Hi everyone... I'm considering a Little Monica Sophia for my first SD, and would like an opinion on skintones. The WS looks very white, but what shade would you describe the normal as? I prefer a pale ns resin, but I don't like a pink normal, more of a creamy-normal.... those of you with a normal skin doll, would you describe it as pinky or not? Thanks for any help or pics

Hello kayjay! LM's NS is quite 'pinky' when compared to other NS, let's say... Volks or Luts. This thread might help with comparing LM NS to Volks NS which shows quite the contrast and the yellowness of Volks NS really brings out the pale pink undertones of LM. LM NS is very pale and that's probably what's causing the pink to show up.

However, what I can tell you is that the 'pink' is defiantly not noticeable in real life as I find my Yuria creamy and not a single bit 'pink'. I could take photos of her if you'd like but that would have to wait until tomorrow morning! 8U

eta: aaaaand I totally forgot but thank you Cydril and Lace Princess! and ughhhh WS girls are so adorable! I would love a WS Chloe since her dreamy look and along with that skin tone makes her look so... ephemeral and enchanting!

Ugem - thank you for your reply. I would love to see photos of your lovely girl tomorrow and I've also asked Little Monica if they have any NS Sophia to show, I've searched but can only find WS or Aiko which is obviously Ndoll resin colour, not LM. The fact you describe it as pale and not obviously pinky is great, I like a pale NS but not the strongly 'pink' NS such as Bobobie. Thanks for the link to the comparison thread, very useful. I do love the WS Sophias I've seen, am very tempted by WS as the faceup shows up so beautifully. Hmmm..... decisions, decisions!!

Uhhh. nDoll resin is the same as Little Monica resin, actually. They're manufactured by LM's factory. I ordered my Sophia back when she was an Aiko and an LM Chloe from nDoll, they were the same colour.

I agree that the Little Monica normal skin is quite light compared to other companies. The pink undertones are very soft and seem to show more in photos than in person. I prefer white skin dolls, which most of my collection is. My NS Chloe is light enough that she doesn't stand out as looking strange with them though.
kayjay I know what you mean about faceups standing out on the WS. I think the faceups look very good on LM normal too!

Yay more Chloe's! I cant wait to see what you do with your girl Lace Princess.

Kayjay, LM faceups are absolutely gorgeous, no matter the skin color, you cant really go wrong. Hands down, they're my favorite company for faceups

Actually, Little Monica resin is a pretty good match with newer Volks resin and possibly Peakswoods, as well.

I agree, SchizoCheese. My friend just purchased a boy body for her School A and the match is great - so I went ahead and purchased one as well
Life may not be the party you hoped for, but while we're here we should dance.

Welcome here, kayjay! Yep, as what SchizoCheese had said, nDoll's resin is the exact same resin as LM's.
And speaking about pics of Aiko, I searched for them some time ago for another member, and my post is still here in this topic on page 21
Here is a link to my post that contains many links of Aiko pictures:

Anyone seen Gloomy Sarubia? She is super cute, but I think I prefer regular Sarubia-she is definitely my next in line to buy.

I ordered Sophia's wig from dollzone without realizing how backlogged they were. Its been over two months...i hope they ship it soon, i am really itching to take some photos of her

Ugh. I think I'm in trouble. Gloomy Sarubia is so lovely. T^T

Thank you and thanks for the links. I'm afraid I succumbed to the Latidoll Limited release so am going to have to save a bit longer

Hello! I just discovered Little Monica. So, naturally, now I'm obsessed. Will take me a while to get through all these posts.

I appreciate all the info given here. I recently purchased a NS Sophia head on Ebay. Got her home, painted her up, and now I'm totally in love and have ordered a body.

This has probably already been asked, so please forgive my newbieness to this thread, but do you like how the Little Monica Harmony girl body poses? It looks quite lovely in the pictures.

Kayjay--although Sophia has a so-called pink undertone, it's really quite lovely and subtle. Definitely not anything like Bobobie or similar pinks. In fact, I noticed that Sophia's resin color is an exact match to my NS Edria.

Right now Sophia is borrowing a Luts Delf small bust Soo body. The body is old and most likely yellowed evenly. So this particular body is not a good color match. But that's what high-necked outfits are for. :-) Can't wait for Sophia to get her own body!

Hi Jay, Welcome! I really love the softness of the sculpt of the LM Harmony body and it balances quite well. I don't know about posing compared to other bodies, because I don't play around with my dolls very much. Is there a particular pose I can try for you? The hands are also very pretty.
I do like the Edria head on it. I just wish LM white matched LLT white. If the DT 18yr body doesn't work out I may blush Edria to match my Little Monica NS body.
I would love to see a picture of your Sophia.

kayjay--oh thanks for that link that Lilychristie posted. Those are great pictures of Sophia with the LM body. Now I'm really excited to get my girl.

I did a few pics of her with her temporary body here in this thread:

Cydril - thank you! The wig is a cheapy mohair by Global Dolls, I think, that I had fun styling. I like it because it has bangs but they're not too thick or cut back to far. I like the soft messiness.

She's beautiful, Jay, and I love the soft messy wig too. Although my heart does lie with Tiny bjds, your girl is an example of why I want to have (just one ) SD, to enjoy different style of clothing, shoes and wigs.
