Thread: Latidoll White dolls Discussion part 1

  1. #841
Hello!! Joining this thread for the first time!

My dearest friend gave me a Lati White a few months ago and I'm still learning how to take her picture. I was hesitant to start a whole new collection of wigs but now that little Margarita ("Mags", for short; "Margarita" seems too big for such a little thing!) is going to preschool, I guess I'll have to! Poor little Mags seemed so ill-at-ease with her new classmates.

Is it safe to get wigs that say 4" or should I really aim for 3.5" (some wigs that say 3-4 turn out to be closer to 4")? Her head seems so tiny!

yayyyy keep them coming!! loving the little school props, so cute!!

Dollsdollsdolls, unfortunately i have no idea about wig size, since i just purchased it tgt with the doll str from lati. Hope someone else can help you out with it though!

I've also got a question myself, where do you guys get your lati white BASIC clothing? (i just realised this might be against the rules to ask, hmm. please ignore if it is then!)

Here's a photo of my little Belle! She's currently sleeping in a little roombox now. ♥ Wished i had a sleeping face for her though!

    Thanks, jteoaiwei!

Ooh, your little one's wig is perfect on her tiny head (and that's a really funny photo of her with clothes that are too big for her!)

I don't think it's against the rules to mention which clothes fit (someone please correct me if I'm wrong); little Mags swiped her outfit from Kelly (as in, Barbie's little sister). The dresses and shoes are perfect for Lati White basics.

oohh i'm going to have to go to the toy store soon then heh heh. imagine me fighting for kelly clothes with a little girl. -__-

and thank you, i usually like to use a ribbon or hair accessory to tie down the wig, so that it doesn't look too poofed up on their little heads!

would love to see more photos of your lati white, so please spam away! ♥

Some of the Kelly outfits do fit, they are the right size around but they can be a little tall. This is a Kelly outfit. The arms/legs are too long but it looks like a baby onesie. The wig in this picture is from sewaddicted, and while it's super long I really like it. I think a headband works well with the tiny dolls to help keep their wigs on.

I've been having trouble finding anyone selling clothing for Lati whites as well. Island Doll Leshy dolls are a bit taller, but about the same size around. I've heard mixed messages on Kelly shoes - I've heard they fit Lati yellows and Lati whites so I'm confused on that. I'd like to get one and try them out.

Yes I gave you the bunny outfit that fit a Kelly or something in the Barbie line. I got it in a batch of small Barbie little girl clothes. I believe someone on the board said that there was more than one size of little doll sold in the past. I don't know about the shoes though. The new jelly shoes may fit but I don't think it was the white size.

I've been thinking about trying to make some little shoes. But I think they would have to be glued and not sewn. So hard that size.

I made some little shoes out of cardboard, ribbon and elastic. I'll try to get a tutorial for them soon. They would be ruined if they got wet, but they do look really cute. I used the cardboard box from some doll clothing, so it's coated in plastic and a little better than just plain cardboard.

I read somewhere that there was a taller Kelly released some time ago; thus the mixed reviews. Definitely the standard Kelly shoes would not fit Lati Yellows. The shoes that came with the little Kelly that had an X ray machine are perfect on little Mags, my Lati White (those pink shoes she's wearing in the picture I posted above came from a standard Kelly doll) I have not tried Kelly pants on Mags but I would imagine that they would be long. Kelly skirts, dresses and short-sleeved blouses work perfectly (Mags's outfit also came off Kelly)

Mags responds to the request for spam!

There is a made-in-China Kelly-sized doll from a line called "Sabrina" that popped up at the local Toys R Us branch, and her blouse makes a perfect dress for Mags...the shoes fit great, too! (Bureau/drawers of the 1:12 scale are perfect for Latis -- the drawers of this cute little piece really slide out very smoothly!)

Tissue and hairbrush are courtesy of Barbie...

P.S. We've got a lot of Kellys and Sabrinas going about barefoot around here!

Mags claimed all the shoes; the white tennis shoes on the right may look big but that's only because they're in the foreground. They are actually identical to the pair Mags is wearing (guess I got two Kellys that had the same shoes...)

ahahh! the poor kellys and sabrinas, all robbed of clothing and shoes! heehee. Thank you for the photos!! ♥ very lovely.

A doll seamstress has answered my call for clothes, so hoping to post them with my little Mio here soon! ♥

I just saw a photo of a sleeping lati white, and after some research i think it was one of the special gifts (sleeping pury) given out by lati a long time ago. Wondering if there were any more sleeping faces for lati white made after that? I really wish to give her a sleeping face so that she can erm.. sleep. hahah!

That's a great idea, jteoaiwei! My little one sleeps with her eyes open, poor thing. I can't even find blinders to fit her.

Here's Mags again with another "generic" doll that I found on sale for something like US$2.50 (the jelly shoes fit great!); I think Mags was being honest and telling the doll that her clothes would be added to Mags's wardrobe, but not to worry because we have extra dresses for the new clothing donors:

I know some people are curious about the lati white body posing. and here's to prove everyone wrong, these little babies can pose! ♥

You just have to be patient.

Kiyono, you're right!! I just got little pants for her, and she is a lot less kicky with them. I'll be posting her with her little clothes soon. ♥

Where are the other lati white babies!! Mio's tired of being the only one here. She said she saw so many of her brothers and sisters at the lati factory going to many homes in the world, but she seems all alone now.

I have one (a Pury), but she has no face-up and no wig at the moment, so I'm reluctant to post pics of her. But you're right, I'd love to see more Lati White spam!!

I made a light box today and it worked great, the colors are vibrant, the photo isn't grainy, and it's in focus! Unfortunately I couldn't get any light on Marsalli's face. I think I need to break down and get some fiber wigs for her, the fur wigs always give me so much trouble even though they are cute.
