought of not being able to ship the dolls at all was not in my mind. I just thought it would pass quickly. But when at least I felt that too much time had gone, me possessing your money, then I felt so badly about it, that in a hurry I managed to get on the net and refunded all your money. I never realized that anyone would lose money, the fees. When I read in here that you did, a long time ago, the first person I refunded money to was Lulu. Then I managed to make a refund to more.
When I had been ill so long that I refunded the second time I tried to write a higher amount by writing a higher number in the "make refund" option in pay pal. I managed to make some refunds that way. At a point I was too ill to use the computer and I haven't been on the internet from somewhere in December.

As I wrote I knew what I would find here on DoA when I logged in again. As said I would feel the same way myself, it could have been me, every single one of my buyers.

But I've missed DoA really bad and wanted come back no matter what I would find. I just need to face reality. When I now look behind, I feel like I have been in a brain fog for months. No excuse, it's a relief finally to be able to try to explain.

I just felt horribly bad having all that money in pay pal, because I was not able to communicate with anyone. Yes, I had moments a long time ago when I was here almost every day. Just passivly look at pictures and read some. But I really was not in a condition where I could communicate with anyone or think clearly. Everything is all my fault. But I'm determined to learn something of what I did wrong and my irrational reaction to it. I feel really bad. I should have handled everything another way. I agree.

About lost fees: If anyone have not received it during today, Sunday or early Monday, please PM me. I'm going to make my profile visible again and enable PMs. (I can't even remember disabling it.)

You can also check this link if you wanna read about how and the cost(from $54 world wide)of how I shipped the dolls. I was so paranoid that I shipped the one head I sold that way and lost money on the sale, because I had those fears.

    http://www.posten.no/en/Products+and...kages/8159.cms

And yes, I was terrified of bad feedback.... *ironically* That's also part of the reason why I refunded. I thought that it would be better if people got their money back than getting bad feedback. I didn't realize then that just by doing that you had every right to react negatively.

    I really didn't mean to.

This thread's linked in Angelofpurity's feedback thread, I personally have all my money back and consider this UNHAPPILY resolved on my part. I'm hoping the MP ban remains in place to prevent other buyers ending up in the situation again which I have ZERO doubt would occur were the ban lifted.
