Looking forward to seeing him in his new clothes. I do think he'll look wonderful. I was seriously tempted by that hunter outfit which I've been eyeing for a while. Thanks! And I'm looking forward to seeing Taurus in that hunting outfit. I thought it would suit Wang but held back from buying it. I really do need to get Wang another outfit though, preferably one that nobody else around here will pinch for themselves.
Anyway I've just discovered that it's impossible to search for Hui Ka on DoA. I wanted to look for other versions and tried various options, including "HZ Hui Ka" but nothing comes up, and when I add in the full HZ company name the search engine claims it's too long. This is a great shame because it makes it very hard to find examples of this head sculpt and doll. Therefore I hope other Hui Ka owners put up more threads with their dolls so that he has a visible presence on DoA. As it is, I know who some of the other owners are, but it's a pity that the search function is not showing up relevant threads.
I just tried it as Huika and got results! Here ya go.

I have a kind of random question--have any of you guys used HZ wigs? What are they like? If they're really nice, they have one in the perfect style/color for a doll that's OT for this topic. Thanks so much! >3<

HZ doesn't appear to have the wigs that are in the full set pictures.
I tried to get Wang Ye's wig, but even though it was an OK wig, it wasn't anything like the picture.
The quality matches any other good Chinese wig; I have no complaints about that.

As far as I know, no one who usually posts here has one. He is beautiful though - but as I understand it, he's an alternative version of the Tian sculpt, painted differently and with a different wig and outfit.

Tonight hopefully I will have pics up of Taurus in the HZ Modern Hunter outfit. It's nice but not what I was expecting. The pants were so long that I could hold them under his chin and they reached his ankles (not on obviously). You have to really roll them up (like in the pic) but I wasn't expecting that much. The white under shirt is not a button up like I was expecting but a wrap style that has four strings you need to tie together. I need to cut them since they hang out from under his other top. It is also short and barely covers his stomach. The tan vest top laces up in the back which I wasn't expecting either. I was thinking it would be fake buttons in the front. I still like the outfit but I'm going to look for different pants for the tops since they don't really match it.

That's interesting. I loved this outfit in the photos but when I looked close up it seemed a bit modern looking for what I had in mind. I'd still love to see Taurus in it though. Maybe some photos of the different parts of it too would be of interest. I like the sound of the vest.

He's looking gorgeous in that outfit. I do think he's looking at the camera in a half-amused, half-protesting sort of a way. But with a certain degree of pride in his new outfit. I've been in the gallery - it was great to see the outfit from the back and the different parts. I do think the vest would look nice under a snug-fitting jacket or coat though, especially one that perhaps didn't allow room for shirt sleeves.So here he is. I'm going to put the other pics in the gallery and will edit in the link after.

I've noticed that Taurus doesn't look as moody when he is in more fancy clothes. Must be his noble blood kicking in XD
I will be experimenting with the different parts so I'll definitely share if I find more good combos.

I like that vest! The pants are cool too but I don't know about having to roll them up so much, I think I'd try to hem them. I keep my Wang Ye in his fullset outfit most of the time. I've tried to put him in more casual clothes but he looks so outraged every time!

LOL. My Wang actually looks softer in his alternative outfit of romantic billowing shirt and brown wig. It gives him a swashbuckling air. But it's true I once put him in a hoodie, and he looked furious! I think smart casual is okay with him, and romantic historical costume is great, but anything too casual just makes him look like a potential hooligan.
