Hey, my SDC Arashi has been having...wig issues. Every wig I get for him that's labeled "SDC" ends up being the weeny. I have to fight him to get the damn things on him!
Any suggestions? I'm getting frustrated and it's not going to be pretty when I tear any given wig a new one.
Err, in my experience the SDC boys have MSD size heads, so you should stick with MSD size wigs. ^^' I dunno about Arashi, but when I had a Miko, his head measured 8" around. The girls wear SDC/unoa size because they're *much* smaller overall, their heads only measure 7" around.

MSD size wigs work fine on Melody (SDC Ren). It really varies, it seems.
Yeah, my Ren is more agreeable, something about her head shape, so I can fit the 6-7" on her, and she can wear 7-8" (although sometimes they're too big... it depends on the quality of wig... if it's from Volks, MSD or SDC size will fit the girls).
But like I said... MSD wigs are usually too big on the girls (or at least Kaede/Kurenai), so your Kaede would probably be a lot better off with an unoa-sized wig, piccadilly... Archangel_Raphael's asking about a boy SDC, they're much larger.
My Kaede looks great in YoSD wigs (the Volks ones, I cannot speak for other companies).
However, I noticed that my friends boy SDC has a head way bigger than Kaede's. It is about MSD size. ^_^
Varies a lot. Supposedly Yos and SDC have the same head size, although I can't say I've checked. I've found MSD wigs too big for my Arashi O_o He's definitely more of a size 6-7 than the 7-8.
My experiece is that Arashi and Miko both wear MSD size wigs best, but Kaede does fit into SDC wigs..
I think Volks wigs vary wildly by style. I've got a couple in MSD size that fit my Miko wonderfully, and some he (and most of my MSD kidz) swims in. Ditto for SDC size wigs, though those seem to be more consistent for size. The wig he wears most often, however, is the Yo-tenshi Yuki default wig. It fits great and looks beautiful on him.

Volksusa has clothing listed as MSD/SDC
my question is does MSD clothing really fit SDC? or is it extremely big to the point where its just annoying lol. Because im getting an SDC sized doll and i love some of the outfits on Volks site.
Most MSD boy clothes fit SDC boys nicely, though they are occasionally too short - I have a pair of V-jeans that was marked MSD/SDC that are even on the short side for my long legged MSD boys. In general they fit nicely and not at all oversized.
I can't say about the girl clothes, however, as I only have an SDC boy.

Some of the clothes marked MSD/SDC for boys fit my SDC Miko well and some are too big in the waist. They are not loose enough to fall off the doll and you can tighten the belt if the outfit comes with a belt.
For the SDC girl, the problem is again the smaller waist. The one outfit I have has elastic in the waist and it fits fine. I have not bought the other outfits for girls because of my concern about the fit in the waist.

I will soon be attaining and putting together my first Mini, and I have a question!
She will be a hybrid, a Volks SDCute Ren head, on a DOC new-type girl body. Now, it's so difficult for me to find the right wig for her, as she is a doll-form of a character very special to me, but I finally found the perfect wig! My only problem is, is that it's offered in a size 7~8 AND 6~7...
So, which size would be best? Any help is appreciated!!!
Also, I would like to know, to all SDC Ren owners out there, what eye size is best for her? Her default eye size? Thank yous ~~~^^~~~

For SDC girls the better size is the Yo-SD size. (I think that's a 6~7)
Ren has a bit of a larger head than the other SDCs. Mine wears a 6-7 but she needs velcro to keep it on her head ^^; it has a tendency to just pop right off.
I've put her in a MSD sized leekeworld wig and it happened to fit her rather perfectly. I think that was a 7-8.
I tried putting 14mm eyes into my Ren, but she really didn't seem fond of them heh. 16mm eyes are her default- they're pretty large, but they do happen to make her look cuter in a way. More innocent if you will.
I remember using the size 7-8 wig for Ren when I had her. The Volks SDC kids have larger heads where the wig fits than most. I never changed her eyes.
Definitely 16mm for eyes. I've tried 14mm and it leaves a gap. If you want a grown-up look you'll have to find 16mm eyes with a smaller pupil/iris.
As for wigs, it's kind of hit and miss. Some 7-8" wigs are too large. If funds permit, I would buy both sizes and see which looks better on.
have anybody tried to use MSD hands on a SDC? I wonder if I can use them on my Kaede.
