She is a gorgeous girl but...I just can't get over that mouth guard teeth thing....I don't understand how they put those pictures up for sale without thinking 'we really need to make those teeth look like teeth', it's really spoiling her at the moment! I noticed someone had mentioned it in their Q&A so it has been brought to their attention at least!

    Hopefully they'll respond to this!^^
Teeth parts are typically so tiny...(I'm thinking of Supia Rosy) how hard could it be to either adjust the actual sculpt of them or add a few lines along with the face up? I don't know....what I do really like though is that Dollmore shows 5 different styles for her - a lot of companies out there could take note of this!

They're not always tiny lol I have an AiL elijah and his is huge XD but it looks like teeth.
I'm not crazy about her teeth part either, but I think it could easily be fixed with a faceup. The suggestion of teeth lines and some faint color to make it a little less...bright is all it needs. I also wonder how much the placement of it is the factor...kind of like with eyes, if it can be moved up a little to make it less showy that would help a lot, or like gelfling9uk, mod it just slightly...Now I want to play with her >.<
If only I needed a huge girl!

I ordered her last night. I couldn't help it. They won't paint in tooth lines but they said they could make the area darker?? I dont know what that means but hey! I just hope it isn't as bad in person. Is there a thread that lists where to find clothes, shoes, and patterns for them?

  5. #565
Hopefully making it darker doesn't mean painting the whole area in with lip color, which is what they've done on several other sculpts that have teeth, albeit smaller teeth. Are the teeth a separate piece or part of the mouth sculpt?

Congrats RROSS on the order! :-D

There's a thread here regarding model doll clothing, and I would also like to know if the tooth part is removable - even if not, I'd still get her and try to mod/paint it myself. I have 2/3 rd's of the money for her, but am resisting layaway's for now just to play it safe.

    Lookit!!

    * Her teeth part will be modified to one with lines carved like Zaoll Muse's one.
so the new teeth part will be shipped out to customers.
It's on her description! I guess they listened! XD

Wow, that is amazing and very quick of them to respond like this

So anyone that was initially put off by the teeth part, will you be placing an order now? :-)

Q: Also, which styling of her do you like best? ^^

I like her best in the short black wig but they said that is a wig the workers styled so it's not for sale. I like the blond wig where she is wearing the fur coat.

To me, this new doll doesn't look like Brandy AT ALL. She's more reminscent of a big, tan Judith---it's the mouth and eyes. She's beautiful though.

I really like the photos in the blond wig too - very contemporary and I would love to get some of those bags, they look like they are styled on the Hermes, Kelly bag.^^

I also really like her in the black wig and check shirt, it is these pics that make me think of a Mowtown singer ...I'll have to figure which one exactly. :-)

I like her photos in the brown and blond wig. Her blue eyes in the last pictures are magnificent

That's awesome that they're modifying the teeth part. I look forward to seeing pics from those who do get her!

This girl really has me tempted, but I'm really afraid that she'll be too tall for me. kawaii_mon you have a comparison pic of a model doll and an DM Eve doll in another thread and WOW what a size difference! I don't have any dolls in this size range so would have to also get clothes and shoes. I've been trying to do research on the clothes thing as there's only like 1-2 things that I like from DM.

Cynthia in FlintHills thanks for so many posted links in other threads - I went a read through all of them. While I learned that Dollshe boy clothes will fit, some SD13 clothes if stretchy and short sleeved will fit, and Cheerydoll skinny jeans for Hound will fit, I could not find specifically if Soom Supergem or iplehouse EID clothes fit? Can anyone tell me if either of these clothes will fit the model dolls? Had much better luck with the shoe issue.

Well, clothes-wise, the best thing about the Dollmore Model girls is that Dollmore's own clothes fit them perfectly. Dollmore has pages and pages of fashions, most reasonably priced, and tends to ship out orders within days of receiving them. I buy Dollmore clothes for many of my dolls, not just the Dollmore ones. You have to dig but there are some VERY nice fashions on the Dollmore site. Lots of good thick tights, leggings, sweaters, etc.

Soom Supergem fits (I'm just about to outfit my Bella Auden in SuperGem attire), Iplehouse SiD is a match (EID is going to be too big). IH SID boy shirts make nice Model tops, too.

The hardest thing about the Model girls is that the flat feet are big and you need big shoes for the flat feet. Standard SD flat shoes don't fit. Again, Dollmore has shoes. The high heel feet are a little easier to fit. Other sculpts with similarly big flat feet are Impldoll Star, Soom mechas, and Iplehouse EID and SID.

Interesting that you find Dollmore clothes a good fit. The waists on clothes for Model Dolls always seem to big to me. And I did once buy an outfit where the top fitted nicely, but the skirt had to go to an SD. The clothes for the boy doll always seem to have been made for his slightly bigger brother. They fit my Soom doll much better.

Kattermole, when I think about it, I probably haven't bought anything for the girls that required a super good fit. I haven't tried any of the fitted dresses, for example. My fave outfit is a loose cardigan and a pair of jeans. The jeans (with the paisley pattern at the bottom) fit beautifully. I have a ton of leggings and tights. I've bought a lot of the boy stuff, primarily Glamour Model clothes, and been quite happy with them. My SuperGem doesn't wear street clothes so I haven't tried the Dollmore clothes on her.

AnitaS - thank you for the info! I went through all 17 pages of clothes that DM had listed for their model dolls but only really liked 3 things so really have to find others that work and that I like before spending this kind of money!
